"The hand of the Lord has gone out against me." Ruth 1:13
It is blessed that we know the whole account here, that Naomi had to go through this sorrow and loss, in order that the line of Christ might be done. And it is this way throughout life, sorrow will come and has come, but there is a purpose in it. It is one thing when the natural order of things of this life causes sorrow and pain. But it is quite another when we bring wrath and punishment on our selves and those around us.
We are in the place right now where we can say, 'the hand of the Lord has gone out against us'. And we know that there are multiple reasons for this. The church has lost its priority of holiness and surrender; there is great ignorance of the Word of God for failure to read and study; prayerlessness is upon the vast majority of the church. And when the church lets up on pursuing God and His righteousness, the devil will take full advantage of it. And then, in this cycle God moves His people through remedial judgments to return and do their first works. But if they don't then the judgements intensify.
For a long time we have not returned and done our first works. Now there are some blessed men that are leading now with such a spirit of surrender to the Lord, and we thank God for these. Francis Chan, David Platt, and Paul Washer to name a few of these men that are calling the church and setting the example to return. But all the while that this process of returning is going on, the wickedness and evil is raging and the 'floods of evil have come in' upon our nation. Greater and greater numbers of death and destruction are happening. And still it seems to me, to the greater part without alarm or urgency from the church. I cannot fathom this for anything why the church is not alarmed at what is happening.
Never have we seen anything like this which is happening to our nation week after week. And yet, no call from the church for immediate supplications, or fastings, or all night prayer meetings to seek the face of God. 'His hand has gone out against us' and in such times we should plead 'in wrath remember mercy'. There should be the quick identification of 'why' this is happening.
Why:
--we have legalized great evils of abortion, homosexuality and drug usage;
--acceptable lifestyles in and out of the church of divorce; fornication by the young people; adultery and multiple marriages by the old people;
--acceptance of profanity, alcohol, tobacco, tattoos, piercings, drugs so long as it is 'moderate';
--self and sin are priority; eternity and surrender are a rare breed of lifestyles;
When God's hand goes out on a nation, and the cause has been made known; it is the responsibility of the church leaders to adhere to this and correct it. Failure of church leaders to do so, only allows for it to continue. Church leaders are placed in these positions for such a time as this. My failure to get them to respond is one of my greatest failures. This has been submitted to any and all that will receive it. And yet, not one leader has contacted me to discuss it, pray about it or address it. If the teaching on the 'epidemics' does not reveal how far we have fallen in the last decade and how fast we are falling I don't know if they will ever respond till its too late.
time is of the urgency in this. This is the topic that I am helping to address among prayer link. And i have come to a conclusion on this: "If the Holy Spirit does not create a spirit of urgency, it cannot be done by man." Even if men create some sort of urgency to respond, it cannot be sustained unless by the Spirit. If men do it, it will fade away. When Josiah, read the words of the Law, a spirit of urgency came upon him and he went throughout all of Israel seeking to make the wrongs right and present a right spirit of worship in Jerusalem. But judgement was still to come for Manasseh. I believe this is where we will be. We will see real revival fall on the nations, but in the midst or after the midst of those blessed days, great judgement and wrath will fall leading to calamities unlike any we have known. Death and destruction is coming because the hand of the Lord has gone out against us.
EPIDEMICS:
1. Drugs - no doubt the death rate will lessen in 2018 from the record number in 2017 of 71,000; but the uesage and od's are still at an all time high. And the deaths, though less, are still happening and impacting all of society. Quite the scourge on our nation and affecting our future. and while they seek for laws and medial remedies, it is not to be resolved there. this is an spiritual warfare issue and will only be won there.
2. Cancer - more and more diagnosed, especially among church brethren; increase of this is evident on our nation;
3. Great Evil - Jacksonville became the latest city to have this evil named among it; a murder-suicide of 3 people; school shootings, police shot and killed are at 0 as we come to the close of this month. This is due largely to an increase of prayer partners praying toward this end. These evils will continue because the sin continues, evil holds and owns them. We pray against it and for deliverance; but so long as Satan and evil hold their minds and their hearts, he will be allowed to do his worst among us. But to not pray against this, only allows freedom for hm to do what he wants, when he wants. This shall not be so long as we have opportunity to pray against evil and restrain it.
4. Lgbt agenda - they will know not let up or quit; Planned Parenthood and all advancement of evil is an attack of judgement on our nation. The fact that it continues to swell and increase in laws, lawsuits, and people joining is showing us the moral collapse of our nation. Romans 1 is upon us; God gave them over to reprobate minds;
5. Children - continued abuse, neglect, sex trade mounts; more and more headlines, and more and more children testifying that they have been sexual abused for years. Thus making this the great sin and crime of our generation of perversion, lust, and lasciviousness. The fact that there is not a child that enters Pre-K, or Kindergarten that has not been physically, emotionally or sexually abused is one of the great crimes of this century.
6. Natural Calamities - the month of August has put on quite a show in earthquakes. there have been 4 earthquakes of 7.0 or greater, this is highly unusual; Hurricane Lane dumped feet of water on Hawaii in places; 1/3 of nation continues under drought; wildfires in the west with record areas of land burned up; and now it seems tropical development in the Atlantic;
