JUDGEMENT AND/OR REVIVAL

Greetings,
The great day of the Lord is near, it is near, and hasteth greatly, even the voice of the day of the Lord:  the mighty man shall cry there bitterly.  That day is a day of wrath, a day of trouble and distress, a day of wasteness and desolation, a day of darkness and gloominess, a day of clouds and thick darkness, A day of the trumpet and alarm against the fenced cities, and against the high tower."  Zephaniah 1:14 - 16

J. Edwin Orr said of revival, "The day/time of revival is just like judgement day."  Meaning that when God shows up in His fullness upon His people, God cleans house.   God makes that day a day of reckoning and recompense for His people to get right, right now.   And all the horrors and shame of sins confessed and not confessed, sins remembered and not remembered are brought to light.   And all the wrongs are made right when that day comes.

For a long time, I have wondered how that day would come.  Would it come through God meeting His people that have sought and longed, in travailing spirit and HE meet them?  Or would it come in the worst calamities of our judgement?   I remember this because of the African man that shared with church leaders a few years ago, when he said, "in our country, the Christian church did not pray and seek the Lord out of desperation; but when calamity came and we was driven into the marshes, all night you would hear the scream, cries of the people hiding.  Crying out to God, 'to help and hear us.'   You see we did not pray out of desperation, but we did pray in times of desperation.   And if the American church does not learn this lesson and pray out of desperation now, you will pray in desperation."

Long has this been on my mind, when does revival come?   Revival before judgement, during judgement or after judgement?  Our nation has been blessed with more than any other nation.  And where there is much given, there is much required.  And what we have done with what we have been given in some scales is good, but the greater balance is that of evil.  So it is not a question 'if' we are going to be judged or face judgements.  Yea, we are already under remedial judgements of God for our great sin.   The only question left is 'how severe will this judgement be?'  Will it be annihilation? or will we respond rightly and receive God's mercy?  continuing on this same response and pattern, we are steam rolling to God 'removing us from the earth'.

Now the same belief I have of judgement I also have of revival.   It is not a question of whether there will be another world wide, great revival or not.   God in His Sovereign ways of grace and mercy, will usher forth one more great movement of revival upon His church to finish the task of reaching all people with the invitation of the Gospel.  And out of this great numbers will be ushered into the kingdom as children of God.   The prayer movement which has continued faithfully through the remnant is one of my firmest convictions that God is going to usher forth another great revivla.  Why would God burden and raise up this remnant to cry out to Him day and night?  why would they give their lives to seek for that which they have never seen or experienced before?   Because God has birthed within them this desire; for the purpose of bringing it to pass.

One of my word/phrase studies that I did in reading through the Bible was the word study of 'day', and the phrase study of 'day and night, D&N'.   In verse 14 we are told of the day, 'The great day of the Lord. . . '   All days of time are the Lord's.   Yet, in this verse as in other verses, that reference is there is a 'great day'.   Judgement and revival are "great days" in the Lord.  For in these days, His justice and judgement is meeted out to the whole in a 'suddenly' fashion.    No other days are like those days.   It is filled with extreme opposites of experience; filled with great joy, yet filled with great fear.

Let us look at the references in verses 14 - 16;
1.  V. 14, "The great day of the Lord. . . the day of the Lord"

2.  V. 15, "That day";  'A Day of Wrath"; "A Day of Trouble  & Distress"; "A Day of Wasteness and Desolation"; "A Day of Darkness and Gloominess";  "A Day of Clouds and Thick Darkness"

3.  V. 16, "A Day of the Trumpet and Alarm"

The Day of the Lord is when God comes to fulfill and do His divine will.  Now God's way and will are right, no matter what it is.   'Shall not the Judge of all the earth do right?"  Yes, He will.  Now whether that will is blessings or cursing; mercy or wrath; judgement or revival -- It is right!   God does not make mistakes.   He does not judge impartially or make an error.   And it is necessary to understand that as time unfolds to the developments that God has orchestrated, allowed and willed, it will be for His glory and because it is right.   Let us understand that the day of the Lord is the culmination and the finishing of a time period, of a purpose of history.

We see in the Bible numerous moments that God speaks and prophesies about that reveals these time periods of history.   such phrases or statements, 'And it came to pass'; 'at the end of'; 'fulfilled' that all depict a time period beginning, happening or ending.   And at the end of each of these moments, the day of the Lord comes upon them.   sometimes for blessings, as we see Israel brought out of Egypt; Israel allowed into the promised land; time periods of the saints and the day of Pentecost.   Sometimes for cursings, as we see in Babylon being destroyed;  Judah and Israel carried off and destroyed.   That which God had said would happen, did happen and it was the day of the Lord.

Now these 'days of the Lord' are described with horrifying descriptions:
v. 14, 'the voice of the day of the Lord the mighty man shall cry there bitterly'
v. 15 'day of wrath. . . trouble & distress. . . .wasteness & desolation. . . darkness & gloominess. . . . clouds & thick darkness'
v. 16 'a day of trumpet & alarm'

This is a day of great death and defeat.  The enemy has come and God has allowed and given them place to destroy and judge His people for their great sins.   This is the day of the Lord in judgement.   But the day of the Lord for revival takes on the same descriptions.   Although it may not be death and destruction of physical, it is lives that are turned upside down, and inside out for His glory.   Great upheaval of the normal way of life for the glory of the Lord.   But when God is dealing with a people, there is great lamentation, great sorrow, great anguish on the day of the Lord as sins are purged and the travailing of the souls ushers in new creatures in Christ.

Why judgement or revival?
the day of the Lord that ushers in one of the other of these two major events is because of where God's people are at in relationship to Him.   The nations, the people, and God's Own church has forsaken and forgotten Him.   They have fallen into great sin, abominations and evil.   And God in His purposes and ways, must do a great work in response to their great evil to bring forth grace and/or wrath.  IT is not the small matter, insignificant events on this day of the Lord.  But it is a great moment in time that changes history,either for the good or for the worst.

God can 'in wrath remember mercy' and bring forth fruits of revival and 'godly sorrow unto repentance'.   God can also bring forth that awful verses, 'I will remove you from the earth'; 'till there was no remedy.'    But the act of God, which is heralded as 'the day of the Lord' is directly due to the peoples sins and gross evil against Him and His ways.

As the people have forgotten God, turned more toward evil, God has in grace and mercy and long-suffering, sent trials and afflictions to cause them to turn back to Him.  We call this remedial judgements.  Remedial judgements are sent upon a nation, a people, a family, the church, for correction of their sins against the Lord.   If they turn and repent and restore their relationship to God's ways, the remedial judgements cease.  IF they refuse and continue and grow worse and worse, then God intensifies the judgements 7X (seven-fold).    Now you would think that men would learn and turn before its too late.  However, history has shown time and again that men do not learn and turn and 'the day of the Lord has come with great vengeance and wrath.

We read during these times of the day of the Lord of great wrath that they came 'suddenly'.   'This night thy soul shall be required of thee' God warned the king of Babylon.   'And in one day, they was overthrown. . . '  because they did not heed the word of the Lord nor the ways of the Lord.

but just as much during the great outpourings of revival, they came at the heighten increase of evil and God instead of severe wrath, brought forth great revival.   such a contrast, and yet all for the purpose of God.  Men had turned away from Him, great sin was practiced openly and hidden, great forsaken of God's house, morals were gone, evils abounded and God was angry.  Yet, instead of wrath, God remembered mercy and moved individuals, the remnant to seek Him for the day of the Lord in a great outpouring of His Holy Spirit.

Where are we at?
Is the day of the Lord revival? or great wrath?

We are under judgement right now;  but not 'great judgement'.   The escalation in judgement is severe.  Measuring by the lat 18 years, or just to view what has happened and what is going on in this century thus far, is incredible to see how the hand of God has gone out against us.  things that never would have been imagined years ago, are now unfolding on us.  Headlines and happenings that are 'historic' and 'record setting' are every week now.   The great alarm of Ichabod on our streets, homes and future is happening.  but what?  even now.

But revival is God's sovereign work.  God's ways are not our ways; and His thoughts are not our thoughts.  So we are in a place of 'waiting upon God' to see which shall be for our future.   Yea, we are at a "Y" in the road.  Go to the left and severe, cataclysmic judgement; great judgement.   but vere to the right and God is ready to pour out His Spirit upon us.   but we are at that point now, one or the other.     Ready for both, expecting either.   but not void of understanding of the times we are living in.  Not ignorant of God's nature and will, but accepting of it.   'Thy will be done Lord'.

Now we are not promised revival because we deserve it.   But we are promised judgement, because we deserve it.   Our nation has legalized, passed judicial edicts that are as evil and an abomination in His sight that any nation or kingdom has ever done.   And we continue to deepen the plight of our nation toward wickedness rather than godliness.  The church has not helped in this much either.  For the church, who should know better, has not done better.

The accounts in the Bible that brought great judgement upon a people, rather than revival or mercy.
Genesis 6 - God saw the wickedness of men that 'it was continual';
Genesis 18 - 19 - God saw and knew the wickedness of Sodom and Gomorrah and destroyed them; annhilated them;
Joshua - God destroyed the "-ites" of the promised land for they had defiled, polluted and abhorred the Lord God and worshipped wicked idols and gods;  And God destroyed them from before Him;
II Kings 17 - God destroys and removes the children of ISrael for their great folly and wickedness;
II Chronicles 36 - "till there was no remedy";  God removes Judah from the land and destroys Jerusalem;  Sending the children of Judah into captivity at Babylon for 70 years;
Luke 19 - Christ weeps over Jerusalem for their great sin of rejecting Him;   God foretold that the city and people would be destroyed and they was in 70 AD;
Revelation - the last of the 7 judgements;  7 seals; 7 trumpets; and 7 vials all leading to 'the great day of the Lord";

Now knowing these truths of God's nature and characteristic, we must think of where we are in His sight.   Is it wrath or mercy?   If God in His sovereign will would say, 'destroy them' and remove them from the earth';  we know we deserve this.   Yet, in seeking Him for favor and mercy, HE may grant an outpouring of His Divine Manifest Presence.   Deserving of nothing, yet receiving from Him the blessedness of it.

PRAYER BLOG - OCTOBER 26

Greetings,
"So ye shall not pollute the land wherein ye are:  for blood it defileth the land; and the land cannot be cleansed of the blood that is shed therein, but by the blood of him that shed it."  Numbers 35:33

When praying against sin, we see the high cost in our lives; past, present and future.   Has it been recognized? Has it been acknowledged?   Has it been dealt with properly?   Prayers of confession are usually dealt with in the most general, haphazard way by the Christian and by the church.   "Lord, forgive me and us of all our sin."   Now its not that that Lord does not honor that prayer or answer that prayer.   but whenever I hear some one pray that prayer, I always hear the Lord say, 'Forgive for which sin?  what did you do?'   God wants us to be specific on what has been polluted; defiled; and not cleansed.

Land/Nation - Is our land polluted?  wherein  Is our land defiled?  wherein   Is our land in need of cleansing?  wherein.
Home/Family - Is our home/family polluted?  Is our home/family defiled?  Is our home/family clean?
Church - Is our church polluted?  Is our church defiled?   Is our church clean?
Personal heart - Am I polluted?  Am I defiled?  Am I unclean?

sin pollutes, defiles and makes us unclean.  Here in this passage it is the sin of shed blood.  None of us are void of this offense.  For our land has shed the blood of abortion, the innocent babies.   our streets are filled with the blood every day through murder.   and the hate and malice in men's hearts one toward another is filled with the intent of killing.   And what shall we say of the damned, that go out into eternity with little or no prayers for their lost souls.   Little or no tears for their eternal plight in hell.   And hardly a plea from the Christian church to engage them about their eternal soul is spoken to them.    Do you not think that God will hold us innocent over the blood of souls?  He will require the blood of those souls at our hands.  Ezekiel 3 & 33;

do you know that old hymn, "Must I Go Empty Handed?"
“Must I go, and empty-handed,”
Thus my dear Redeemer meet?
Not one day of service give Him,
Lay no trophy at His feet?
  • Refrain:
    “Must I go, and empty-handed?”
    Must I meet my Savior so?
    Not one soul with which to greet Him,
    Must I empty-handed go?
Many may wish to excuse or defer accountability, but before the Lord 'everything will give an account of good or evil before the Lord'.   Every act, intent, heart movement, and deed will be called into question for "Who's/who's glory did you do this? Mine or yours?"

These are tough things to deal with by the church, by individual Christians about where we are and what's going on.   And I do not presume to have the answers to it all.  But what I do read and understand is that God holds a people accountable for the blood shed upon the land.   Manasseh was guilty of the same; Cain was guilty of the same - 'Your brother's blood cries out to Me from the ground'    The blood is the gift of life from God; God is life and when it is spilt upon the ground it pollutes, defiles and makes unclean.

Of course apart from blood shed, is the sins of the heart, mind, mouth, eyes, hands, and intents;  of that which is done, and that which is not done.   sin in the whole pollutes, defiles and makes unclean.  Therefore the church and Christians must go beyond the basic of 'Lord, forgive me for my/our sins"  When God is convicting us, 'Which sins do you want forgiven for?"   Specific examination rather than general.

And only then is sin dealt with, confessed, repented of, and put away from among us.   Just after the floods, wildfires and hurricanes upon our land this year, there was much clean up after.   So when sin is brought before us, there is much clean up before the Lord, at the cross and in the fountain filled with blood, drawn from Immanuels' veins to lose all our guilty stains.

As I write and plead in prayer against remedial judgements, God's reciprocal response to man's; EPIDEMICS and fate of our future; it is found in the dealing with sin properly.  We are guilty and we must make it known to the body of Christ, it must be taught and shown in Scripture - "Herein is your sin"; 'Thou art the man'.   Once it is recognized and acknowledged it can be remedied by the grace and mercy of God upon a truly repentant heart.   But to allow it is folly and prolongs His wrath against us.

EPIDEMICS:
1.  Drugs - reports of NJ seeing higher death overdoses;  but rest of nation is lower;   This is which I said before, death total will come down from the record number of last year 70,000;  but drug useage is still at an all time high.   and the long term affects ares still not known for our future.
2.   Cancer -  rejoicing with answered prayers for some of these on my prayer list that God has been with them through surgery and treatments;   but within a 24 hour period, I had 3 more names given to me and 1 this mornign, totaling 4 more just this week;

3.  LGBT - such a trend among teenagers to experiment and go this way of polluting, defiling and making unclean in choices out of peer pressure or wantonness from heart desire of evil;  It continues to advance;

4.  Great Evil -   a few police officers have died this week;  no school shootings, but 2 major episodes were stopped due to your prayers;  Continue as evil lurks in the minds and hearts of many for Satans purposes of death, destruction

5.  Children -Wisconsin arrest made in 100's of cases of misisng children and sex trade;

6.  Natural Disasters - long term affects are bothering me of all these disasters we have experienced coast to coast;  the culminative judgement is not just the here and now, but what shall be;

Still wondering about EPIDEMIC #7.  the church has not dealt with it issues of sin and failure.  Thus the remedial judgements have increased and deepened.   Now the other judgements that God brought upon a land was pestilence and war.   These are hoovering over us;   and I see increases of possibilities of both.   Oh, that we would respond rightly and turn back His fierce wrath from us.  We do not have to continue to progress to our own demise like this.

THE ACTIVITY OF GOD IN THE BIBLE - JUDGES

The Activity of God

Going through the Bible, book by book, chapter by chapter, verse by verse, phrase by phrase and word by word to give attention to the following:
--the Names of God;
--the word & deeds of God;
--the sayings of God;
--the attributes of God;

Too often the churches weakness and the Christians weakness is found in this one sin, 'we do not know God'.  We have not studied the Bible, nor Him to learn more of Him.  Seeking that this might be a help for myself and others in this pursuit that each of us 'may grow in grace and knowledge of our Lord.'

JUDGES
Chapter 1
 1:1     that the children of Israel asked the Lord, saying     God hears and knows their questions;  Omniscient;
1:2     And the Lord said, Judah shall go up; behold, I have delivered the land into his hand.     And God said/spoke;   God gives directive of what and who they shall do;   God delivered enemy into their hand;
1:4     and the Lord delivered the Canaanites and the Perizzites into their hand     God delivers the enemy into their hand for victory, just as He said;
1:7    as I have done so God hath requited me     God returns the action done by man upon him;
1:19   and the Lord was with Judah; and he drave out the inhabitants of the mountain; but could not drive out the inhabitants of the valley, because they had chariots of iron.     God was with them;   God is able to drive out chariots, so something is wrong that they could not do this;
1:22     and the Lord was with them     God is with His people;
Chapter 2
2:1     And an angel of the Lord came up from Gilgal to Bochim, and said, I made you to go up out of Egypt, and have brought you unto the land which I sware unto your fathers; and I said, I will never break My covenant with you.     God sends His angel, representing His Person and Presence;  And God said/spoke/sware (3);   God made them to go up out of  Egypt;  God brought them to the promised land;  I will's of God to never break His covenant with them;
2:2    but ye have not obeyed My voice:  why have ye done this?    God reminds them of what He had instructed about the heathen nations and not to make a league and to destroy their idols.    God rebukes them for their sin of disobedience.   God asks a question that He already knows the answer to;
2:3      Wherefore I also said, I will not drive them out from before you;   And God said/spoke;   I will's of God to not drive them out from before them for their disobedience;  God warns that they shall be thorns in their side and a snare unto them.
2:4      and it came to pass when the angel of the Lord spake these words unto all the children of ISrael, that the people lifted up their voice, and wept.    And God said/.spake;   God's Word brought great sorrow to the sinful people;  'godly sorrow unto repentance'.
2:5     and they sacrificed there unto the Lord    God receives the sacrifice of His people unto Himself;
2:7     And the people served the Lord all the days of Joshua, and all the days of the elders that outlived Joshua, who had seen all the great work of the Lord, that He did for Israel.    God's people served Him under strong leadership of Joshua and the elders;   God made and allowed for His mighty works to be seen by His people;   God did much for His people Israel.
2:8     And Joshua the son of Nun, the servant of the Lord died     God knows His servants;  life and death is found in Him;
2:10     and there arose another generation after them, which knew not the Lrod, nor yet the works which He had done for Israel    God warned that if they did not speak and teach their children of Him and His works and ways that they would forget and depart from Him;
2:11     And the children of Israel did evil in the sight of the Lord     God sees and knows when men do evil, idolatry;   Omnipresent; Omniscient;
2:12     And they forsook the Lord God of their fathers, which brought them out of the land of Egypt. . . and provoked the Lord to anger.    God knows and sees when His people forsake Him;  God brought them out of Egypt;  God is provoked to anger by their sin;
2:13     And they forsook the Lord, and served Ball and Astatroth.    God knows and sees when His people forsake Him;
2:14      And the anger of the Lord was hot against Israel and He delivered them into the hands of spoilers that spoiled them, and He sold them into the hands of their enemies round about, so that they could not any longer stand before their enemies.    God is angry;  God delivers them into enemies hands to spoil them;  God sold them into enemy;   God allowed and refused to protect and deliver but they could not stand before enemies;
2:15     Whithersoever they went out, the hand of the Lord was agianst them for evil as the Lord had said, and as the Lord had sworn unto them;  and they were greatly distressed.    God's hand against them for evil;  And God said/spake/swore;
2:16     Nevertheless the Lord raised up judges, which delivered the out of the hand of those that spoiled them.     God raises up judged;  God delivers them out of enemies hand;
2:17     which their fathers walked in, obeying the commandments of the Lord but they did not so.    the Lord commanded;   God knows those that walk and keep His commands, and those that don't; Omniscient;
2:18     And when the Lord raised them up judges, then the Lord was with the judge, and delivered them out of the hand of their enemies all the days of the judge; for it repented the Lord because of their groanings by reason of them that oppressed them, and vexed them.    God raised up judges and was with them;   God delivered them out of the hand of their enemeis;   God repented for what He saw and heard of their groanings and being vexed and oppressed by enemy;
2:20     And the anger of the Lord was hot against Israel; and He said, Because that this people hath transgressed My covenant which I commanded their fathers, and have not hearkened unto My voice;    God is angry for their sin;   And God said/spoke;   God sees and hears of those that keep and those that break his covenant;  the Lord commanded;   God's voice speaks but not heard;
2:21     I will not henceforth drive out any from before them of the nations which Joshua left     I will's of God to not drive out enemy for their folly;
2:22     That through them I may prove Israel, whether they will keep the way of the Lord to walk therein, as their fathers' did keep it or not.     God's proves His children's obedience;   God know whether they and fathers kept it or not;  Omnipresent; Omniscient;
2:23     Therefore the Lord left those nations, without driving them out hastily; neither delivered He them into the hand of Joshua.       God left nations; God did not drive them out ;  God did not deliver them into their hand;
Chapter 3
3:1     Now these are the nations which the Lord left, to prove Israel by them    God left nations;  God proved ISrael whether they would serve and obey or not;
3:4     And they were to prove Israel by them to know whether they would hearken unto the commandments of the Lord which He commanded their fathers     the Lord commanded;   God proved Israel to know whether they would obey or not;
3:7     And the children of ISrael did evil in the sight of the Lord and forgat the Lord their God    God sees and knows their sin of evil against Him;   God is forgotten by His people;
3:8     Therefore the anger of the Lord was hot against Israel and He sold them into the hand     God is angry with them for their sin and waxed hot against them;  God sold them into servitude;
3:9     And when the children of ISrael cried unto the Lord, the Lord raised up a deliverer to the children of Israel, who deliver them      God heard their cry;  God raised up delivered to deliver ;
3:10     And the Spirit of the Lord came upon him. . . and the Lord delivered . . into his hand     God's Spirit came upon him;  God deliverred them out of the hand of their enemy;
3:12     And the children of Israel did evil again in the sight of the Lord and the Lord strengthened Eglon king of Moab against Israel because they had done evil in the sight of the Lord.     God saw their sin against Him (2);   God strengthened enemy to punish them;
3:16     But when the children of ISrael cried unto the Lord the Lord raised them up a ddliever    God saw their need, God heard their cry;   God raised up a deliverer;
3:20    I have a message from God unto thee     God sends His message and messenger for deliverance of His people and judge the wicked;
3:28     for the Lord hath delivered your enemies the Moabites into your hand    God delivered enemy into their hand for victory and deliverance from captivity;
3:31    and he also delivered Israel    God raises up men and delivers for His purpose;
Chapter 4
4:1    And the children of Israel again did evil in the sight of the Lord, when Ehud was dead.    God sees and knows when men and people do evil against Him;
4:2     And the Lord sold them into the hand of Jabin     God sells His people into captivity for their evil;
4:3    And the children of Israel cried unto the Lord for he had nine hundred chariots of iron. . . he mightily oppressed the children of Israel     God hears and knows the needs of the cries of His people;
4:6     Hath not the Lord God of Israel commanded saying, Go and draw toward mount Tabor?    the Lord commanded;   God gave specific instructions to Barak;
4:7     And I will draw unto thee to the river Kishon Sisera, the captain of Jabin's army . . . and I will deliver him into thine hand.    I will's of God to draw enemy to battle and I will's of God to deliver them into his hand for victory;
4:9     for the Lord shall sell Sisera into the hand of a  woman     God gives victory through a woman; Omnipresent;
4:14     Up; for this is the day in which the Lord hath delivered Sisera into thine hand:  is not the Lord gone out before thee?     God delivers victory against Sisera into Barak's hand;  God goes out before them;   Omnipresent;  Omniscient;
4:15     And the Lord discomfitted Sisera and all his chariots and all his hosts with the edge of the sword before Barak     God discomfits enemy before His servants and people for victory;
4:23     So God subdued on that day Jabin the king of Canaan before the children of Israel.    God is able and does subdue enemies of His people;  Omniscient; Omnipotent;
Chapter 5
5:2     Praise ye the Lord for teh avenging of Israel    God is worthy of praise from His people;  God avenged Israel against enemies;
5:3     I will sing unto the Lord, I will sing praise to the Lord God of Israel     God hears and receives song and praise unto His great Name;
5:4      Lord, when Thou wentest out of Seir, when Thou marchedst out of the field of Edom    God went out against enemy;  God marched out;
5:5     The mountains melted from before the Lord, even that Sinai from before the Lord God of Israel.    God is able to melt moutnains before Him (2);  God moves mountains from before Him;
5:9    Bless ye the Lord     God receives blessings of His people;
5:11     there shall they rehearse the righteous acts of the Lord, even the righteous acts toward the inhabitants of the villages in Israel; then shall the people of the Lord go down to the gates.     God's righteous acts declared towards His people;   God's people directed;
5:13     Then He made him that remaineth have a dominion over the nobles among the peopel;  the Lord made me have dominion over the mighty.   God made (2) him to have dominion over the enemy;
5:23     Curse ye Meroze, said the angel of the Lord, curse ye bitterly the inhabitants thereof:  because they came not to the help fo the Lord, to the help of the Lord against the mighty.    God's angel spoke and directed;  God's people did not help the cause of the Lord against the enemies of the Lord;
5:31     so let all Thine enemies perish, O Lord:  but let them that love Him as the sun when He goeth forth in His might.    God causes His enemies to perish;  God preserves and blesses His people that love Him;  God's might goes before them;
Chapter 6
6:1     And the children of Israel did evil in the sight of the Lord:  and the Lord delivered them into the hand of Midian seven years.     God sees and knows the evil that men do against Him;  God delivers them into the hand of captivity.
6:6     and the children of Israel cried unto the Lord    God hears the cry of His people;

6:14     And the Lord looked upon him and said, Go in this thy might and thou shalt save Irael from the hand of the Midianites have not I sent thee?   God looks;  God instructs him to go;  God sends him;

PRAYER BLOG - "THE SIN OF PRAYERLESSNESS" - Oct. 19; EPIDEMICS; & UPDATES

Greetings,

"Therefore it is come to pass, that as He cried, and they would not hear, so they cried, and I would not hear, saith the Lord of hosts."  Zechariah 7:13

What an awful verse!  Are we headed here due to our prayer lives?  I was never taught about the sin of prayerlessness, nor did I know of its existence.  But in that time period where God was dealing with me about my prayer life, I was reading Andrew Murray and found within was a sermon/chapter on 'The Sin of Prayerlessness."   Great conviction and great sorrow on learning of this high, priestly role of prayer among the church and for our Lord's kingdom and yet failing in it.   Yet, it was revealed that the sin of the church for 2000 years has largely been the neglect of the secret closet and of the church being a house of prayer.   Needless to say, the Spirit came upon me to turn around my prayer life and make it pleasing unto Him and to be used for Him and His kingdom.   Prayer is the means by which God impacts and influences this world and the events of it.  History is determined and set by prayers of the saints or the neglect of the prayers of the saints.

Now brethren, we are in a day, that I believe, most in the church knows this truth of the great need of prevailing prayer.   Prayers are offered continually by many false religions, they pray devoutly.   Many are guilty of simply having mental thoughts about people, circumstances and moments without ever truly addressing the Lord God in communication - these are just thoughts, not prayers.   Prayer is that Divine communication between God and man.   It is our great privilege to be a part of this; and not guilty of missing this.  Prevailing prayers is beyond simply 'mentioning' that subject, person, or event to the Lord, but rather wrestling over it with the motive, "I will not be denied".   Prevailing prayer is beyond 'saying prayers'.   And it has the needed traits commanded of praying saints - urgency, fervency and emergency.   Knowing what is at stake for eternity compels the soul to pray and to pray so as to prevail for the Lord's Name, kingdom and will.

And yet, when we have a discussion on the prayer life, there is much of conviction, and examination of our failure in this.   Yea, in our first Broken Before the Throne, came the confessions of many pastors of the sin of their prayerlessness that was recognized, some for the first time, and others knowing but never disciplining themselves to have a healthy, spiritual prayer life.   Many churches, and entities of the church recognize, 'we are not praying as we should.'   The personal confession - "I need to do better and become a man or woman of prayer."   Now that confession may have the slight of humanism, but it is still recognized that there is failure and the need to fulfill His will in prayer.

Now recently I have been given the opportunity to communicate among prayer leaders among SBC in discussions and plans to help in the prayer life of the SBC.   We came to the realization of the great sin of prayerlessness among every aspect of the church; except for the rmenant.  From the secret closet of the pastor and laymen, to the church, to states, to national entities; prayer was recognized as missing among them.  And yet, when these alarming numbers have been presented, they have all but been excused or passed over.   There is no great lamentation, no sorrow, no pleas for change or urgency of our great sin against our Lord's kingdom.    Complacency, acceptable, and continuous is the status of the prayer life.

"when evil comes in like a flood, God raises up a standard bearer' to pray to push back and stay the flood waters of evil.   The rise in evil in our nation and world is largely due to the lack of prevailing prayer among the church.   Prayers offered by most churches are largely 90% and higher of physical needs and wants;   all the while, less than 10% of prayer is given to the spiritual kingdom, souls and 'pushing back the tide of evil' - spiritual warfare.    This is the norm of the prayer life of the North American church.   We would rather pray for what we want, rather than for what God wants.   This is not acceptable in the oracles of God's throne.    This is not a sweet smelling savour in His nostrils of the incense of the golden censer offered with the prayers of the saints.   This is not the will of the Lord.

Where is the outcry for such a great sin as the sin of prayerlessness?  Why is the leadership not addressing this, warning of this?  Where is the 'take heed' sermons to the church on the prayer life of the individual and the corporate?   We cannot continue like this!   God will not allow it.   In 30 years of ministry, and especially the last 18 years of this century, we have seen the ramping up of great judgements against our nation, homes/families, streets and upon our very future.    I stand baffled that the leadership would know these truths and permit and allow its continuance.   And even if they disagree, where is the discussion on it?    so accepting of less than 15%  of churches having corporate prayer meetings and to allow over 85 % to not pray is sin.

do you understand that if leadership would seek to turn around the prayer life of the church and make 85% houses of prayer we would see revival; we would finish the task of the great commission; we would greatly obstruct and hinder the work of hell.   We would take back the ground we have forfeited to Satan.   But there must be a recognition of this sin, an ownership to it and a change immediately done.

Because leadership has neglected these facts and our reality, I am more prone now to see God removing our nation and the churches possibility when revival comes world wide. ( How the next revival will come and look like has been a discussion and thought process for me) I do believe world wide revival is coming; this is God's grace and mercy to the nations.  One more last reaping of souls, before one more last shaking of the nations .    A prominent preacher in America recently said, in explanation of why US not mentioned in bible end times, was that we would be raptured out.    what I see, is that God is going to judge our nation and especially the American church for our great sins, starting with the sin of prayerlessness.   For out of this sin, all others proceed and multiply.   God is going to remove our candlestick as He threatened Ephesus, Rev. 2.    Time has been given, opportunity of great judgements to shake us and call us back to Him, have all been but dismissed.  And now He called to us and we would not hear; now we will call to Him and He will not hear.  Woe unto us!

The Ugandan man shared with American Christians years ago, when there was great persecution and killings in his nation.  'We did not pray in desperation before the persecution and killings;   but when they started to butcher us, we prayed out of desperation.   If the American church does not learn to pray out of desperation now; you will learn to pray in desperation in times of catastrophe."   Why must we wait for this to be our epitaph!!

EPIDEMICS:
1.  Drugs;   NJ deaths have risen; but stats are revealing what I have told you, that OD deaths are lowering than last year.   I expect for this to continue.    Canada just legalized recreational drug use.   This is will be our future if there is not a prohibition on it.    Every where, every body, and among too many in church and out on drug addiction.    Death may lessen, but drug use is record highs.
2.  Cancer;   continued battles, surgeries,   Still holding with around a dozen lifting up in prayer as this goes forth.   Simply waiting for my time, or my family member to be the next.
3.  Great Evil - 1 NC police officer gunned down this week;  another murder-suicide near us here;   Crimean school shooting in Russia that killed 18 people;   "out of the heart proceeds these evils"   heart and minds evil affecting - herein is the prayer battle
4.  LGBT - planned parenthood; legislation;  overturning of judicial and legal edicts;  next generation all but consumed with acceptance of these evils;
5.   Children - sex trade - 'Do you hear that little 12 yr old girl, chained and drugged?   Used and abused?  crying out to a God, "does anybody care?  will this ever end?"   Praying the heart of God for HE sees and hears their cries.
6.   Natural Disasters - Hurricane Michael;  famine in Yemen - over 1 million to be impacted due to war;

Possible #7 EPIDEMIC coming:  plagues;  disease has always been rampant and occasional increases and scares;   But looking now at the most horrific possibilities that may take countless 1000's    recent headlines are pointing to pestilence;  I've shared about Congo and
--AFM in US  affecting children;  mystery cause having affected 100's;
--STD - due to the adultery, fornication, sexual perversion HIV and STD are hitting new strides of 'record' and 'historical' numbers;
--Ebola in Africa continues in Democratic Congo;
--continued food poisoning and loss of food in Salmonella and other diseases;

--The ACtivity of God - Joshua;   nearing the end, up through chapter 22;
--SErmoniindex Conference - Greg has uploaded sermons from conference;   no answers on why my sermon last 20 minutes was cut off;  their SD card shut off at 5, but the feed was supposed to record till I was done.   That's the reason you see, on youtube sermon 52 minutes, but I actually preached 75 - 80 minutes;

Untill,

PRAYER BLOG - OCTOBER 11

Greetings,

". . . and asked not counsel at the mouth of the Lord."

do you know this account?  Joshua and Israel were taking over the promised land.  God was for them, and helping them.  The Gibeonites knew that no one would defeat them, so they lied about who and where they were.   And they got Joshua and Israel to agree to peace.   Now God is omnipresent and omniscient.   In these two things the child of God can trust God that He knows the right choices, paths and life and He has gone before us to secure that.   Therefore when we  come to a verse like this one, it is foolish not to seek the Lord's counsel and know what He would have us to do.  It is found in the life of the Christian that they not forsake the Lord's will and way.    And if there is no counsel from the Lord, then wherein does the counsel come from?  Self or Satan?

David, when fighting the Philistines, stopped and sought the Lord of whether he was to go fight.   The first time he was allowed to go fight;  the second time, he had to wait till the wind blew through the mulberry trees.

When God was calling Saul to him, He used Ananias to go and direct him in his ways to the Lord.   And when God called Ananias, he replied, 'Lord, what would you have me to do?'   Asking counsel of the Lord is the asking of this question that Ananias asked.   And to be content and obedient to what the Lord says is every child of God's privilege and responsibility.

ARe you seeking the counsel of the Lord?   Are you hearing from Him?  Or are you guilty of not asking the counsel of the Lord?   We all may agree that we know we should seek and ask the counsel of the Lord.   But then why or how does one who knows that they should, not seek the counsel of the Lord.   Somewhere along the line they break away from the Lord.   They seek the counsel of men or of their of their own heart.   Now this is the sin of humanism.   And generally, you may find the answer to why and how in the secret prayer closet.    They stopped praying and having communion and fellowship with the Lord and the voice of the Lord stopped being heard and listened to.

When the counsel of the Lord is not asked nor sought, men will answer for themselves.   False prophets will say, 'the Lord told me'  but the Lord answers, 'I neither spoke to them nor revealed to them.  They make it up out of their own heart.'    When one comes before the Lord to ask counsel, he must be ready to stay until the answer is given.   When the remnant of Judah sent Jeremiah the prophet to ask counsel of the Lord, of whether to go down into Egypt, after ten days the Lord spoke.   but the people had already made up their minds, they was going to do what they was going to do.  And it was sin and evil unto the Lord.

The church is learning and practicing humanism at a rapid place.   Spouses, jobs, future, leaders are being sought out of the wisdom of men, rather than the asking counsel of the Lord.   and in these most important days, it is absolutely necessary to hear the word of the Lord.   May we get back to hearing the voice of the Lord and obeying it.   May we stay much with Him, til He speaks and then we know that we are found in the ways of the Lord rightly.   But may it not be said of us, we 'asked not counsel of the Lord.'

PRAYER TARGETS:
Epidemics:
1.   Drugs - deaths are lessening, I believe in great numbers;  However, use and acceptance in our nation is all but across the board.   Plans to fight drug addiction with drugs is all but sealed.   Legalizing and providing addiction will be norm.
2.   Cancer - great afflictions; more brothers & sisters in the church diagnosed and continued surgeries, treatments upon just about every family that I know.  Wide spread plague.
3.    Great Evil - school shootings; police officers shot and killed, street killings and murder-suicides have all very quiet;   Recent news reported man was building 200 pound bomb to set off on election day.   It makes you wonder, just how Satan is plaguing the minds and hearts with evil in such remote people and places.   Must always be vigilant and continue with this prayer of 'deliver them from evil'.   since there has been such a long absence, increase should be set to happen in near future, or for the remainder of this month.
4.    LGBT - battles have been won and lessened within courts;   But do not look at this as over.  The perversion, abominations and evil of this plague upon us is in the homes, minds and hearts of the majority as acceptable and the new norm.   This seed has been planted and will escalate into complete fruition in the near future of 10 years.   Only an act of God to purge and rid us of this evil is of any means of destroying this which is perverting our entire nation.
5.    Children - the perversion, abuse, neglect upon this next generation is as sad and horrible as ever recorded.   Such a high percentage, upwards of 80 - 90 % of all children have been sexually, physically abused and neglected.   Crimes, reports, headlines are continuous to remind us that one by one they have been taken and defiled.    A prayer to cover, deliver and protect is absolutely necessary.
6.   Natural Disasters - devastation of hurricanes has continued on east and south coast;  wildfires are all up under control now after months of 'record' setting.

Where are we?
Severe moments in these epidemics are always happening.  If not one, then another, to provoke us to understand of the severe judgements on us.   But despite these judgements, the church largely dismisses them.   Thus, there is no urgency to respond.   The understanding of our crisis and dilemma is all but removed from leadership.  Humanism is their choice, 'they will remedy it' and 'do ministry'.  Not realizing that Ichabod is upon us.  We are in sore travails right now.  Souls are at stake, crisis hour is upon lives and the church lumbering along as if its norm.   Therefore I fear that a greater calamity is near to shake us again.   We haven't responded; my pleas are all but rejected and dismissed as 'accusatory' or 'harsh'.   Sin and its judgement still remain and we are left to know that God is going to make us answer severely.

I believe in the quietness of these days from judgements, that there will be another major national calamity that will shake us.   It is God's desire that we recognize our plight and respond accordingly.  Moments of gathering by so many groups could easily do this.   However, their agenda presses priority rather than God's.   Great need to remind the church of how far we have fallen and what is required in confession, repentance and restoration of holiness upon God's house.   SBC has rejected the reality of our prayerlessness and thus it will continue and more than likely deepen.  But the worst of this is, that being prayerless, God cannot and will not respond in answered prayers, souls, revival etc.   Only does these things come, when God's people approach unto Him and stay.   and the one consolation is that there is a remnant doing it, but oh, how it needs to deepen.   We have pushed the 'longsuffering' attribute of God to the limit and are in serious danger of wrath.   Time is not a luxury but a urgent awareness of what's at stake for our future.

UPDATE:
--bible reading has started again;  up through Exodus 15;   simply finishing word studies of 'put'; 'all the "P" words;  and combinations of actions, for example - hear and see - H&S;  go and find - G&F;
--the Activity of God - Joshua;   up through chapter 12;
--A Word - none thus far in OCtober - not good at all;
--sermons from sunday are streamed live and then uploaded to youtube page;
--SErmonindex Conference was good;  many asked me what I thought, and I would answer, 'Its good, but its not great'.   meaning that the church was ready, the speakers brought a good word and the remnant was encouraged and blessed.  But not breakthroughs at that moment, which would have made it 'great'.   I'm always looking for the impact and shift in histroy because someone prevailed.  Heaven rejoiced and hell feared moments is what I consider great.
Greg is uploading the sessions and the individual speakers messages.
--Prayer Link met and did not use, nor consider, nor look at any of the work I did on 'Prayer Life of the SBC'; and "urgency' video.

Until,

EARTHQUAKES

Earthquakes

Recent earthquake in far east, causing deadly tsunami, killing 1000's.   Throughout Scripture we see the power of the earthquake used.   And God uses the earthquake as a force for judgement upon the nations.  'This creation groaneth until this day.'

the pattern of when these earthquakes are, or seem, to me in a pattern of when they happen.  I do believe they are consistent.

2000 - 2018 (Oct.)

289 - Total earthquakes over 7.0

20 - of these were 8.0;

1 - of these was 9.0;

Thus the average of earthquakes over 7.0 is 16 per year.
The average of 8.0 earthquakes is 1 per year.

Therefore in 2015 through most of 2017  there had not been any 8.0 or greater.   Revealing to us that we were due for an 8.0.

Now the thing about earthquakes is the place in which they hit.  We are talking about severity of 7.0 or greater.   but if a 9.0 hits in an unihabited area, there is not much of an issue.   but let that same earthquake hit in a populated area, now there is greater loss of life.

Three severe earthquakes have caused deadly tsunamis.
