PRAYER EMAIL - MAY 30

Greetings,
"Behold, My servants shall sing for joy of heart, but ye shall cry for sorrow of heart, and shall howl for vexation of spirit."   Isaiah 65:14

What a contrast!   The Lord's servants vs. those that are not His servants'.   This should hold us in meditation on this contrast.  Too many will simply focus on the first part for the 'singing out of joy of heart'.  But God is always contrast - light & darkness; above/beneath; within/without; Alpha/Omega.  We choose what we want, rather than what He has revealed about Himself and His ways.  And herein is His ways.  To his children, we have this blessing and we rejoice in this.  But many will stop there, for they do not want to deal with the next revelation.  Many have talked and shared about singing and joy of heart.  But not many speak on the wicked and what they experience and shall experience.

Contrast:  in heaven there will be no sorrow or vexation and there will be that abundant joy that only comes in Christ;  but in hell there is weeping,wailing and gnashing of teeth, for there is no joy there.   Cries and howls shall fill eternity, oh, woe is that place that too many of humanity is going therein!   Should this not stir His church up to fight for the salvation of souls?   Should we not be filled in our minds and hearts with the pangs of hell to stir ourselves up to be about our Lord's business.   These are things to fill our thoughts and meditations with and to fill our prayer times with such things.

some will say, such thoughts will rob me of that joy in my heart.  How can one think upon the mercy and grace of God, to deliver such as I, 'the chief of sinners'; and ever lose my singing from the joy in my heart?    Too many mercies, to much amazing grace, to many testimonies of His saving power to erode or vanquish joy in our hearts.    This is the balance of contrast, never lop-sided; never one or the other; but two halves that make whole -- just as God has declared of Himself.   Why is this so hard to maintain and understand among the body of Christ?

Now allow me the pointed message for our day in this contrast. . .  and what a contrast it is for our nation.   A nation eroding, filled with desolation and destruction and nothing on the horizon for hope, except God.   For a wicked, evil nation filled with every abomination that God hates, and all the while expecting all of God's love.  "It don't work that way".   For to do the things that God hates, is to invoke His wrath and anger, not His love.    And to receive His love is to do the things that He delights in and to keep HIs commandments.   'If you love Me, you will keep My commandments.'    But it seems the church and the nation have it in reverse, they expect God to favor them, when they have done things that are ill-favoured towards Him.

Note the cries of sorrow from the hearts and the howls for vexation of spirit all across our land today.  In the cities, in the homes, on the streets, and in the hearts and minds of men.  They are evil affected; 'given over to reprobate minds'.  And the absence of God is the reason of it all.  Having made an active choice to remove God, to forget God,now reap what you sow.   All the EPIDEMICS, the corona virus, the shootings, the riots all happening and hear and see the cries and the howls of the wicked.  Where is the cry of the church?  Why is it only a cry of remove us from this tragedy Lord?  Why is it not a cry of absolute need for God to intervene? to confess our gross abominations with cries and hows for how far we have fallen?   Because its still about us - humanism, pride, self, is still god in the church.

I warned that we failed over the last 2 months to make the wrongs right.  No advance during these days by church and prayer leaders to combat the sins & abominations that caused all this.  And that God is not done judging us; now the riots come upon us.  An upheaval of our nation, in our cities over the issues that have never been dealt with, simply swept under a rug.   Now is God done? Absolutely, not.  Get ready in June for the next wave of judgements.    It may be greater anarchy, natural disasters, it may be another round of virus, it may be economic crisis; but until we keep bringing the issues, the fruits of these deeds, rather than the seeds that planted all these judgements, I fear nothing will ever be fixed.

And I hear whispers, 'don't pray for this people any more'. . .

PRAYER TARGETS:
EPIDEMICS -
1.  Drugs/Alcohol - continued deaths, damage and destruction of homes, lives and society;  pray for Deliverer to deliver and destroy this evil on men and our society;

2.  Natural Disasters - still no 7 or 8 earthquake;  continued due for one or both;  was watching Japan region;  tropical storms already hitting US;  if newest storm is named, first time since 1951 that 3 storms named before season begins;

3.  LGBT - continued fight and advancement in society, homes and minds and hearts of men to accept abomination;

4.  Children - cases of abuse down, as out of school and no one to report or treat abuse at homes;  dangerous calamity of being in homes with no safety, supervision or support;

5.  Plagues - corona virus - world deaths over 350,000; US over 100,000; continues;   new trends in this virus impacting children;  unforeseen what shall be with this and other rounds;  Dengue fever is moving world wide as much as corona;   cancers, other afflictions;

6.   Great Evil - homicides/suicides/murder-suicides - numbers are escalating;  for May, murder-suicides may for the first time double in a month.  for a long time it was several per month; then 1 per day, and for a long time it held at 1 and 1/2 per day;

All of these 6 EPIDEMICS that I have pointed out are judgements against our nation, homes and hearts.   due to the failure of the church to respond to these judgements, we are closer to final judgement as a nation.   I believe we are actually at another cross roads of revival or judgement, or somehow one in the same.   But no doubt, our days of Josiah shall be short lived before God's wrath is poured out on us and the nations to finish end times.  It's that close folks!

PRAYER EMAIL - 5/11; HOW WILL YOU GO BACK TO CHURCH

Greetings,
"Our holy and beautiful house, where our fathers praised Thee, is burned up with fire; and all our pleasant things are laid waste."  Isaiah 64:11

These closing verses of chapter 64 are a reflection to what has happened to Jerusalem and to Judah by the Babylonians.   The city was destroyed; the walls were thrown down and the temple was burned and destroyed to ruin.   The people had been slain by the sword, taken into captivity or died by the famine and the plague.   All of these things came upon them because they would not obey nor hearken unto the voice of the Lord.  He, being merciful, sent His prophets, rising up and sending them time and time again to warn them to repent lest these very things come upon them.   And come upon them they did, because they would not serve nor hearken to the Lord God.

Now our churches have not been razed to the ground; as we see Chinese officials during these days, destroying many church homes, and places of worship.   Our churches have not been burned up, like we see happening in Nigeria by the Islamic radicals.   But the physical destruction of Christian churches is one thing, but spiritually destroying them is far worse.   Our places of worship, as we have been accustomed to here in North America, have been shut, due to the plague upon the world.   For weeks, no gathering, no services where the church physically gathers themselves together.   Only via live stream services and zoom meetings.    But now, the time is upon us that many are already opening their doors, and many are planning on starting back up physical worship in Christian churches.

May I Warn You Before You Begin Again!   That these places of Christian fellowship where we gather, that used to be holiness unto the Lord.  Where our fathers praised the Lord God with the old hymns, great preaching, labors of prayer and good fellowship and discipleship are now unholy and very carnal.   God has shut the doors of the church for a reason.  And we are to cleanse ourselves and our churches before we begin again.   The Scripture warns of this, 'Let judgement begin at the house of God'.   For if we do not give heed to this warning, 'the last phrase of this verse may become our testimony, and 'they were burnt up and all that was pleasant to them was left waste.'

Upon returning to physical gathering and worship we should restore that which we have lost.  The first priority is holiness.  A mandate to hear the command of our Lord, 'Be ye holy; for I am holy'.  We must seek to become like our Lord.  For some reason and some way, that priority and pursuit over these last years, yea decades, has been lost.  It is almost foreign to too many pastors and churches.  We are satisfied with carnality, flesh and worldliness in the church, on the stage, in the pulpits and a part of our Christian witness.  It is wicked and perverse to see and hear of some of the things that go on in the pulpits and on the stages of our churches.  These things, 'ought not to be named among us.'  But what should be sought and found among us is services, music and prayer that returns to see His glory and long for His holiness to be upon us in the fullness of His Spirit; this should be our agenda.

One of the things that has led us away from holiness is the two sins of humanism and pragmatism.  Both of these have worked hand in hand to seek 'to do church' without God.   Religious in their appearance; laced with some Bible truth; but never ordained nor sanctioned by God to be implemented.   But because they got higher stats, larger numbers, we took it for God's blessing; rather than understanding that we was being led away from holiness.   We were taking a cheap route that was not about God's glory or ways, but in our vanity it was all about our pride.  Satan seduced us to these sins and in that moment we lost the power of God and the Presence of God.

These "-isms" are notoriously implemented in new church works today.   And far worse, it is done in the ways of evangelism. Are people being saved; yes.  Are prayers being answered; yes.  Is there growth in new churches; yes.   But are they being saved and growing as fast as they could be if we was endued with power from on high?   Oh, brethren, if we would wait upon the Lord; cast off our carnal humanism; seek Him with our whole hearts; continue to pray with fervency and urgency; we would see mighty things from God.   We would see the spiritual awakening and perhaps, God may grace us with revival.   But so long as we continue, as is, which we was doing before; we grieve and limit the Holy Ghost from our midst.   We cannot do the things of God, without the Spirit of God.

It is time to rebuke these ways, denounce them and abhor them.  It is time to return the House of God to holiness.  It is time to return the church to a house of prayer.  It is time to return the pulpit to 'thus saith the Lord.'   It is time to lead men to regeneration as the Scriptures clearly teach.  It is time to lead them to confession and repentance from sin, self and world.  It is time to instruct them in dying to self and living in Christ daily.   We must return to New Testament Christianity.   It is time to return to how our fathers praised Him and worshipped Him spirit and in truth.   Cast off these ungodly ways; come out from among them and be ye separate; and be ye holy.

This may be, and many are sounding this, our last Divine invitation to clean our houses of worship, our homes, our hearts, and our hands.   and if we do not heed the warning given at this Divine moment in history.   God will remove our candlestick; and He will raise up another one that will 'finish the task'.   I want to be  apart of this time in history of being that generation that finished the task.  Sought the Lord; found the Lord and was filled with the Lord.  But these things cannot happen so long as humanism and pragmatism is embraced and allowed in the SBC, in the churches, in the pulpits, and in our service to Him.

The hour is late; the need is great; pray so as to prevail.

PRAYER TARGETS:
EPIDEMICS:

PRAYER EMAIL - NATIONAL DAY OF PRAYER - 2020

Greetings,
"And when the morning arose, then the angels hastened Lord, saying, Arise, take thy wife, and thy two daughters, which are her; lest thou be consume in the iniquity of the city.   And while he lingered. . . Escape for thy life. . lest thou be consumed."   Genesis 19: 15 - 17

"Flee from the wrath to come" was the message given to Lot and for his family.  "Get out of here lest you and your family be consumed", was the message.  And for a good part of a day, that message that he had been given was rejected.   I have no idea, and Scripture does not tell us, but he was busy about other things.   But the urgency of the matter was expressed in this phrase for our consideration today - "And while he lingered. . . ".   Why, if you knew destruction was coming, would you linger?   Why would you delay?  And yet that is what he did.

The positioning for the church today is very similar.   For over a decade, the Lord was calling to church and prayer leaders, to pastors and churches, 'Return to Me, Pray so as to prevail".   Yet, they lingered.   Remedial judgements were falling upon the nation, upon the church, upon homes and families; warnings from me and others were given,  yet the response was, 'And while they lingered'.    Increase of evil; legalizing of abominations; horrible headlines and lifestyles and choices; fewer baptisms; huge percentage of people out of church, leaving Christianity as a minority group of less than 10% of US population;  and knowing all this, what did we do - 'And while they lingered'.

And now death, destruction and desolation is upon the land, in the homes, in the minds and hearts of men, is it a time to linger?   The shut down and the plague have stirred some response; but in general, 'we still are lingering'.   Yes, the remnant is stirring, pursuing; but as always my question, 'Are we prevailing?'    Too often the confession from the pulpits, pastors and church leaders, 'my prayer times are not what they should be'.   The expression of many within the church, 'I have no prayer time.'   Why would you linger?   The very fate of all is at stake; why will you linger?

The greatest "WOE" upon the church today is to hear the message 'lest you be consumed'; 'flee from the wrath to come' and still linger as if all was well.   Souls are perishing; time is being lost; momentum is being squandered; opportunity is being past over; and priorities are being skewed away from that one thing which is most needful - PRAYER!    While we linger. . . do we not know what this is costing us?  do we not hear the command come forth?   are we content to justify our prayer times as sufficient and more than enough for what we are facing?   Consider the urgency of the hour!

IT is needful for us to confess our sin of 'lingering' while men perished; while hell advanced; and while nations forsook God - we lingered.   We linger while addictions rampage; murder is filling our streets and land with blood; and lasciviousness is growing by leaps and bounds upon the nation.   We knew all this, yet we lingered.   And at judgement day will we not wail and sorrow when the reality that we could have done something, we could have rescued them; we could have prevailed against hell -- had we not lingered.   Then while we sit and simply 'consider it';   or simply make a empty handed resolve, 'I'm going to try and do better'.  When we are far beyond empty statements; it is time to arise and being doing.   It is time to engage; it is time to quit lingering.

Needed:
--protracted meetings;  extended beyond the usually moments of prayer, to hours and nights of prayer;
--we did 'A Call for a Solemn Assembly' with outline and brief impact for what the Lord was speaking to me that needed to be addressed;   Plans are in the works for one this fall; yet, lingering and delaying is frightful to me.   Absolute immediate need for day(S) to deal with our sins, instruction to return; and wait upon Him in time before Him prostrate and humble.   Proper time must be given to deal with these things.   I fear for what I see moving in our land, men will linger in their response.
--realization of where we are and what the Lord is saying;  I still marvel that church leaders are asking 'what do you sense form the Lord'?   The Lord in His Word has already spoken on these days.   A life of holiness; cause them to know their abominations; and pray with the spirit of earnestness and fervency for whats at stake - What's at stake?  Eternity.
--dogmatic approach to embrace the Lord and wait upon Him;

Brethren, the house is late, the need is great; pray so as to prevail.   And may I add to my "Dan-ism"; "pray so as to prevail - do not linger my beloved."

PRAYER TARGETS:
EPIDEMICS
1.  Drugs/Alcohol -

2.  LGBT - continued Abomination pushed, supported and promoted;  Dwayne Wades child and news reports of how they support their transgender child;  I weep over this so much.  They think they are doing right, and are only helping this child towards its own demise.  Suicide by 30 years old.   Anderson Cooper, CNN news man, adopted child with homosexual partner, raising a child in abomination.   Media loves it; church is silent on it; God hates it!

3.  Great Evil - homicides; suicides; murder-suicides - we crossed 200 for the year in murder-suicides;

4.  Natural Disasters - raging wildfires in FL; record cold temps in North East; earthquakes are moderate around 80; did have close to 7.0 this week in Indonesia of 6.8;   due for 7.0 and 8.0 soon; much activity in western South America, Chile; and in the Caribbean;

5.  Children - we see and hear the reports during the lockdown of huge numbers of children being abused physically and sexually;  children still being sold into sex trade; lives ruined, neglected and shattered;  Never what the Lord intended.  Much to answer for in this evil world.

6.  Plagues - corona virus - over 250,000 dead in 2 months worldwide;  US over 70,000;

UPDATES:

PRAYER EMAIL - PLEASE, DON'T GO BACK TO CHURCH, THE WAY WE LEFT CHURCH

Greetings,
"And he fell to the earth, and heard a voice saying unto him, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou Me?  And he said, Who art Thou, Lord?  And the Lord said, I am Jesus Whom thou persecutest:  it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks.  And he trembling and astonished said, Lord, what wilt Thou have me to do?"   Acts 9:4 - 6

For over a month, the church services physically gathering together have largely stopped.  The world wide virus has restricted gatherings by the church in person and most have converted to live streams and the internet.   And for this past month, it has presented the church that which it needed most, 'Be still, and know that I am God.'   It was the opportunity to hear from God and understand what was going on, and why this was happening.  It was for the church and especially its leadership to understand that the way church, largely in North America, had been doing church was not pleasing to the Lord.   Not pleasing to Him because we had largely departed from the Scriptures and the ways of God, He had taught us in the Scriptures.  It was a stoppage  by God, for His church to correct itself.  And now for many, at the beginning of May, they are set to slowly resume church gatherings.

Many have not sought answers to the questions above.  Many have not heard the voice of the Lord, 'it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks.'   And fewer have heard Him, and responded as Paul, 'and he trembling and astonished said, Lord, what wilt Thou have me to do?"    It is not a time to simply resume.   The Lord hated what church has become and what we were doing.  And our failure to correct now, will only invite a worse judgement on the church and on the nation.  Our way of Christianity in America is built upon two things God hates:  1.  humanism;  2.  pragmatism.

The sin of humanism  - we converted the phrase of " I can do all things through Christ Jesus" to "I can do all things".  With all our ingenuity and plans;  Or as I call it, the 3 "M's" - 'methods, means and madness; we have assumed we can do church.  And somewhere with all these plans, and services, and ministries, we have forgotten the New Testament message, 'apart from Me, you can do nothing.'   Oh, how we need the Lord to come again and rule in power and Presence.  This is the reason that I plead with you, I beg of you, DO NOT GO BACK TO CHURCH, AS WE LEFT IT!

The sin of pragmatism - humanism evolved this concept, that it became about vanity; it became about success.  Numbers, stats, became a driving force for 'anointed' ones and methods.   If it was successful in getting the numbers up, then surely God must be blessing it, was their frame of thinking.   Not caring if it was of God, or consistent with His Word; and only caring for the sake of self, and stats is a root sin of pride and vanity.   Methods and means are not determined by successful numbers, but by Spirit filled believers.   Pragmatism is driving our churches and  denomination rather than 'are we pleasing to You, O Lord'.

There are biblical issues within the pulpits and the churches today that need to be corrected.  We need to go back and find the God we lost in our fast pace of stats, numbers, and promotion.   We need God to do church and ministry.  We need God to remove from us the ways we have incorporated in the sanctuaries and replace them with Him alone.  A biblical message; a simpler worship format; and a humble approach to God.

Biblical Message - the message of the church is no longer 'thus saith the Lord'; it is now, 'thus saith the Lord. . .and here is what I think. . . "   We just need God's Word.   This word from the Lord is to address the abominations of our land.  This word is to address the spiritual disciplines of the body.   This word is to address the saving of souls.   Our invitations and calls for men to 'accept Christ' have so far departed from the Scriptures, that you can longer discern what men are being saved TO, and what men are being saved FROM.    SAVED TO Christ Jesus with all our hearts, minds, souls and body;  SAVED FROM sin of self, world and Satan.      Oh, brethren, give much place to  "know the Word of God, and know the God of the Word."

Worship Format - worship has been turned into the primary focus of services;  It has escalated to the entertainment of the people, rather than the worship of God.   The lines are blurred with music, genres, styles that put more focus on entertainment, cause the people to be at ease, rather than draw us before the throne of God.  We sing about Him, but rarely do we sing to Him.   Worship is about God and God alone.  It is done through thanksgiving, blessing Him, honoring Him, glorifying Him and adoring Him.   This should be done through the Word, through song and through prayer.   the increase of entertainment time, makes it about the performers and about the congregation to be entertained in ease.    This is humanism; for it is designed to satisfy and please self, rather than to please God.    Worship format must be simplified to return to God.

Humble - How often over this last month have I heard II Chronicles 7:14.   And most of which, has come from spiritual leaders and prayer leaders seeking for God to do what He promised to do in that verse - hear, forgive and heal.    All the while quoting the verses, the focus is on God's response, and not our response.   Our response is humble, prayer, seek and turn from our wicked ways.   In the midst of a nation and a church attitude, we are too proud.   We have not been humbled in this month.   We are still defiant, 'we' is pronounced and spoken.  Rather than, 'without You, O God, we can do nothing."    there must be a humbling of our minds and hearts before Him.   There must be a desperate need for God, like never before.

And what comes next. . .
If we return to church and worship and preaching, like we left it and have not heard His rebuke, then this stoppage of time for the world, our nation and the church will have been all for nought.   God does not do things for no purpose, it is always for His glory.  Its not about us, its about Him.   And He has spoken, He has withdrawn Himself for years from us.   It is evident and as real as we can get.  The evidence is in our last 20 years, the first 20 of this new century.  Look at it and consider:
--evil has multiplied and increased 4x;
--good is called evil; and evil is called good;
--God's remedial judgements have increased to EPIDEMICS;
--death has filled our land;
--prayer meetings and prayer has largely been diminished;  God's house is not a house of prayer.
--baptisms decreasing;
--holiness is not a priority among the body of Christ, happiness is;

And my greatest lamenting over this; it happened on my watch! on your watch brethren!  OH, we will have much to answer for.  How I plead with you to give time and place to God.
If these are not signs of our times and our 'kicking against the pricks', I don't know what is.   I implore do not go back to church the way we left it!

SUGGESTED RESPONSES IN OUR RETURN TO CHURCH:
1.  Humble - knees bowed, if not prostrate on the church floors of thank God for allowing us to return;  thankful and humble before Him, that He has not consumed us;   that He has not removed our candlestick;   that He has extended grace and mercy to we, who are so unworthy of either;

2.  Prayer - to restore prayer as a major priority;  to make the house of God, a house of prayer;  to increase our secret closet times;  to increase our corporate times;  Remember, the stat of our over 45,000 churches -- 85% of churches did not have 1 hour of corporate prayer during a months time;  only 15 % prayed corporately at least  1 time per month;   This has to change!

3.  Preach the Word - if there was ever a time, now is the time to preach the Word;  it is an out of season, but it is still time to preach 'thus saith the Lord';   Tell people the truth of our situation and Who God is and what God has done and what God is going to do!  And if you don't know; then sit down until you do know the Word of God!

4.  Finish the Task - within out life time, we must finish the task of reaching the world;  If any thing this plague has shown us, it is that we are at the end of times.   souls are perishing and with all our talents, money, technology and resources of people, there is no reason why we have not reached the world.   One goal - if there is estimated to be 7.8 billion on the planet; and 1 billion are under the age of accountability, children; and 1 billion are Christians, that means every person in Christ must tell 5 people about Christ and eternity.   That does not seem like a lot.   But all 1 billion must do it, that is the catch.

All of this is absolute dependent on one thing, 'ye must be endued with power from on High'.   'Be filled with the Holy Ghost'; it is absolutely dependent on it being the work of the Holy Spirit and not of us.   May we keep our hands and fingers off the things of God.  Don't touch the ark!    Holy Ghost, come do, what only You can do and God be glorified to the ends of the earth.   Blessed be the Name above all Names, the Names of Jesus.

Coming up. . .

There are 3 events within the first week of May:
1.  May 1 - was a prayer initiative to have a World Day of Prayer for 1 billion souls to be reached;
2.  May 5 - Prayer on the Mountain in NC;  over 100,000 signed up to pray and fast for spiritual awakening;
3.  May 7 - National Day of Prayer - hosts of gatherings and opportunities;

And this, coming off our last weekend of 'A Call for a Solemn Assembly' should put us before the Lord in urgency and desperation.   If we do not see a major rekindling of fire from above in the month of May; then know 'its because we are still kicking against the pricks'.  We are returning to church without fixing whats wrong.    Take heed, brethren.   I fear for what may come next if we 'are disobedient to the heavenly calling.'

Until,
Dan
