Greetings,
"But what? even now." I Kings 14:14
Jeroboam's wife had been sent by the king to go to the prophet to find help for their sick son. But the prophet declared the whole counsel of God to the destruction of Jeroboam and all his house. And the prophet told the wife, the time of this destruction, 'But what? even now".
It has been 7 years since the last corporate Broken Before the Throne. At the end of those years of doing BBtT, God gave me "Seven Levels of Judgement" which I preached and taught on the 7 areas of God's judgement. Now 7 years later, those warnings, have come to full term and are raging epidemics on our society. Pushing us now to the extinction of our nation and future. We are self-destructing; 'But what? even now"
The church's sins, national sins and personal sin are all responsible for pushing us to this place. The sin that does so easily beset us has fulfilled the prophetic word, 'what you sow, is what you reap'. The wages of sin is death; and we are reaping death in the worst ways. But we also know the remedy to this, found alone in Christ Jesus and the Holy Trinity. And He issues the immediate call to 'come unto Me" But what? even now.
Why would they not listen? why would they not hear the word of the Lord? Is it because they simply couldn't? Or is it because God hardened their hearts and deafened their ears? These things I know not. I believe and lean toward the example of Manasseh in II Chronicles. That despite the revival and restoration of Josiah, God still said, 'for the sins of Manasseh, and the shedding of blood that he had done, I will bring judgement upon the land." Manasseh was dead and buried for decades, but still for the blood shed God was going to destroy them and remove them. And I cannot but think, that for 1973, God is going to destroy us. Even if Kavanugh is selected and Roe, vs. Wade is reversed, how do you undo 60 million babies blood on our land? "But what? even now"
God sending us warnings, judgements, remedial judgements, prophets, great preachers in days gone by. 'God was faithful rising up early and sending His prophets' but we would not hear. We would not die to sin and self. And now, the voice of the prophet is all but quiet. Massive amount of teachers, speakers, but where are the Gospel preachers, the prophets? Everybody's got an illustration, an outline, an editorial comment, a hashtag, but where is the unction from above on a man of God that says, 'Thus saith the Lord'. Will God send us another Tozer, Havner, Ravenhill? 'But what? even now"
What of revival? A hope is found in this prayer, pleading and talk on the subject. A great move of prayer is happening in many place and groups. Yet, revival has not come yet. The one great hope is for the Lord to come in His Presence. But I believe it will be a revival unlike the Great Awakenings. I believe it will be different than the Hebrides. I see a two-edged sword of revival and judgement. I believe it was J. Edwin Orr that said, 'revival is like judgement day'. And I believe that to be so that God will refine, empower and further the Gospel to complete His purpose and task of reaching the nations. But the wicked and lost will not surrender to it, but harden against it. It remains to be seen, and the remnant is seeking for it. "But what? even now."
And while we wait for revival, and prayer continues to be offered by the remnant; what of the rest of the nation and the church? The wicked and sinner continues to do greater exploits of sin, iniquity and abominations. The church continues to become more like the world, more carnal and more unholy. Pushing us to a point of no return when God says, 'let judgement begin at the house of God'. 'But what? even now."
PRAYER TARGETS
I don't even see the need to list out the prayer targets any more. The prayer lists, concerns are at this point of epidemics and prayer should be to seek mercy from the Lord, not the prayer point/target.
Here are the 6 Epidemics on us:
1. Drugs;
2. Cancer;
3. Great Evil of Murder - police officers in July saw 8 shot and killed, record stat; murder-suicides, 3 in the last 2 weeks; homicides - Chicago saw almost 2 people killed per day in the month of July, approached 600 killed; suicides - continued increase numbers;
4. LGBT agenda; church is embracing it, families are accepting it, society is ok with it; God is angry and furious against it; 'evil is now called good; and good is now called evil' Woe unto us!
5. Children Abuse & Neglect; way too many physical, emotional, mental abuse by those in authority for decades; continued sex slavery abounds in our society; What child has been raised in the last 10 years without being deprived of innocence and being naive? These things have been stolen from them.
6. Natural Disasters: wildfires rage in the West right now; 100,000 of acres burned; loss of life; death and destruction; flooding in the east; we are due for 8.0 earthquake; and/or 7.0; The thing with earthquakes, again, is if they happen in remote areas, no one cares. But if they hit a populated area, much death and destruction is found.
These are the 6 that the Lord has revealed to me. We have warned, taught and prayed against all of these for years. But now, 'evil has come in like a flood' and it is destroying us. Most church leaders and prayer leaders have not listened, nor sought the urgency of the hour for what we are facing and going through. They have ears to hear, but they have not heard. They have not responded. And here we are, facing extinction. "But what? even now."
