Greetings,
"Blow the trumpet in Zion, sanctify a fast, call a solemn assembly: Gather the people, sanctify the congregation, assemble the elders, gather the children. . . Let the priests, the ministers of the Lord, weep between the porch and the altar, and let them say, Spare Thy people, O Lord" Joel 2:15 - 17
A true Solemn Assembly would be called for by government and spiritual leaders across the nation to gather together and pray before the Lord. This gathering would be an instruction of the Word of God teaching us what God is pleased with, and what He is not pleased with. It would teach us those things that are vile and offensive to Him. There would be confession and repentance before the Lord with great sorrow and anguish over what we have done; and what we have become as a nation and as His church. The Scripture of Joel 1 & 2, sets the priority of much woe upon those that understand why the judgements of God are falling on the people and the land.
Their response from understanding the Word of God and the ways of God, causes them to respond with great woes; great sorrow, lamentations, weeping, mourning and tears. Have you seen this from leaders? Have you heard this from the church? Most of what I have heard is, 'Lord, let this pass; heal all the sick". And if read into the motive, it seems something like this: "So we can get back to our way of living. So we can get back to our god of - Self and sin." The understanding of the spiritual leaders needs to sound forth to answer the questions:
What is happening?
Why is this happening?
What are we to do?
If the church does not answer these questions, be certain that some carnal professional will. And it will not be truth, but filled with half-truths and whole lies, to keep the people from doing what they are supposed to do, 'Return to the Lord with their whole hearts". This is a Divine moment in history, and anything short of returning to holiness, restoring our obedience and finishing the task of His kingdom, we will have missed this moment.
1. What is happening? God has long sought for the US and the church to surrender to Him wholly. There have been times of Divine moments in the past that have led us to Him, But we have not fully surrendered and obeyed Him. And in that time period, over the decades we have fallen further and further away from Him. God sends remedial judgements to warn us of our folly. If we learn from these moments, the judgements cease; if we don't they increase. We have seen over the last first 20 years of this new century the remedial judgement increase to EPIDEMICS. And now with the cup of wrath full it is overflowing through this world wide corona virus of death. God is judging us. His wrath, anger and fury is raging against His creation that have forsaken Him and forgotten Him. And now in the midst of this world stoppage of living, God is awaiting for us to respond to Him rightly.
2. Why is this happening? We have legalized, allowed, compromised, and increased in our waywardness away from God. We have lost and forgotten the way toward holiness, righteousness and faithfulness to God. It may be understandable that the lost sinners of the nation do so, but how could the church, the people of God ever do so? This is not acceptable by God. And in His judgement of sending pestilence, He is speaking and calling for us to repent of our wicked ways and restore our worship of Him. It is our Isaiah 59:1,2, 'our iniquities and sins have separated us from Him". Therefore, 'cause them to know their abominations".
3. What are we to do? Obey the Word of the Lord. As we see the directives given in Joel 1 & 2 and other passages of Scripture, it is clear of what God is commanding us to do.
--Call them to come together;
---Set the time, place and venue to gather to hear of these things;
--Present the Word of God, for Who He is; wherein our sins lie; and time to confess and repent and renew our vows to Him;
This is a preparatory stage of simply 'Calling for a Solemn Assembly". This is why I say it is not an actual Solemn Assembly. Perhaps later this summer or fall, this will happen. But this is to cause us to know God; know our abominations and know what He requires of us.
Now to answer some direct questions on this:
How is this happening
Due to the limitation of gathering physically, we have and are finishing up the set up via live stream, through social media outlets on Facebook and Youtube. You are being asked to promote those web browser addresses and share the location.
Purpose of this Call
there is such a lack of knowledge of God, His Word and His ways and will. This is set up to accomplish that: - to know God; - to know what our abominations are; - and to know what God require of us; To be led individually, corporately for the sake of knowing what God has said, and desires of us.
What is the desired end
It is my hearts desire to see a restored, holy, renewed, revived church. It is to see the Manifest Presence of God come down. It is to see a flood from the church scouring through the nation impacting the lost sinners and the false religious ones to be converted and born again. It is to see the nation put away all their abominations and declare the truth, There is One Lord God; God the Father, God the Son, Jesus Christ and God the Holy Spirit and He and He alone will we serve and love and obey.
What is being asked of you
Pray - Promote - Participate
Pray - set these details before you daily; preferably 3 times a day to lift up and pray for the two days; pray for the speakers; pray for the churches response; pray for the tech side of this with no complications; pray for the Lord to be intreated with us; pray for a right response to follow; pray for one another; pray for the church; pray for the nation(s);
Promote - take the promotional materials and send out to any and all of family, friends, and church brothers and sisters in Christ; Promote in your ministries;
Participate - in this day of isolation and all the other distractions of social media, streaming, etc. there is to much of floating through such moments; In other words, get on, listen for a second and then move on and check back later. We are asking of you to commit to get on and stay on throughout for the leading of the Holy Ghost upon us. Hit and miss is not an acceptable formula for us.
