Letter of Invite to SBC

Greetings,
'A Call for a Solemn Assembly'
Last year,  we came to many of you requesting for state executives, prayer leaders, associational leaders and pastors and churches to embrace and employ Concerts of Prayer.  This was a call to fast on the 1st Tuesday of each month and then have corporate hour of prayer within that first full week of the month.  How we rejoiced for those that signed on, and much more to those that were already engaged in fasting and prayer across our beloved SBC.

Little did we know that that call was preparing for the crisis we are in now.  And how much more is God calling us to draw near to Him and make all right before Him for the sake of our nation(s) and the state of the church.   It is during these historic days that venues are changing, but the priorities are still the same.

On April 25 - 26, 2020, we are live streaming 'A Call for a Solemn Assembly'.   These two days of gathering, praying and hearing the Word of the Lord will give us time to come together to answer the questions:
--What is going on?
--Why is this happening?
--What is coming next?

I am once again, coming to you to implore you to join us for this time of prayer.  What comes on the other side of this plague is ever so needful for the church to be ready, obedient and urgent for our Lord's kingdom.   The focus of these prayer times are 3 fold:
1.  Worship - to know God;
2.  Confession - cause them to know their abominations;
3.  Petition/Supplication/Intercession - pleadings for nation & church & His kingdom will to be done;

Date:  April 25 - 26, 2020
Time(s):  Saturday - 9 AM (EST) -9 PM (EST);
                Sunday - morning session we are asking participants to worship with their own church families via live stream;   We will resume at 1 PM (EST) - 9 PM (EST);

Facebook page, 'A Call for a Solemn Assembly' & Sermonindex will be live streaming to join in and share with your church family & friends.    We are hopeful that other ministries will be joining us in the days ahead for this needful hour.

Until,
Dan Biser
