Greetings,
The following is a list of concerns written out to incorporate into prayer times due to the nature of our current estate as a nation and the state of the church. It is my fear that the continued trend of events unfolding in our nation, so far in the 8 months of this year is leading to the eradication of our population and future generations. At least thought and consideration should be given to these things to chew on and allow for the Lord to speak and work within us.
1. Drugs - they are continuing as a nation to legalize 'street' drugs; generally accepted and approved by most of society; addictions and participation by the population is high percentage and continues to be accepted and approved as a norm for our society; the drug culture just a few decades ago was abhorred and shunned, now it is embraced.
--generally it is all inclusive of participation and support from top to bottom; in every aspect of society it is found, accepted and permitted;
--with the increase of use and participation has also come a higher rate of overdoses; record number setting this year; deaths have come along side this number and matching record numbers of death from drug use;
--one of the unforseen problems of these drug overdose deaths is that there are young mothers dying and leaving children; Foster care is seeing record numbers because of the deaths as well as the incarceration of these participants.
--death and physical/mental problems from drug use continues and we have not seen the full affect on our society or future; It is a huge part of the removal of a portion from our population. These without a knowledge or surrender to the Lord leave this world in death and find hell as their home. This is in the church and out of the church.
2. Abortion continues to be the great sin of our nation for less than 50 years. We kill, murder the unborn child in the mothers womb. We slay these that God gave life. God will require their innocent blood at our hands.
--estimates since 1973 Roe vs. Wade is at over 60 million deaths; This is an entire generation removed from our nation and future.
--blood that has to be answered for, and God's wrath will meet us in this great sin.
--And although reports are that abortions are declining, it is only because contraception has increased. The sin of adultery and fornication has only increased in multiple ways in our society. This again is in the church and out of the church. God will remove the population by answer blood for blood, just like He did due to Manasseh's blood shed in Jerusalem.
3. Death by murder - killing and being killed has become an heightened increase in our way of life. This is due to the rise of evil in our nation, access to guns and increase of terrorism and loss of the preciousnes of the sanctity of life.
--homicides in multiple cities across our nation have seen record shootings and deaths; cities such as Chicago, Memphis, New Orleans, Baltimore and ST. Louis have seen record numbers.
--murder-suicides increased a number of years ago, and have conitnued, but their numbers are lessened;
--suicides have continued in teens, military and other part of our society;
--public executions involve school shootings, church, cops being shot and cops shooting innocents, terroists; we have seen a spike in this behavior and the numbers are drastically higher in the death rate.
But all of these forms of death by murder take a huge slice of our population and continue to set record numbers. AGain, the blood cries out from the ground for the Judge of all the earth to bring justice. Just as when CAin slew Abel, so the blood cries out today.
4. False Conversions;
--after years of continued baptism numbers down and spiralling; a new push to get the numbers up has happened; This has come along side of several places that have seen spiritual awakening. However, in some of these places of spiritual awakening the numbers they posts, they count an individual multiple of times. So it is hard to gauge at the accuracy of the numbers of just how many new converts there are.
--humanism has taken over to continue the trend of
