THE ACTIVITY OF GOD IN THE BIBLE - JOB

The Activity of God

Going through the Bible, book by book, chapter by chapter, verse by verse, phrase by phrase and word by word to give attention to the following:
--the Names of God;
--the word & deeds of God;
--the sayings of God;
--the attributes of God;

Too often the churches weakness and the Christians weakness is found in this one sin, 'we do not know God'.  We have not studied the Bible, nor Him to learn more of Him.  Seeking that this might be a help for myself and others in this pursuit that each of us 'may grow in grace and knowledge of our Lord.'

JOB
Chapter 1
1:1     one that feared God and eschewed evil     the fear of the Lord;  God is to be feared;
1:5     it may be that my sons have sinned and cursed God in their hearts.  thus did Job continually    God sees and knows those that sin against Him;  God sees and knows those that curse Him in their hearts, for God knows the hearts of men;
1:6     Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the Lord and Satan came also among them.     God's sons, creation of angels;   God receives them to present themselves before Him;
1:7     And the Lord said unto Satan, Whence comest thou?   Then Satan answered the Lord, and said, From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it.     And God said/spoke;   God asked Satan where he had come from; God knows all things and knew where he  had been;
God receives Satan's answer;
1:8     and the Lord said unto Satan, Hast thou considered My servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God and escheweth evil?     And God said/spoke;   God asked of Satan about Job;   God's servant Job;   God knew of Job that there was non like him in all the earth, perfect and upright and fears God;   the fear of the Lord;
1:9     Then Satan answered the Lord, and said, Doth Job fear God for nought?    God receives Satans answer;   the fear of the Lord;
1:10     Hast not Thou made a an hedge about him, and about his house, and about all that he hath on every side?  Thou hast blessed the work of his hands, and his substance is increased in the land.     God made a hedge about Job, his house and all that he had;   God blessed him in the work of his hands, his substance to increase;
1:11    But put forth Thine hand now, and touch all that he hath, and he will curse Thee to Thy face     God is able to put forthi His hand and touch the things of man;  God knows those that curse Him to His face;
1:12    And the Lord said unto Satan, Behold, all that he hat is in thy power,; only upon himself put not forth thine hand.  So Satan went forth from the presence of the Lord    And God said/spoke; God gave permission to Satan to touch Job, but spare he himself;   God's presence and those that went forth from it;
1:16    the fire of God is fallen from heaven     God was credited for the fire from heaven, since it was from above;  yet we know that Satan was behind this destruction and death;
1:21    the Lord gave and the Lord hath taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord     God gives;  God takes away;   God's Name is to be blessed and praised;
1:22    nor charged God foolishly    God is not to be charged foolishly by men that are in ignorance of such heavenly things;
Chapter 2
2:1     Again there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan came also among them to present himself before the Lord     God's sons (angels, creation);   God sees and knows these that come before Him to present themselves;   God sees and knows Satan that also present himself before the Lord;
2:2     And the Lord said unto Satan, From whence comest thou?  And Satan answered the Lord, and said, From going to and fro in the earth and from walking up and down in it.    And God said/spoke;   God asked the question of Satan already knowing the answer;   God hears the answer of SAtan;
2:3     And the Lord said unto Satan, Hast thou considered My servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil and still he holdeth fast his integrity, although thou movedst Me against him, to destroy him without cause.      And God said/spoke;   God addresses Satan regarding Job;  God's servant Job;  God sees and knows this man Job that he is perfect, upright fears God and eschews evil;    the fear of the Lord;    God moved against him to destroy him;
2:4     And Satan answered the Lord, and said, Skin for skin, yea, all that a man hath will he give for his life.     God hears the answers of Satan;
2:5     but put forth Thine hand now, and touch his bone and his flesh, and he will curse Thee to Thy face.     God's hand to touch his flesh and the allowance of this;   God knows and sees those that curse Him;   God's face sees and knows those that come against Him to curse;
2:6    And the Lord said unto Satan, Behold, he is in thine hand, but save his life.    And God said/spoke;   God gives permission to Satan to attack Job;
2:7    So went Satan forth from the presence of the Lord, and smote Job with sore boils from the sole of his foot unto his crown.    God's presence and the sons of His creation that had to approach unto Him;   God sees and knows his activity, especially against His children;
2:9    curse God and die    God sees and knows those that curse Him;  God knows when, where, who and how death will come to each; "He holds our breath in His hand'
2:10    What?  shall we receive good at the hand of God and shall we not receive evil?     God's hand gives and provides and causes good and evil;
Chapter 3
3:4    Let that day be darkness; let not God regard it from above    God regards from above the affairs of His creation;
3:23     and whom God hath hedged in?    God hedges men in;
Chapter 4
4:9      By the blast of God they perish, and by the breath of His nostrils are they consumed.    God blasts the wicked and they perish;   God's nostrils breath and they are consumed;
4:17    shall mortal man be more just than God?  shall a man be more pure than his Maker?    God is just;   God is more than man and His creation;   God is Maker of all;  God is pure;
4:18     Behold, He put no trust in His servants; and His angels He charged with folly.    God places and puts trust in no one but Himself;   God is trustworthy;  God's servants;   God's angels;  God charges His creation with their folly;
Chapter 5
5:8     I would seek unto God, and unto God would I commit my cause:    God is to be sought;   God receives causes committed unto His will;

5:13     He taketh the wise in their own craftiness:    God takes the wiss in their own ways;
5:15     But He saveth the poor from the sword, from their mouth, and from the hand of the mighty.     God saves the poor from sword, from mouth of others and from the hand of mighty;

Chapter 8
8:3     Doth God pervert judgment?  or doth the Almighty pervert justice?   God does not pervert judgement; God's Name - Almighty;  God does not pervert justice;  God's ways are perfect and right in judgement and justice;
