Too often the churches weakness and the Christians weakness is found in this one sin, 'we do not know God'. We have not studied the Bible, nor Him to learn more of Him. Seeking that this might be a help for myself and others in this pursuit that each of us 'may grow in grace and knowledge of our Lord.'
EZRA
Chapter 1
1:1 Now in the first year of Cyrus king of Persia, that the word of the Lord by the mouth of Jeremiah might be fulfilled, the Lord stirred up the spirit of Cyrus king of Persia, that he made a proclamation throughout all his kingdom, and put it also in writing, saying, And God said/spoke; God's man proclaimed God's way; God stirred up Cyrus to build the temple; God fulfilles His Word;
1:2 the Lord God of heaven hath given me all the kingdoms of the earth and He hath charged me to build Him an house at Jerusalem, which is in Judah. God is God of heaven and earth; God gave kingdoms of earth to Cyrus to rule; God charged Cyrus to build Him an house;
1:3 Who is there among you of all His people? his God be with him and let him go up to Jerusalem which is in Judah, and build the house of the Lord God of Israel, (He is the God) God's people; God is with those that be with Him; God's house to be built; God of Israel; God is God;
1:4 beside the frewill offering for the house of God that is in Jerusalem God's house where offerings and gifts to be brought;
1:5 with all them whose spirit God had raised to go up to build the house of the Lord which is in Jerusalem God stirs up the spirit within man to build His house; God's house to be rebuilt;
1:7 brought forth the vessels of the house of the Lord God's house vessels returned to His place;
Chapter 2
2:68 they came to the house of the Lord which is at Jerusalme offered freely for the house of God to set it up in his place: God's house where they came too; God's house where they offered;
Chapter 3
3:2 and builded the altar of the God of Israel, to offer burn offerings thereon, as it is written in the law of Moses the man of God. God's altar rebuilt for offerings; God's man, Moses;
3:3 they offered burn offerings thereon unto the Lord God's offerings from His people;
3:5 and of all the set feasts of the Lord that were consecrated and of every one that willingly offered a freewill offering unto the Lord God's feasts to be kept and observed unto Him by His people; God's offering brought before Him;
3:6 began they to offer burnt offerings unto the Lord, But the foundation of the temple of the Lord was not yet laid God's offerings offered before and unto Him; God's temple;
3:8 coming to the house of God . . . to set forward the work of the house of the Lord God's house they came to; God's house and the work to be set foward by the priests;
3:9 to set foward the workmen in the house of God God's house and the work to be set forward;
3:10 laid the foundation of the temple of the Lord . . . to praise the Lord God's temple foundation laid; God is to be praised;
3:11 in praising and giving thanks unto the Lord because He is good, for His mercy endureth for ever . . . when they praised the Lord because the foundation of the house of the Lord was laid God is to be praised and thanks is to be given for He is worthy; God is good; God's mercy endures forever; God is to be praised; God's house and the laying of the foundation;
Chapter 4
4:1 builded the temple unto the Lord God of Israel God's temple built; God is Lord God of Israel;
4:2 for we seek your God, as ye do; and we do sacrifice unto Him God is to be sought, to seek for; God receives and knows those that sacrifice rightly to Him; God knows these that sought Him half-heartedly and seek Him as they seek their false gods;
4:3 to build an house unto our God but we ourselves together will build unto the Lord God of Israel God's house to be built; God is Lord God of Israel;
4:24 then ceased the work of the house of God which is at Jerusalem God's house being built work is ceased;
Chapter 5
5:1 in the name of the God of Israel God of Israel; God's prophets decalring in the Name of God His Word;
5:2 began to build the house of God which is at Jerusalem: and with them were the prophets of God helping them God's house being built at Jerusalem; God's prophets helping them;
5:5 But the eye of their God was upon the elders of the Jews God sees, protects and delivers from their enemy; God's eye;
5:8 to the house of the great God, which is builded with great stones God' is great; God's house being built;
5:11 We are the servants of the God of heaven and earth God is God of heaven and earth, God's servants;
5:12 But after that our fathers had provoked the God of heaven unto wrath, He gave them into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar God provoked to anger for their sin; God gave them into the hand of their enemy;
5:13 to build this house of God God's house to be built;
5:14 And the vessels also of gold and silver of the house of God God's house and the vessels of gold and silver carried away and brought again to Jerusalem;
5:15 and let the house of God be builded in His place God's house builded;
5:16 and laid the foundation of the house of God which is in Jerusalem God's house foundation laid;
5:17 to build this house of God at Jerusalem God's house built at Jerusalem;
Chapter 6
6:3 the king made a decree concerning the house of God at Jerusalem God's house to be built at Jerusalem;
6:5 vessels of the house of God . . . be restored and brought again . . . and pl.ace them in the house of God God's house (2); God's vessels restored, brought again and placed them ther;
6:7 Let the work of this house of God alone. . . build this house of God in his place God's house to be built and work to be done;
6:8 building of this house of God God's house built;
6:9 for the burnt offerings of the God of heaven God's offering to be received and offered before Him;
6:10 they may offer sacrifices of sweet savours unto the God of heaven and pray for the life of the king of and of his sons. God is God of heaven; God is prayed to for king and sons;
6:12 And the God that hath caused His Name to dwell there destroy all kings and people that hsall put to their hand to alter and to destroy this house of God God caused His Name to dwell there in Jerusalem; God's house not to be destroyed or worked against;
6:14 And they builded, and finished it, according to the commandment of the God of Israel the Lord commanded; God's house built; God's prophets prophesied;
6:16 kept the dedication of this house of God with joy God's house dedicated with joy and offerings;
6:17 And offered at the deication of this house of God God's house and offerings offered unto Him;
6:18 for the service of God God's priests set to do service in God's house;
6:21 to seek the Lord God of Israel God of Israel; God is sought of them from the captivity;
6:22 for the Lord had made them joyful . . in the work of the house of God, the God of Israel God cause joy among His people; God's house; God of Israel;
Chapter 7
7:6 which the Lord God of Israel had given . . . according to the hand of the Lord his God upon him God gave law for priests; God's hand gave favor and was upon him;
7:9 according to the good hand of his God upon him God's hand was upon him; God's hand was good to him;
7:10 For Ezra had prepared his heart to seek the law of the Lord God is to be sought; God sees and knows those that prepare their hearts to do such;
7:11 even a scribe of the words of the commandments of the Lord the Lord commanded;
7:12 a scribe of the law of the God of heaven, perfect peace God is God of heaven and earth; God's man a scribe of the law of God;
7:14 according to the law of thy God which is in thine hand God's law; God's scribe to attend to the law of God;
7:15 freely offered unto the God of Israel, whose habitation is in Jerusalem God of Israel; God dwells in Jerusalem; God receives offering of men;
7:16 offering willingly for the house of their God which is in Jerusalem God's house in Jerusalem; God receives offering offered unto Him there;
7:17 offer them upon the altar of the house of your God which is in Jerusalem God's house, God's altar at Jerusalem where offerings are offered;
7:18 that do after the will of your God I will's of God to be done do His house;
7:19 The vessels also that are given thee for the service of the house of thy God, those deliver thou before the God of Jerusalem God's house and the vessels to go within; God of Jerusalem and those things done before Him;
7:20 for the house of thy God God's house;
7:21 Ezra the priest, the scribe of the law of the God of heaven, shall require of you, ti be done speedily God's law;
7:23 Whatsoever is commanded by the God of heaven, let it be diligently done for the house of the God of heaven the Lord commanded; God of heaven and earth; God's house;
7:24 of this house of God God's house;
7:25 after the wisdom of thy God . . . all such as know the laws of thy God God's wisdom; God's law;
7:26 will not do the law of thy God God's law to be obeyed;
7:27 Blessed be the Lord God of our fathers, which hath put such a thing as this in the king's heart, to beautify the house of the Lord God is to be praised and blessed; God blesses His chidlren; God put this act to be done into the kings heart; God's house to be beautified;
7:28 And hath extended mercy unto me before the king. . . and I was strengthened as the hand of the Lord my God was upon me God gives extended mercy by means of men; God's hand upon him and God stregnthens and encourages him;
Chapter 8
8:17 for the house of our God God's house;
8:18 And by the good hand of our God upon us God's hand and good things bestowed upon them;
8:21 that we might afflict ourselves before our God to seek of Him a right way for us, and for our littles ones and for all our substance God to be sought and fasted unto; God sought to find mercy and help for right way and protection on trip;
8:22 The hand of our God is upon all them for good that seek Him but His power and His wrath is against all them that forsake Him. God's hand upon all for good that seek Him; God to be sought and found; God's power given to help; God's wrath given to correct and punish; God is not to be forsaken;
8:25 offering of the house of our God God's house and the offerings offered unto Him;
8:28 Ye are holy unto the Lord . . . freewill offfering unto the Lord God of your fathers God is holy and those that serve Him must be holy; God of fathers; God's offering offered;
8:29 in the chambers of the house of the Lord God's house;
8:30 unto the house of our God God's house;
8:31 and the hand of our God was upon us and He delivered us from the hand of the eemy and of such as lay in wait by the way God's hand of protection upon them for blessing and mercy; God delivers from enemy;
8:33 the vessels weighed in the house of our God God's house and vessels weighed;
8:35 offered burtn offerings unto the God of Israel . . . all this was a burnt offering unto the Lord God receives and offerings are offered before Him; God's burnt offering offered unto Him;
8:36 and the house of God God's house;
Chapter 9
9:4 every one that trembled at the words of the God of Israel And God said/spoke; God's word to be feared and trembled at; God of Israel;
9:5 spread out my hands unto the Lord my God God to worshipped and humbled before;
9:6 And he said, O my God, I am ashamed and blush to lift up my face to Thee, my God; God was his God (2); God sees and knows those that broken and contrite before Him over the sins of the people;
9:8 grace hath been shewed from the Lord our God to leave us a remnant to escape and to give us a nail in His holy place, that our God may lighten our eyes, and give us a little reviving in our bondage. God gives grace to His people; God's holy place where He resides and watches; God lightens the eyes to see better circumstances and times in Him and with Him; God gives reviving;
9:9 yet our God hath not forsaken us in our bondage, but hath extended mercy unto us in the sight of the kings of Persia, to give us a reviving to set up the house of our God, God does not forsake His Own; God extends mercy to His people; God gives reviving; God's house;
9:10 and now, O our God, what shall we say after this? for we have forsaken Thy commandments. God hears and knows the cries of His people in prayer and confession before Him; The Lord commanded; God's commands;
9:11 Which Thou hast commanded by Thy servants the prophets, saying, the Lord commanded; God's servants the prophets who speak His word; And God said/spoke;
9:13 And after all that is come upon us for our evil deeds, and for our great trespass, seeing that Thou our God hast punished us less than our iniquitites deserve, and hast given us such deliverance as this; God punished them for their evil deeds and great trespass; God punished less than they deserved, God's grace and mercy; God granted deliverance;
9:14 Should we again break Thy commandments, . . .wouldest not Thou be angry with us till Thou hadst consumed us, the Lord commanded; God's commandments not to be broken; God's anger if they did it and consume them for it;
9:15 O Lord God of Israel, Thou art righteous: for we remain yet escaped as it is this day; behold we are before Thee in our trespasses for we cannot stand before Thee because of this. God of ISrael; God is righteous; God sees and knows those that come before Him with trespass against Him; God sees and knows those that come before Him in humbleness, prostrate and not standing before Him because of their great sin;
Chapter 10
10:1 weeping and casting himself down before the house of God God's house; God sees anknows those that are broken, contrite, weeping and lamenting before Him;
10:2 We have trespassed against our God God sees and knows those that have trespassed against Him;
10:3 Now therefore let us make a covenant with our God to put away all the wives . . . those that tremble at the commandment of our God God receives and hears those that are willing to enter into a right covenant with Him; the Lord commanded; God sees and knows those that tremble before Him;
10:6 rose up from before the house of God God's house; God sees and knows Ezra response before Him due to their great sin;
10:9 all the people sat in the street of the house of God trembling because of this matter God's house; God sees and knows those that tremble before Him for their great sin;
10:11 Now therefore make confession unto the Lord God of your fathers and do His pleasure God to receive those that come before Him with confession of sins; God sees and hears and knows those that come before Him for confession; God of fathers; God's pleasure to be done;
10:14 until the fierce wrath of our God for this matter be turned from us God's wrath sought to be turned away from them due to their great sin;
NEHEMIAH
Chapter 1
1:4 I sat down and wept, and mourned certain days, and fasted and prayed before the God of heaven God hears and sees those of broken and contrite prayers before Him; God of heaven and earth;
1:5 And said, I beseech Thee, O Lord God of heaven, the great and terrible God, that keepeth covenant and mercy for them that love Him and observe His commandments. God hears the prayers of those that cry out to Him; God of heaven; God is great and terrible; God keeps covenant; God keeps mercy for those that love Him; God knows those that love Him and observe His commands;
1:6 Let thine ear now be attentive, and Thine eyes open, that Thou mayest hear the prayer of Thy servant, which I pray before Thee now, day and night for the children of Israel Thy servants, and confess the sins of the children of Israel, which we have sinned against Thee God's ears to hear; God's eyes to see the soul that comes before Him with prayer; God knows those that come rightly before Him; God's servants, God knows those that have sinned against Him;
1:7 We have dalt very corruptly against Thee . . whihc Thou commandedst Thy servant Moses God knows those that have dealt corruptly before Him; the Lord commanded; God's servant Moses;
1:8 Remember, I beseech Thee, the word that Thou commandedst Thy servant Moses, saying, If ye transgress I will scatter you abroad among the nations: God remembers His Word and promsies and commands; the Lord commanded; God's servant Moses; I will's of God to scatter them abroad for their sin;
1:9 but if ye turn unto Me, and keep My commandments, and do them; . . . yet will I gather them from thence, and will bring them unto the place that I have chosen to set My Name there. God knows those that turn to Him rightly; God knows and sees those that keep and do His commands; I will's of God to gather and bring them again to Jerusalem; God chose that place to set His Name there; God's Name;
1:10 Now these are Thy servant and Thy people, whom Thou hast redeemed by Thy great power, and by Thy strong hand. God's servants; God's people; God redeems; God has great power; God's strong hand;
1:11 O Lord, I beseech Thee, let now Thine ear be attentive to the prayer of Thy servant, and to the prayer of Thy servants, who desire to fear Thy Name and porsper, I pray Thee , Thy servants this day, and grant him mercy in the sight of this man. God hears and sees those that come before Him; God's ear attentive to right prayers; God's servant; God and His great Name to be feared; God grants mercy in sight of men for his glory;
Chapter 2
2:4 so I prayed to the God of heaven God hears the prayers offered unto Him by His children; God of heaven and earth;
2:8 according to the good hand of my God upon me God's hand upon His servants for good;
2:12 neither told I any man what my God had put in my heart to do at Jerusalem God puts upon his heart;
2:18 then I told them of the hand of my God which was good upon me God's hand upon him for good;
2:20 The God of heaven, He will prosper us I will's of God to prosper them in this work; God of heaven;
Chapter 3
3:5 but their nobles put not their necks to the work of their Lord God sees and knows that will not do the work;
Chapter 4
4:4 Hear, O our God, for we are despised: and turn their reproach upon their own head, and give them for a prey in the land of captivity. God hears and sees the plight that His people pray before Him over;
4:5 And cover not their iniqutiy, and let not their sin be blotted out from before Thee: for they have provoked Thee to anger before the builders. God is able to cover and blot out sins or not; God sees and knows that which is done before Him; God is provoked to anger;
4:9 Nevertheless we made our prayer unto our God God hears and sees those that pray unto Him;
4:14 remember the Lord, which is great and terrible God is great and terrible; God is to be remembered for Who He is and what HE is able to do;
4:15 God had brought their counsel to nought God is able to undo the works of the enemy;
4:20 our God shall fight for us God fights for His people;
Chapter 5
5:9 ought ye not to walk in the fear of our God because of the reproach of the heathen our enemies? the fear of the Lord; God is to be feared;
5:13 So God shake out every man from his house, and from his labour, that performeth not this promise, even this be he shaken out, and emptied. And all the congregation said, Amen, and priased the Lord God is able to shake out any that will not keep their oath; God is to be praised and worthy of it;
5:15 because of the fear of God the fear of the Lord; God is to be feared;
5:19 Think upon me, my God, for good, according to all that I have done for this people. God hears and sees the prayers and works of His servants; God knows what he had done for Israel;
Chapter 6
6:9 Now therefore, O God, strengthen my hands. God is able to strengthen the hands of His servants;
6:10 let us meet together in the house of God God's house;
6:12 I perceived that God had not sent him God did not send this man for prophecy; God is able to send to warn and deliver though;
6:14 My God, think Thou upon Tobiah and Sanballat according to these their work and on the prophetess and the rest of the prophets, that would have put me in fear God sees and knows those that come against His children; God knows the false prophets and those that seek to harm and hinder His children;
6:16 for they perceived that this work was wrought of our God God does these things for His glory;
Chapter 7
7:2 and feared God above many the fear of the Lord; God is to be feared:
7:5 My God put into mine heart to gather together the nobels, and the rulers, and the people, that they might be reckoned by genealogy God puts within his heart to number the people by registry;
Chapter 8
8:1 bring the book of the law of Moses, which the Lord had commanded to Israel the Lord commanded; God's Word to be read and taught of the law;
8:6 And Ezra blessed the Lord, the great God. And all the people answered, Amen, Amen; with lifting up their hands: and they bowed their heads, and worshipped the Lord with their faces to the ground. God is to be blest by His people; God is great; God is to be worshipped with bowing prostrate/humble before Him;
8:8 so they read in the book in the law of God distinctly God's law to be read and taught to God's people;
8:9 This day is holy unto the Lord your God God sets a day that is holy; God is holy;
8:10 this day is holy unto our Lord: neither be ye sorry; for the joy of the Lord is your strength God sets a day that is holy; God is holy; God's joy is strength;
8:14 they found written in the law which the Lord had commanded by Moses the Lord commanded;
8:16 and in the courts of the house of God God's house;
8:18 they read in the book of the law of God God's law written in a book and read;
Chapter 9
9:3 read in the book of the law of the Lord their God one fourth part of the day; and another fourth part they confessed, and worshipped the Lord their God. God's law written in the book and read before the people; God is worshipped;
9:4 cried with a loud voice unto the Lord their God God hears and sees those that cry unto Him;
9:5 Stand up and bless the Lord yoru God for ever and ever and blessed be Thy glorious Name, which is exalted above all blessing and praise God is blessings and to be blest for ever and evwer; God's Name is glorious and blessed; God Name is exalted with blessing and praise;
9:6 Thou, even Thou, art Lord alone; Thou hast made heaven the heaven of heavens with all their host, the eart and all things that are therein, the seas and all that is therein and Thou preservest them all and the host of heaven worshippeth Thee God is God alone; God made heavens, earth and seas and all that is therein; God preserves everything; God is worshpped by host of heaven;
9:7 Thou art the Lord the God Who didst choose Abram and broughtest him forth out of Ur of the Chaldees, and gavest him the name of Abraham God did chose Abram ; God brought him forth out of Ur; God gave him name of Abraham;
9:8 And foundest his heart faithful before Thee, and madest a covenant with him to give the land . . . to give it, I say, to his seed and hast performed Thy words; for Thou art righteous. God finds men's heart whether they be faithful or not; God made a covenant with him; God gives the land to him and his seed; God performs His Word; God is righteous;
9:9 And didst see the affliction of our fathers in Egypt and heardest their cry by the Red sea; God sees the affliction of His people; God hears their cries;
9:10 And showedst signs and wonders upon Pharaoh. . . for Thou knewest that they dealt proudly against them. So didst Thou get Thee a Name, as it is this day. God shows signs and wonders upon Egypt; God knows the pride of men's heart against His people; God's Name above all Names;
9:11 And Thou didst divide the sea before them, so that they went through the midst of the sea on the dry land; and their persecutors Thou threwest into the deeps, as a stone into the mighty waters. God divided the sea before Israel; God made the sea dry land for them to cross; God threw their persecutors into the sea;
9:12 Moreover thou leddest them in the day by a cloudy pillar; and in the night by a pillar of fire, to give them light in the way wherein they should go God led by cloudy pillar by night and day; God gave them light to know the way where to go;
9:13 Thou camest down also upon mount Sinai, and spakest with them from heaven and gavest them right judgemetns, and true laws, good statutes and commandments: God came down upon Mt. Sinai; God spake unto them from heaven ; God gave them His judgements, law, statutes and commands;
9:14 And madest known unto them Thy holy sabbath and commandedst them precepts, statutes, and laws, by the hand of Moses thy servant God made know to them His holy sabbath; God commanded them preceps, statutes and laws; God's servant Moses;
9:15 And gavest them bread from heven for their hunger and broughtest forth water for them out of the rock for their thirst, and promisedst them that they should go in to posses the land which Thou hadst sworn to give them God gave them bread from heaven; God brought forth water out of the rock; God promised them; God give them the land to posses; God swore it;
9:16 and hearkened not to Thy commandments God knows those that hear and those tha twil lnot listen to His commands; God's commandments;
9:17 And refused to obey, neither were mindful of Thy wonders that Thou didst among them, . . .but Thou art a God ready to pardon, gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness and forsookest them not. God knows and sees those that refuse to obey Him; God knows those that are not mindful of His wonders; God is God; God pardons; gracious and merciful, slow to anger and great kindness; God does not forsake;
9:19 Yet Thou in thy manifold mercies forsookest them not in the wilderness, the pillar of the cloud departed not forth from them by day to lead them in the way; neither the pillar of fire by night, to shew them light and the way wherein they should go. God's mercies not to forsake them; God's pillar led them in the way day and night;
9:20 Thou gavest also Thy good spirit to instruct them, and withheldest not Thy manna from their mouth, and gavest them water for their thirst. God gave His Spirit to instruct them; God gave them food and gave them water;
9:21 yea, forty years didst Thou sustain them in the wilderness, so that they lacked nothing; their clothes waxed not old, and their feet swelled not. God sustained them for 40 years; God made sure they lacked nothing; God made their clothes to not rot or wax old; God kept their health that their feet did not swell;
9:22 Moreover Thou gavest them kingdoms and nations, and didst divide them into corners: so they possessed the land of Sihon God gave them the kingdoms and nations; God did divide them into portions;God allowed them to possess the land;
9:23 and broughtest them into the land, concerning which Thou hadst promised to their fathers, that they should go into possess it. God brought them into the promises land; God promised it to their fathers and God let them possess it;
9:24 and Thou subduedst before them the inhabitants of the land God subdues enemy before His people;
9:25 and delighted themselves in Thjy great goodness God's great goodness;
9:26 Nevertheless they were disobedient, and rebelled against Thee and cast Thy law behind their backs, and slew Thy prophets which testified against them to turn them to Thee God sees and knows those that rebel and are disobedient against Him; God's law they cast away; God's prophets slew;
9:27 Therefore Thou deliveredst them into the hand of their enemies . . . when they cried unto Thee, Thou heardest them from heaven and according to Thy manifold mercies Thou gavest them saviours God delivered them into enemies hands for their disobedience; God hears the cries of His children; God in heaven; God's mercies given;
9:28 did evil again before Thee: therefore leftest Thou them in the hand of their enemies, . . yet when they returned, and cried unto Thee, Thou heardest them from heaven and many times didst Thou deliver them according to Thy mercies. God sees and knows those that do evil before Him; God left them into hand of enemy; God hears the cries of them that return in sorrow; God delivered; God's mercies;
9:29 And testifiedst against them, that Thou mightest bring them again unto Thy law;. . . and hearkened not unto Thy commandments but sinned against Thy judgments, (which if a man do, he shall live in them;) God testified unto them against their rebellion and sin; God desired to bring them unto Him; God knows those that refuse to hear and keep His commandments; God knows those that sin against His judgements;
9:30 Yet many years didst Thou forbear them, and testifiedst against them by Thy spirit in Thy prophets: yet would they not give ear, therefore gavest Thou them into the hand of the people of the lands. God forbears their sins against Him; God testifies against them; God's Spirit in God's prophets bears witness; God gave them into hand of enemy;
9:31 Nevertheless for Thy great mercies' sake Thou didst not utterly consume them, nor forsake them; for Thou art a gracious and merciful God. God's great mercy; God restrains from utterly consuming the wicked; God does not utterly forsake them; God is gracious; God is merciful;
9:32 Now, therefore, our God, the great, the mighty, and the terrible God, Who keepest covenant and mercy, let not all the trouble seem little before Thee, . . . and on all Thy people God is our God; God is great; God is terrible; God keeps covenant and mercy; God sees and knows the trouble upon them;God's people;
9:33 Howbeit Thou art jkust in all that is brought upon us; for Thou hast done right, but we have done wickedly. God is just in all His ways; God brings them upon them; God does right; God sees what they have done in wickedness before Him;
9:34 Neither have our kings, our princes, our priests, nor our fathers, kept Thy law, nor hearkened unto Thy commandments and Thy testimonies, wherewith Thou didst testify against them. God sees and knows those that do not keep His laws; God knows those that will not hear His commandments and testimonies; God testified against them;
9:35 For they have not served Thee in their kingdom, and in Thy great goodness that Thou gavest them, and int he large and fat land which Thou gavest before them, neither turned they from their wicked works. God knows those that serve Him or not; God's great goodness; God gave them the land before them;
9:36 and for the land that Thou gavest unto our fathers to eat the fruit thereof and the good thereof, behold, we are servants in it; God gave the land unto their fathers; God made them to be servants in it for their folly;
9:37 unto the kings whom Thou hast set over us because of our sins God set the kings of other nations over them for their great sin;
Chapter 10
10:28 they that had separated themselves from the people of the lands unto the law of God God sees and knows those that separated themselves unto God's law;
10:29 to walk in God's law, which was given by Moses the servant of God, and to observe and do all the commandments of the Lord our Lord and His judgments and His statues God sees, hears and knows those that do keep His law and enter into covenant; God's servant Moses;

10:33 for all the work of the house of our God God's house and the work done within it and to it;
10:34 for the wood offering, to bring it into the house of our God. . . to burn upon the altar of the Lord our God God's house and offering brought within it; God's altar offered before Him;

10:36 to bring to the house of our God unto the priests that minister in the house of our God God's house and that which is offered and done within it by God's priests;
10:37 to the chambers of the house of our God God's house and chambers within it;
10:38 bring up the tithe of the tithes unto the house of our God God's house and tithe brought before Him;
10:39 and we will not forsake the house of our God God's house not to be forsaken;
Chapter 11
11:11 was the ruler of the house of God God's house and ruler of it;

13:25 made them swear by God God's Name is used and declared for oath;
13:26 who was beloved of his God and God made him king over all Israel God's beloved; God makes a king;
13:27 to do all this great evil to transgress against our God in marrying strange wives? God sees and knows the sins transgressed against Him and His ways;
13:29 Remember them, O my God because they have defiled the priesthood God remembers and knows those that defile His ways;
13:31 Remember me, O my God for good. God remembers and knows; God is good and able to bestow good things;
