Greetings,
"And he settled his countenance stedfastly, until he was ashamed: and the man of God wept." II Kings 8:11
Are we not here children of God? Settle your countenance steadfastly upon them. Look into their eyes, their hearts, their souls and see how great the evil is within and bubbling out of their hearts. and weep!!
Elisha was being enquired of by the king of Syria. The man of God was enquired of, for the will of God. Do you see people coming to church today for that? I see them coming for entertainment and ease of conscience, but I do not see the coming for the will of God. His health was at risk, it was life and death that was upon his mind. And he would be healed and restored, yet, there was evil near. "and he knew not that evil was near" How many have fallen when they were unaware of what was getting ready to happen. And they were not prepared. My readings in Gurnall's 'Christian in complete Armour" warns, 'always have your whole armour at all times, for you know not when your adversary will come'. And the man of God is enquired of and God reveals who stands before him and what he will do in the days to come.
did any of us understand or see what was coming in our nation 30 years ago? Did we see that things would become so evil, that that which the Lord pronounced as abominations would be legalized, implemented and celebrated? The church is in an uproar over the NY state law of allowance of abortion up till delivery. Aghast that they applauded and celebrated in the murdering of babies. But did we not see? did we not fix our countenance upon them and know that evil is capable of doing anything and everything. A lost man is capable of doing any evil at any time for Satan owns them and directs them and controls them for his agenda.
The man of God gazed upon them as God was revealing to him inwardly what evil this man would do. He saw that he would butcher the children of Israel. He would rip up the women with child; he would slay the young and old, the woman and the children, he would be an agent for hell. Death and destruction are the two actions that reveal the work of Satan and hell. Any where that you see this know that Satan's activity is behind it. Now gaze upon our society:
--drugs; see how much death and destruction of minds, homes and society, and they continue to legalize it and promote it;
--alcohol; since it legalization in 1933, see how much death and destruction has been done;
--homosexuality & LGBT; see how much death from AIDS, suicides for their minds are evil affected and see the death and destruction upon a nation, upon homes, upon lives and upon our future;
--cancer; see the death and destruction;
--great evils of men in homicides, suicides, and murder-suicides; death and destruction;
Why do you not see these things? Is it because your so busy, you don't 'settle your countenance on the things of God and let Him reveal to you the things that are, and the things that shall be. Earlier this month another moment happened of this truth. Over the last several years, God has been doing this work in me of stirring my spirit when evil is coming. It is a process of learning for I do not understand it fully. But as this evil was revealed to Elisha, he gazed, he broke, he wept. God has stirred that an evil was coming earlier this month. It seemed to be terrorism. I sent out to prayer partners to pray towards this end. The next day headlines reported, 'Terrorists Arrested for buying a missile launcher and planning to attack White House." It was stopped and thwarted because God revealed, God's people prayed and wept and God was merciful.
Now Elisha revealed to this man what he would do and become. He denied it. But it came to pass. For he took the Word of God and used it for his own selfish and evil purposes and caused much death and destruction. Do you see it? Hitler -- roe vs. Wade & the Supreme Court -- politicians -- church (?) Why the church, because it has been revealed, but we would not respond rightly; our neglect is hell's advance of death and detruction.
The prophet wept. When and what was the last thing you wept over? At the close of this first month of the year, I shared that my 3 principals this year was - 1. holy; 2. broken and contrite & 3. weeping at every prayer meeting. I have not been faithful to this after looking back over 30 days. Does that mean one stops and quits and shoots for next year? Absolutely not. right here, right now, begin again. Brethren, the church needs to weep at the altars. After NY state votes, a lot of church leaders posted about running to the altars and praying for our nation on Sunday. Their mentality is one and done. Brethren, it must be every week, and greater if it is several times in a week. Our response does not meet the evil revealed.
"And he settled his countenance steadfastly, until he was ashamed: and the man of God wept."
EPIDEMICS:
1. Drugs & Alcohol;
2. Cancer; from the lists that I have praying over; 1 death; 1 completed radiation; 1 surgery; 1 got home after a year at Cincinnati children's hospital; I asked the receptionists down at Cumberland hospital how many they treated per day. And in our small rural area, she said 160 per day. I asked if it was rising. she said the last several months has seen a rise, but norm would be 150. Now within our area, surrounding, we have upwards toward high estimate of 200,000 people. I would estimate 2,000 with cancer. They estimate 1.7 million cancer cases per year; 600,000 deaths. They also say that it is on the decrease. And there are hopes of medical breakthrough for cure.
3. Great Evil; Suicides in headlines this month is off the charts. Schools have remained safe, DO NOT LET UP ON THIS IN PRAYER. Police officers still continue, no deaths, but several shootings. HOmicides still up. Quiet on murder-suicides, only a few, whereas we was seeing one every several days.
4. LGBT; Several advances as they continue with their evil agenda. church largely silent on it.
5. Children; with the approach of the Super Bowl, 4X increase in sex trafficking among children. 6. Natural Disasters;

--"Call to Prayer & church response" I did not send. After church pastors and leaders out cry over NY law, waiting to see response. but the super bow. is this week and they go back to their frolicking and neglect the battle for our lives is upon us. Their mentality is 'one and done', but it must be every week and several times during the week to prevail. We do not know what is at stake!

THE ACTIVITY OF GOD IN THE BIBLE - II KINGS
The Activity of God
Going through the Bible, book by book, chapter by chapter, verse by verse, phrase by phrase and word by word to give attention to the following:
--the Names of God;
--the word & deeds of God;
--the sayings of God;
--the attributes of God;
Too often the churches weakness and the Christians weakness is found in this one sin, 'we do not know God'. We have not studied the Bible, nor Him to learn more of Him. Seeking that this might be a help for myself and others in this pursuit that each of us 'may grow in grace and knowledge of our Lord.'

And God said/spoke; God gave directive to not do such evil, but to keep His commands, statutes and law; the Lord commanded; God sent to them His Word by His prophets;

17:27 let him teach them the manner of the God of the land God's manner to be taught by priest to people of the land;
17:28 taught them how they should fear the Lord the fear of the Lord; God's manner and way to be taught them how to live;
17:32 So they feared the Lord and made unto themselves of the lowest of them priests of the high places the fear of the Lord; God is feared halfheartedly, for they also served their idols at the same time;
17:33 They feared the Lord and served their own gods the fear of the Lord; God was feared halfheartedly at the same time they worshipped idols;

17:37 which He wrote for you ye shall observe to do for evermore; God wrote commands, laws and ways to be obeyed always by His people;
17:38 And the covenant that I have made with you ye shall not forget neither shall ye fear other gods. God's covenant to be kept; God made it with Israel and not to be forgotten; fear the Lord only;
17:39 But the Lord your God ye shall fear; and He shall deliver you out of the hand of all yout enemies. the fear of the Lord; God delivers you out of hand of enemy;

CALL TO PRAYER & RESPONSE
Greetings,
"The Lord hath been sore displeased with your fathers. . . turn ye unto Me, saith the Lord of hosts, and I will turn unto you, saith the Lord of hosts. . . turn ye now from your evil ways, and from your evil doings: but they did not hear, nor hearken unto Me, saith the Lord . . . .according to our ways and according to our doings, so hath He dealt with us." Zechariah 1:2 - 6
Last year, Prayer Link was seeking where the prayer life of the SBC was. The desire was to be more active to encourage, enable and employ prayer in a greater part of our service for the Lord. But before one knows what to do and where to go, one must know where they are at. The prayer life of the SBC presently has not been what it should be. Especially when considering the need to confront the lostness, darkness and evil of our day. Contacts were made among state conventions, associations and regional leaders, as well as individual churches and pastors of what their prayer life looked like. It was also sought of what prayer was done time wise and employed annually, semi-annual, monthly and weekly to help answer this question of what the prayer life looked like. The individual prayer life is one thing, but the corporate prayer life of the SBC was what was being sought to see what it looked like.
Found among states, associations and churches was the result that we are not houses of prayer. Nor, are we a people given unto prayer. Found among the SBC's 42 state conventions, 47,000 churches, over 1,000 associations and regions, and SBC entities there was, during a month's time, less than 20% are having any kind of corporate praying. Meaning that over 80% are not corporately praying in a month's time. This was expected, but nonetheless, still alarming and convicting. We are guilty of the sin of prayerlessness.
Now that we know where we are at, the questions becomes, what do we do? We seek to change that testimony and witness and become that which the Lord declared that He is pleased with. We should seek to become a people of prayer and become houses of prayer.
In Isaiah 59, 'when evil comes in like a flood, God raises up a standard against that evil'. God's people during these days of increased evil, as many lost souls, nationally, in our churches and world wide, we must seek the Lord and be that standard. Therefore, we such a time as this upon us, that we seek throughout this prayer to be very intentional about corporately praying. I have always believed that the corporate prayer meeting can never be more than what the individuals secret closet prayer time is like. Absent from the secret closet, will hinder the corporate prayer meeting. The two do work as one.
It is the urgency of the hour that is pressing upon us as a nation. Our very future is at stake. It is time to get serious about prayer. Decades have now come and gone, judgements have heightened, and our very existence as a nation is in jeopardy. This is to contact you about your position, your walk with the Lord to draw together and employ means to call for prayer among the brethren.
May we identify 3 areas and employ our hearts to pray as never before.
RECOGNIZE OUR SITUATION
We are in trouble!. Every fabric of our society and existence is in jeopardy. We are seeing great losses and crises on the streets, in the homes, in the minds and in the churches. Every part of society is being impacted physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually. Now the last one, spiritually, if made right would heal and restore the other 3 areas. We need desperately need God! But finding a desperation for God is a hard thing to find. Even among God's people, the church, the standard is a continual operation of normal activities. There is not much desperation, anguish or heartache, until it hits home.
The Lord's hand has gone out against our nation, our homes, our families, and the church. Our ways and doings before Him has not been right for a long time. God has warned us and given us opportunities to respond, but we have not turned to Him with a whole heart as we should. The judgements and evil of our nation has only increased over the decades. The handwriting of God is on the wall for our nation and for the church in North America. This may be our last opportunity to turn to Him rightly. Great is His mercy, but also is great is wrath!
Our current plight and situation is needful to understand just where we are. We are seeing record levels of natural destruction's upon our nation through droughts, floods, storms, and fires. Our streets are seeing record number of homicides. Our young people, military are seeing record number of suicides. Drugs and alcohol are consuming an entire generation and leaving a far worse scenario for the near future. Police officers are being gunned down and killed as never before. And the church, who has the means to do something about it, has lost its Holy filling and Ichabod is upon too many fo the church and pulpits of today.
We are in a great crisis. A fight for our future and for our very existence. But you could not tell this by the activities of our nation, and of the church. There is a large haze over the eyes and ears of the people. We seem almost content as we steam roll to destruction. Of any, the church should be sensing an alarm and be aware of our plight. We are not in good way, brethren. But there is hope! And that hope is found directly in a prevailing spirit of prayer by God's people. Corporately praying each week, each month among brethren, we entreat the Lord for His hand of grace and mercy, rather His hand of anger and fury. But the sands in the hour glass are running out, and we must see the urgent need.
IMMEDIATE RESPONSE
God has given us a means to save us. This hope is not in man; it is not in means or methods; it is God Almighty. "Not by might, nor by power, but by My Spirit, saith the Lord" He has promised, an absolute promise, 'if you turn to Me, I will turn to you'. But God requires a response from us. Now it cannot be expected that DC or state capitals will speak and do the right response. But it is easily expected that God's church and people should respond rightly.
Therefore let us turn to Him. Let us resolve throughout this year to correct our sin.
1. Intentional prayer times to be set monthy; bi-monthly and weekly.
2. Let these prayer meetings be set with a specific agenda of worship - confession - supplication
--worship - to acknowledge Almighty God and all His verses of His Names, Attributes and Deeds;
--confession - let us acknowledge our sins, transgressions and iniquities as a nation, the church and our own hearts;
--supplications - a pleading of urgency and fervency with Him for His Divine Presence (Revival); help and fullness of His Spirit;
CONSISTENCY OF MAINTAINING
This is not a "one and done" moment. But it is must be resolved and determined by the church to stay until we prevail. As we read the phrase in the Old Testament, 'they grabbed hold of the horns of the altar' and would not let go; as Jacob held the angel and would not let go; so must we. Until those words are spoke from God's holy throne, "I have seen your tears and broken heart; I have heard your wails and cries; and I will grant you the desire of your heart for My Names' sake." Pray so as to prevail.
This is not done with haphazard praying. This is not done with sporadic praying. This is not done but by whole hearts, souls and minds given unto the Lord, for the weight of what is at stake presses us to pray such. The command was the same for the disciples from Christ resurrection, to ascension to prevailing in prayer in the upper room. 'Wait until you be endued with power form on high.' They waited, they prayed, they were united, and they prevailed. All such times in history of God's Manifest presence coming, came in such like fashion. We must be like minded an resolved also.
Let the resolve be then to encourage and enable each other to persevere and steadfast in weekly and monthly corporate praying. Often it is seen that in the moment of crisis, there is heightened prayer. but as the moment passes, or the flesh grows weary, prayer fades away. Satan is more than willing to allow a moment of prayer, but he will work hard against a unified, enduring, persevering spirit of prayer. Let the brethren be so minded and set such a standard to maintain.
Brethren, this is my heart cry. This is my suggested means to wage a successful war for souls, against evil and prevail against the destruction of our nation. It will be found if, and only if, the church rises to meet this flood of evil with the weapon of warfare that our Lord entrusted us with, the weapon of prayer.

Zechariah 1:2 - 6

PRAYER BLOG - JANUARY 15, 2019
Greetings,
"The Lord hath been sore displeased with your fathers. Therefore say thou unto them, Thus saith the Lord of hosts; Turn ye unto Me, saith the Lord of hosts, and I will turn unto you, saith the Lord of hosts. Be ye not as your fathers, unto whom the former prophets have cried, saying, Thus saith the Lord of hosts, Turn ye now from your evil ways, and from your evil doings: but they did not hear, nor hearken unto Me, saith the Lord. . . . Like as the Lord of hosts thought to do unto me, according to our ways, and according to our doings, so hath He dealt with us." Zechariah 1:2 - 6
God is immutable. He changes not in all His ways. We see this throughout Scripture consistently, as God deals with men, nations. We see His love, His covenant, we see His wrath and anger. God's anger and fury goes out against a people, a nation and against individuals. One can read through the Old Testament and learn much of Who God is and what God has said about Himself, His ways and what He will do. God has also spoken much about our ways and doings. And when our ways and doings as a nation, as the church do not please Him (v. 2), you receive correction from the Lord. The Lord punishes and sends judgement to correct the behavior of men's ways and doings that are not right in His sight.
when the people respond rightly, God in mercy and grace, forgives, renews relationship and restores blessing. Oh, how often this is shown throughout Scripture and history. Jonah warned, Nineveh repented; Nathan warned, David repented; Ezra warned, Israel repented; and they found God there ready to receive them. How much more is He willing to do for us as a nation, and how much more for His church.
Yes, it is a two fold message. One for the nation, and one for the church. God holds the church at a higher accountability rate for they should have known better. So here is what we have facing us:
1. God has already established His ways and doings to all mankind. The churches job is to teach the nations what God has said, Who He is and what He will do to the just and unjust.
2. Our ways and doings are not right in His sight. As a nation our ways and doings are of the abominations of the heathen that God destroyed before Him in other nations, empires and kindgoms. Without a turn of true repentance soon, God will destroy us completely. We are already on that course of self-destruction with the EPIDEMICS listed below.
the churches ways and doings are not much better. Holiness is lost among the brethren. Disciplines are hard to find among church leaders. An the ones that implore for church members to read their Bible, pray and attend church, offer it as its yucky medicine to a sick child. The true child of God should want to do the disciplines to please the Lord and learn more of Him. We, as the church, are as geared for entertainment of flesh and self as the world is. Thats the reason our 'worship' times mirror rock concerts and theater movies. It is more about self, than the Savior. This is not pleasing to Him. He will condemn our ways and doings.
3. God has sent us multiple warnings over the last few decades. We have not hearkened unto His voice. National leaders have had opportunity but have refused to humble themselves and make the nation follow suit. Church leaders have not obeyed either. It is not an option, it is a command. Humble, fast, weep, confess, repent and turn to Him with whole hearts. He will turn to us if we turn to Him. but if we refuse to turn to Him, He will not turn to us but leave us to reap what we have sown. He is waiting for us to respond rightly, but time is eroding away. The handwriting is on the wall brethren. The next calamity will shake us deeply, I fear.
4. So what is our plight:
1. Continue on, as is, and our nation will self-destruct. We are already seeing the product of this. The church continues on, as is, and as the numbers have decreased continually, God will remove our candlestick as a church in this nation. We've had every means and method, ways and doing to build His kingdom. But too many sought to build their own kingdom at His expense.
2. Immediate need to understand our plight. Respond appropriately as He has called and said. Our plight - what we have done
--1933 - legalized use and consumption of alcohol;
--1963 - Madalyne Murray O'hare & Supreme Court removed Bible being read in public schools; separation of church and state;
--1973 - Supreme Court Rove vs. Wade - abortion is legalized; blood shed tops 60 million babies, an entire generation that we must answer for;
--2013 - homosexuality is legalized by Supreme Court;
--2018 - 2019 - legalizing of drugs use in the midst of great death rate of drugs; drugs for drugs; church is as guilty of this as any;
3. churches response - immediate recognition of our offense against the Lord. A call to prayer weekly corporately among small groups and churches. A monthly fast to be held, as the Concerts of Prayer did before the 1st Great Awakening. Time given to weep, howl, mourn, anguish over our plight before the Lord.
the continuation of the church to go on with its programs, half-hearted attempt to reconcile with the Lord will only hasten our demise. For the Lord will see, that their is none that is serous about turning back to Him. The remnant will not sustain the nation any more, or the church, but only their own walk and time with the Lord.
I wonder truly is this understood, taught, accepted? Or will it be, v. 4, "but they did not hear, nor hearken unto Me, saith the Lord." Two years ago, in the midst of natural calamities, school shooting and before the great tragedy in Las Vegas, God gave church and prayer leaders the opportunity to respond, they refused. And the mass shooting in Las Vegas happened. We are at this crux again.
My research last year for Prayer Link, that detailed the neglect of prayer among SBC churches I will set before them a plan and call once again. Please pray for this as I work it out and seek to see the church become 'houses of prayer' again.

SPIRITUAL WARFARE
January, 2019
Greetings,
I will be adding numerous verses, but wanted to explain the reason of this posting for now. Over the years, as the Lord has sought to draw, teach and call me to prayer, I have begun to see, what is at stake and needed for prevailing prayer. Nothing anguishes my heart more than to know how short I have come in this. For even though, as I believe, He has entrusted me with other remnant prayer warriors, I have not responded as I shoudl. This failure has not just hindered the Lord's kingdom work, but I have given allowance for Satan and hell to advance. I do nto believe the church fully understands this concept; perhaps they will not even agree with that concept. But as the Lord has revealed numerous means and methods of prayer, the most of it is found in this battle, for Him to be glorified and prevail; for Satan to be defeat and undone. This is the battle of the ages and for eternity.

PRAYER BLOG - JANUARY 9
Greetings,
"Now will I shortly pour out My fury upon thee, and accomplish Mine anger upon thee: and I will judge thee accord to thy ways and will recompence thee for all thine abominations." Ezekiel 7:8
Through the month of December, God was speaking, 'do you know what is at stake?'
Through bible readings between Christmas and new years, Isaiah, Jereemiah and now Ezekiel, God revealed this combination phrase, 'God's anger and God's fury'. I though it was simply another word/phrase study to study, pray and share. It was not.
Lastly, God revealed, mainly in Ezekiel, yet I know it is another combination throughout Scripture, God sees and knows and is watching our "ways and doings" as a nation, church, families and our own personal walk.
Last night in readings of Gurnall, 'make sure your armour of God is Divine. too much of the church today is trying to defeat Satan and evil with armour that is not Divine but carnal. Our weapons are not Divine, but carnal; thus we are not able to pull down the strongholds and defeat our Lord's enemy.
1. What's At Stake?
Eternity is at stake. This is the supreme issue of our day. So many souls, over 80% of our population are hell bound right now. The sorrow of this does not break me near enough. Tearless, not broken nor contrite for the revealing of this eternal plight. this is the reason, that I believe the Spirit impressed me to pray for these 3 things in my life for the new year:
1. Holy in all my ways, in all my times;
2. Broken and contrite on these revealed things that break God's heart;
3. Not to have a prayer meeting without tears. Not phony, self-taught tear, but geniune tears of joy and sorrow; of love and horror for what shall be and what is;
Our future is at stake. As I have shared with those that have asked. Within the next decade, we are on the crisp of the Gentile age, the age of the church, coming to and end. According to Matthew 24, 'and when the Gospel shall be presented to the nations, then the end shall be.' End of time? No End of what then? End of the age. Gearing up for the last days of prophecy - tribulation and great tribulation.
And many have tried ot answer and discuss on why the US is not clearly spoken of in prophecy. Well, the possibility of these things that I am sharing, is that we will not be around. The plight of the US is so dire, and the phrase in Scripture where God says, 'I will remove you and all yours from the earth.' may be our epitaph. All our abominations continue to fill the cup of wrath which I believe is getting ready to be poured out on us.
so what's at stake? Everything. How desperate should we be!. How much more emphatic of these things!! Ah, brethren. Consider these things.
2. What's God going to do?
Well, God has been doing it. God has been judging us. We called them judgements, warning shots over the bow. Our sin and evil increased, our service to the Lord lessened, holiness is hard to find and God's anger and fury swells up as a dam getting ready to break upon the cities, homes, souls and land. If anything, the California fires and the floods of the east this past year should give us the perfect illustration of our plight when God's wrath goes forth consuming everything in its wake.
3. Why is God going to do this?
God Almighty is provoked by our nations ways and doings; and God Almighty is provoked by His churches lack of ways and doings in light of these things.
Here is the list of these things that provoke Him through our 'ways and doings":
--homicides put blood on the streets, in the homes each day; 'blood cries out to God for vengeance';
--abortion continues to murder 1 million a year in our nation; God will judge us for this evil of almost 50 years;
--1st Senator ever to enter the halls of the Senate as an openly bi-sexual; refused to place hand on Bible;
--cities here in WV cotninue to go city to city in their councils to pass laws fining Christians and allow any bathroom use by any one; void the gender and descency; Perversion and pure evil;
--laws deepening the hold of addiction; alcohol is more deadly than drugs, yet drugs and alcohols damage is beyond comprehension, both now and long term; He is self destructing us; allowance of it for our evil.
--marriages and home is all but extinct;
--church continues to flop on the shore, like a fish pulled from the water; 'Our weapons are not Divine, but carnal" Ichabod, absence of God; Samson - 'and he wist not that the Lord had departed from him'; The realization of this is missing; mainly because humanism contnues to justify our works and programs and means. Faith and sole dependence on God is a rare thing.
Ways and doing of nation, church, families and our own personal hearts must be examined. 'Please God'? or 'please self'? Death to self; or dead in sin? We can't have it both ways, one way or the other. Our ways and doings, He sees and knows and holds us to answer. Our response should meet this great need.

1. Holy in all my ways, in all my times;
2. Broken and contrite on these revealed things that break God's heart;
3. Not to have a prayer meeting without tears. Not phony, self-taught tear, but geniune tears of joy and sorrow; of love and horror for what shall be and what is;
Our future is at stake. As I have shared with those that have asked. Within the next decade, we are on the crisp of the Gentile age, the age of the church, coming to and end.
