Greetings,
"And I will raise Me up a faithful priest, that shall do according to that which is in Mine heart and Mine mind: and I will build him a sure house; and he shall walk before Mine anointed for ever."
Samuel was a special man that God raised up and used for 'such a time as this'. God is always looking for men and women that walk with Him and that they seek and pursue till they find, the "mind & heart of God'. More so than ever, it is needful to find such praying saints that pray and know the heart & mind of the Lord. IT is easy to find men and women that have their own hearts and minds; but such a rare thing to find the one who has been alone with the Lord and they know His mind and heart.
A couple things to share out of this verse that speaks to me:
1. "I will raise Me up a faithful priest" God does this; for it is God's purpose. God knows all things. He sees past, present and future. God always has His remnant (TW Hunt); and God always has His man. God keeps men faithful to Him. ONly the unfaithfulness is from my heart, and my mind. God raises men up for His purposes. In Revelation God speaks and reveals that we are made to kings and priests for His kingdom, in His service under His authority. You and I that are saved and raised up for such a time as this are eternally grateful that He has seen fit, to give us breath/life; to give us redemption/salvation and made us to be His'. And how much more to allow us the opportunity to advance His kingdom here on earth as it is in heaven. Blessed be His faithful ways and Name. Now may we examine our ways to make sure that as He is faithful, so we too are faithful. 'hating even the garment spotted by the flesh'.
2. that shall do according to My heart & My mind the whole purpose in me doing 'The Activity of God in the bible" is for this sole purpose. It is to know the mind and heart of God. To know His Names, His attributes, His deeds, His works, His will, His ways, His promises; it is to know the God of the Word and Word of God. And the one who seeks to know God, will pray and do His mind & His heart. God said of David, "I have found Me a man after My Own heart." You and I are supposed to be doing according to His heart and His mind. That means forsaking the mind of men and of our our own selves. Is not the sin in the Christian because they have forsaken the mind and heart of God for the mind & heart of self? And herein is the battle. 'the flesh and the Spirit are always contrary the one to the other'.
But in the prayer chamber, it is the number one priority to pray and speak of the things on God's heart and mind and not ours'. Yes, we come in to the prayer closet with many things on our hearts and minds. And it is not that the Lord does not know these things. For He hath given us a promise, 'cast your cares upon me, for I care for you.' These things on our hearts and minds are important, but how much more for the saint are the things on our Heavenly Fathers' heart & mind rather than the things on ours'.
There are many that will pray and think about things before God. There is much on their minds and hearts; but they never seek to ask God what's on His mind & heart. It is so evident for the saint, for the church when they are at one with God in these things. There is such a Divine spirit about them and in them. God is revealing what's on His mind & heart and may we have the good counsel of the Spirit to discern, know and pray these revealed things. And when they are not revealed, we simply wait before Him in patience and faith. Always trusting, 'Thy will be done.'
3. I will build him a sure house and he shall walk before Mine anointed for ever - two I will's of God in this verse alone, in regards to Samuel; but also a promise to each of His anointed. God raises us up; God makes us to be faithful priest and kings for His kingdom; God reveals His heart and mind to the souls that seeks Him with all his heart and mind; God build a sure house; God has promised that we shall be with Him and His anointed ones forever (John 14:1 -6)
The relationship of 'walk' is referenced here in this verse. Christ walks among His golden candlesticks. He never leaves us nor forsake us. but in all the men of God, we read that 'they walked with God.' It is our great peace and rejoicing that God walks with us in this life. But what about our walk with God? How much we need to talk about this, share with another about this; let iron sharpen iron. We are getting ready to close out this year, is your walk with the Lord for 10 months been blessed and holy. Or has your walk been hard and broken? Have you been faithful? Has it been close to Him or apart from Him? Examine your walk and testify of the truth of it and seek to improve and better your walk with Him. This is done by abiding in Him and giving much time to the things about Him and the things on His heart and mind.
EPIDEMICS
1 Drugs - This epidemic is turning into the extended arm of Satan himself for our demise, judgement, death and destruction. 3 more states legalized recreational use of drugs; over the counter sales in Walmart now for Narctan; and the message given is 'we can't stop it; so lets legalize it' The forward progression of Colorado is now in a slow creep to see all 50 states legalize it; sales, manufacturing and use to destroy lives and create a drug infused society. Perhaps we are already. Nine out of 50, 1/5, and it will grow. God allows for our own destruction because we will not obey and follow Him.
2. Cancer - multiple answers to prayers through surgeries and recovery for my list of 14; but I continue to hear of those being diagnosed, treatments and other related as this affects so many. How extreme is this as I view our nation. Not one church without someone on their prayer lists; not one family that hasn't walked through this. Is this the 'botch' mentioned in Deuternomy 28 under the curses section? or is there a greater plague of pestilence to come? We shall see.
3. Great Evil - 1st school shooting last week; PA jewish temple shooting 2 weeks ago; now CA shooting, probably murder-suicide; our community, a high school student committed suicide two days ago; the evil of men's minds and hearts is the difference from the above Scripture to the happenings of our nation. Numbers are accelerating right now. And all calls to stand up and stop this advance go unheeded by church leaders. Prayers are always offered after the crisis, but no issue of preventive prayers before the crisis.
4. LGBT - first openly gay governor elected; their continued advance may seem insignaicant, but they continue to chisel away at any remaining morality or Christian truths in our society; only a matter of time as they continue with their advancements till the dam breaks and evil flood society; already close to this, as they have infected an entire teenage generation with acceptance, participation, and those that have 'sampled' it.
5. Children -
6. Natural Disasters - for the first time in weeks, earthquakes went under 100 (7day-4.5 magn) but then right back up; even though no 7.0 still expecting this month;
Note: two Muslim women were elected to congress. This is the beginning, that just as Muslims infiltrated Europe government to swing it to Islamic state, so they will seek to do so here. Two may not bother you, but it will become 200 quickly; and then it will be a majority.
