CALL TO PRAYER FOR THE CHURCH & INDIVIDUAL CHRISTIAN

A Serious Call to prayer for the North American church and for each individaul Christian; so as to prevail for the power of God to fulfill and complete His purpose and Divine will upon the generations and the nations/people.

April, 2017

Greetings,
Over the years, of the Lord doing a work within me to call me to prayer and teach me of prayer; I have made many an attempt to beg of church and prayer leaders to adopt, formulate, and coordinate some sort of  a 'Call to Prayer'.  We have read of the prayer movement in days gone by and how God breathed on those feeble attempts but out of it came great glory and honor unto our Lord through the prevailing of prayer by God's people.  Why can we not have this in our day??

I am suggesting the following points to consider, apply and fulfill by the church in North America and each individual Christian so as to prevail for the outpouring of God's Holy Spirit upon His people.  We have seen an heightened increase of the activity of the prayer movement in recent years, mainly, due to the fear of President Obama and the surge of evil through legislation and judicial edicts.  But as President Trump won, I have seen an immediate decrease in calls to prayer.  I believe this to be, because we feel safe for now and are in no immediate danger of laws against our religious freedom or advancement of evil practices.  But I would say, that is a false peace and safety.  For I believe that the increase of remedial judgments, continued judicial and state legislation are all advancements of evil in our nation that will affect our next generation.

May the emphasis of God's kingdom and agenda move us to seek Him.  May we understand that without the enduement of the power of the Holy Ghost we can to nothing against such evil or onslaught.  May we be moved by Esther 8:6, "For how can I endure to see the evil that shall come unto my people? or how can I endure to see the destruction of my kindred?"  Are you prepared to call for prayer after a major catastrophe strikes our nation?  Are you prepared to allow whatever evil to decimate our nation and see scores of 10,000's of people ushered out into eternity?  Is your family all ready for eternity? is your streets and cities ready for eternity?

Out of 330 million population in the US, it is estimated that less than 10% are born again Christians.  (some estimate that it is closer to 5%).  That is 33 million ready to meet God and hear 'Well done';  but that is just under 300 million that will hear 'Depart from Me, I never knew you'.   This is not acceptable.  And if it is only 5 % the numbers, this is even more atrocious.  We are accountable for this and we will answer for this.  But yet we know that if we prevail in prayer; God, in the power of His might can rescue and save 1/2 the population in a matter of weeks or months.  He is able.

Therefore, brethren, consider the following suggestions to adopt:
1.  the first Monday of the month that there be a day of fasting and mourning by the remnant for our nation, the church, the lost and our own frailty in the Spirit;  A day of fasting from food and/or water for the day.  And although this is only a suggestion, may it be considered by the corporate body to apply and adhere too.  Knowing that the command of fasting is largely undone by the church in North America today.  However, we know the Scriptures, 'this kind can come forth by no other means that prayer and fasting'.

2.  there must be a resolve to incorporate corporate prayer by the church;  These corporate seasons of prayer should be at least once a week; but if that is not possible at least twice a month.  Prayer to be given specifically for worship/praise, confession of national, church, family and individual sins, and pleading for mercy in this time of wrath.

Such corporate prayer times by the remnant, by the local church, or once a month of regional churches coming together.

3.  As mentioned above, most do not see the urgency of the hour.  I believe it to be most urgent to show just how close we are to judgment, judgment that advances further beyond the remedial judgments we are under as a nation and the church.  To see the destruction of family, to see the hastening of eternity upon the masses steamrolling into hell and to know that time is not a luxury but is fading quickly.

4.  It is the necessity of the church, of individual Christians and especially the remnant that recognizes these things to renew their surrender, consecrated lives to God and to live holy before Him so as to prevail.    The call for holiness must be emphasized again of clear teaching and predominance of what our Lord demands and requires of His people.  The half-hearted, carnal, unbelieving Christianity of our day cannot prevail for this hour of need.

These are only suggestions of which I would hope that leaders, pastors and individual Christians would agree to and sign on to.  Knowing that the hour is late, and the need is even greater.  While there is time, while there is today, let us be before Him so as to prevail for His Name sake.  For soon time will be gone and we will be pleading in utter chaos, doom and misery; knowing that we missed the moment from a simple letter of suggestions as this.  I pray that would not be true of us.  Set it into motion, this day, each month, each week be intentional on prevailing prayer for the outpouring of God's Spirit upon His church once again.

until,
dan biser
