Great Questions of the Bible
March, 2016
After reading the Bible through 42 times, there is a consistent theme that stands out. Some of these are words, some are phrases; and each of these are very important in teaching, leading and directing us into a right walk with the LOrd and for the Lord. One of these studies is the questions of the bible. There has been so much given to us in questions to teach us and cause us to examine what the Lord would have us do. The following are a reference of the Scripture and a devotional/commentary of the questions which should provoke us to more about and for Jesus.
Genesis
The first two questions in the Bible are very important. Both are a 'putting forth' of that which should be and is.
First, the first question in the Bible is from Satan to Eve.
Genesis 3:1 'And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?'
Satan poses a question to direct the response of sin. His tactics have not changed at all.
Genesis 3:9, 'And the Lord God called unto Adam, and said unto him, Where art thou?'
The second question in the Bible is from the Lord.
JUDGES
Judges 18:18, 'What do ye?'
word study, do; in other words, What are you doing? A needful question which needs to be asked often. What am I doing? Is it for the Lord, or for myself? What are you doing? Bringing glory to God, or to yourself? What is the church doing? Are we growing in grace and knowledge of our Lord? or sinking away from His ways? What is our nation doing?
Judges 18:23, 24, 'What aileth thee?'
