"Gather My saints together unto Me; those that have made a covenant with Me by sacrifice."
Psalm 50:5
The urgency of prayer
How often in conversation I ask or make mention for a call to prayer to be initated and promoted. And almost immediately the response comes, "But we are praying". Oh, how I love to examine that response. "You are praying? Tell me about it. What was your last prayer time like?"
They reply, "Well, I met God. I asked for. ... I prayed for . . ."
"How long did it last?"
"A while. A couple of minutes."
"At least a half hour?" I ask.
"No, probably 15 minutes."
Asking, scrutinizing, dealing with the reality of the situation, 'what is your praying like?' We find out, real quick when pressing the issue about the individuals prayer life. How long? HOw often? How deep? Do you weep? Who's it about? How much worship, adoration, longing after God? HOw much burden do you carry? all these things reveal the level of the prayer life.
then we turn to ask these that attest, 'I am praying'. Tell me about your church prayer life? How often do they meet? Is there a place given for prayer? How many come to that? What is the percentage of praying people compared to your membership? compared to your attendance on Sunday morning?
I won't mention the name of the church or the praying saint in this following example. A church that ran several thousand in their morning worship service. I would imagine, but not certain that they had over 5000 membership. They had a precious saint that was well known for his prayer life and deep writings. A saint, a true man of God that walked with God. And in their prayer meeting, that was given time and place to meet with God on Wednesday night, they would average 15 - 20. Most of them good friends with this saint. Out of 1,000's, a couple dozen in prayer.
Dare we call this paticular church, 'a house of prayer'? Do we call them a praying people? Can we see how far out of balance the church is on the issue, spiritual disciplines of prayer? Or do we suppose to jusitfy it all with the quick answer, 'But we are praying'.
Now in the midst of tragedy, no one has to be told to pray. They have learned long ago, that there is a God and that He has and can help in times of trouble and need. They don't have to be convinced or compelled to pray after the tragedy. But, oh, isn't it the opposite, of trying to get men to pray before the tragedy. 'Don't you see the judgments?'; 'Don't you see the plagues happening now?'; 'Don't you know the Scriptures have revealed all this?' 'Shouldn't we be calling for a prayer meeting?' And the look returned is the answer, 'NO. Let's wait and see if it works itself out.' is the answer. Almost as if to say, 'No sense in pushing the panic button.'
But we are way beyond that now. The events of life in motion in our nation right now are urgent and compelling. It is simply whether men have eyes to see and hearts to discern.
I recently went to the Southern Baptist convention and made a motion for an immediate call to prayer corporately for mercy upon this nation and the church. OUr SBC is a sinking denomination because prayer has been left off along time ago. This motion was ruled out order. That there was time already in the two day convention for prayer. Now following my motion, there was another motion that prayer should be made for Billy Graham. Immediately, the president stopped the convention and the business session and made time to have prayer for Billy Graham. My reply - I don't think Billy Graham has much to worry about in dying and meeting God, but I am quite certain that 250 million out of 300 million souls in this nation do. How is it, that time can be given to pray for Billy Grahm; but a nation, a church under judgment from and by God does not take priority to make time at some point to pray corporately?
Following that rejection of a call to prayer, on my way home. I was in Arkansas. And the morning paper provided by the hotel had these two headlines that caught my attention. "Severe drought covering 83.5% of parched state"; and 'Flood exits Duluth, hits other areas" Drought in over 3/4 of Arkansas; historical record rainfall in Minnesota; record wildfires in Colorade and Utah; insect invasion in bees in New York, crickets in Austin, TX; murder-suicides at alarming rate; suicides at record levels in the armed forces and among teenagers. The judgments from the Bible are upon this land, need I say it again, in record proportions.
You see the tragedies are happening. The plagues are on us, now. But the response of prayer is limited and not heeded by God's Own people.

MOTION TO THE SBC 2012
NAME: Dan Biser June
19, 2012
Messenger: Zoar Baptist Church,
Potomac Highland Baptist Association; West Virginia Convention of Southern
Baptists;
Pastor of Zoar Baptist Church,
August, WV and Fox’s Hollow Baptist Church, Romney, WV;
Organizer of Broken Before the Throne
– http://www.brokenbeforethethrone.com
I wasn’t
coming to the convention. But then the
circuit court of California ruled that they would no longer hear any arguments
about Proposition 8. Another court ruled
that DOMA (Defense of Marriage Amendment) was unconstitutional. Thus, certifying that the issue of marriage
between a man and a woman would come before the Supreme Court.
I
immediately sent out correspondence, imploring SBC leadership, pastors, and SBC
entity leaders, and seminary presidents issue an ‘immediate Call to Prayer’. Phone calls and emails to the ERLC were made,
and were never returned. And in being
pressed in my spirit to see something done, “Lord, what would You have me do?”
I had other
prayer partners and intercessors praying for me. And in doing my daily blog
devotional/commentary I was in Isaiah 19:12, “Where are they? Where are thy
wise men? And let them tell thee now, and let them know what the Lord of hosts
hath purposed upon Egypt.”
“Let them know what the Lord of hosts hath
purposed”
Then, I knew
I was to come and speak to you with a heart desire that we seek for His
mercy. And then I asked, ‘Lord, what are
you purposing to do?’
Last year,
2011, we saw the judgments of God in record proportions across this
nation. These weather judgments were of
drought, fires, floods, temperatures and storms with tornadoes. There was much tragic loss of life and
destruction of property. I pleaded with
you in 2010 for a call for Solemn Assemblies.
It was rejected.
“And if ye will not yet for all this
hearken unto Me, then I will punish you seven times more for your sins.”
Leviticus 26:18
Since last
fall of 2011, murder-suicides have been weekly across this nation in our
headlines. Things which we never heard
of, in such horrifying conditions of whole families removed. And just recently, stats reveal that among
teenagers in our country, suicide is at record rates. Our armed forces are seeing, suicide among
the troops at record rates. We are being
removed from the earth for our sins against the Lord.
Now let me share
with you two portions of Scriptures for what the Lord is purposing and make a
motion for your response:
Jeremiah 15:1 -7, “Then said the Lord
unto me, Though Moses and Samuel stood before Me, yet My mind could not be toward
this people: cast them out of My sight,
and let them go forth. V. 2 And it shall come to pass, if they say unto thee,
Whither shall we go forth? Then thou shalt tell them, Thus saith the Lord; Such
as are for death, to death; and such as are for the sword, to the sword; and
such as are for the famine, to the famine; and such as are for the captivity,
to the captivity. V. 3 And I will appoint over them four kinds, saith the Lord:
the sword to slay, and the dogs to tear, and the fowls of the heaven, and the
beasts of the earth, to devour and destroy. V. 4 And I will cause them to be
removed into all kingdoms of the earth, because of Manasseh the son of Hezekiah
king of Judah, for that which he did in Jerusalem. V. 5 For who shall have pity
upon thee, O Jerusalem? Or who shall bemoan thee? Or who shall go aside to ask
how thou doest? V. 6 Thou hast forsaken Me, saith the Lord, thou art gone
backward: therefore will I stretch out
My hand against thee, and destroy thee; I am weary with repenting. V. 7 And I
will fan them with a fan in the gates of the land: I will bereave them of children, I will
destroy My people, since they return not from their ways.”
Do you hear
what He is going to do for our sins of abortion, and now possibly homosexuality
and our disobedience and love of self and sin?
It will be the death of our children and grandchildren. We cannot afford to wait any longer.
And one
other verse of what God is purposing:
Ezekiel 14:13, “Son of man, when the
land sinneth against Me by trespassing grievously, then will I stretch out Mind
hand upon it, and will break the staff of the bread thereof, and will send
famine upon it, and will cut off man and beast from it:”
We have
sinned in trespassing grievously as a nation and as the church! We have provoked the Lord God to anger! We have allowed for this nation to be swept
away by a ‘refuge of lies’ from hell!
There must be an urgency upon us for what we have done and what is going
to happen unless we immediately seek Him for mercy!
It is not a
time to debate our name change; it is not a time to be divided and debate over
theological issues of salvation. It is
time to seek the Lord! And for His mercy!
As in 1923, “the
Southern Baptist Convention . . in May of that year. Dr. Love, the Executive
Secretary of the Board, reported to the convention there were 75 candidates to
go, but the Board did not have funds to send anyone. The news shocked the
entire convention. . . The strongest leaders, such as Dr. George W. Truett and Dr.
Gambrell and Dr. E Y Mullins” called for immediate prayer and a motion was made
to respond to this urgent need.
I come
before you now with an urgent need for 250 million souls in North America, lost
and without Christ, out of 300 million. I come before you for 5 billion souls
in this earth out of 7 billion without Christ.
Therefore, I
move that this body, an arm of the body of the Lord Jesus Christ, make time
today, or at the first available opportunity to seek God for mercy,
corporately. This convention is only two
days that we are together. And at such a
time as this, we need to respond immediately.
Before our state conventions, associations, regions and local churches
return to their autonomy. May we not
only corporately cry to God ‘in wrath remember mercy’ O Lord, but may you do it
at home before it is too late.
Humbly,
Until,
Dan Biser
And as 1973,
Roe vs. Wade, the sin of abortion became the law of the land, so will the
Supreme Court decide the law of the land about marriage. Because of that action in 1973, over 55
million babies have been aborted, in almost 40 years.

THERE'S NO REASON WHY
THERE'S NO REASON WHY
6/11/12
There is no reason why other countries shouldn't be allowed the freedom to worship and share and live Christ. Yet, we have amble opportunity in the United States, and use so little of our freedom. And in other places, like Egypt, the new elections have hindered, restricted and threatened the freedom to speak and share Christ.
There is no reason why any person should go to hell. How simply the choice is to us as believers, choose Christ and live. Reject Christ and die and spend eternity in hell. Yet, we contemplate why any soul would choose to go to hell.
There is no reason why families shouldn't stay together. All the separations, all the divorces, all the broken relationships, what does all this come from? Why can't they exist together in love, unity and service? Pride, lusts, vanity, and love of self hinders any of the components of family to exist and survive.
There is no reason why we should see God move in powerful ways. we know that there is no limit to God. There is no shortness in His mighty hand or listening ear; but our sin have hindered and quenched His desire to work for us and through us.
There's no reason why. . . .
In all these things we see the evidence of a power from hell that works to undo that which God intended for His creation. It is to find that reason that hinders, that damns, that destroys, that takes away from God. And once we find it, we know it must be destroyed. There should be nothing in our life to keep us from God. Satan's devices are at work. It is needful for the church to recognize these things and pray against them.

WHERE ARE YOU NOW CHURCH?
rough draft - not a thesis - not theology - just an appeal to see and understand where we are and what's going on
June, 2012
I cannot believe how fast our nation is moving to destruction. In the last year alone, numerous headlines of death, filled with murder-suicides in record number; horrific acts of immorality and other sinful headlines that continues to erode any shred of decency in our land. Drugs and alcohol have continued to destroy lives, families and thrown billions of dollars away on consumption and waste. Families, meaning traditional families, are almost removed from existence. Suicides are at record rate with young people and soldiers. And while many have looked for answers to correct this free fall from morality and our very existence; the one people, the church, who could do something about it, has not and will not do anything about it.
Where are you church? You have the power of God to change lives, families, communities and yes, a nation and the world, where are you?
I can rehearse the many accounts of old, dead saints and their writings against their times. They saw sin, they saw immorality, they saw evil prevail. And yet, God gave the promise, 'Upon you, Peter, I will build my church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.' But to look at the current conditions of our land, hell is prevailing. God is still God and He will prevail we know. But souls are dying in sin and their eternity is hastening on. At every venue, the church is weak and powerless to correct the assault of darkness and hell. Such times have been of old. And God corrected with REVIVAL and/or judgment. God restored the rightness of His ways to His creation and He will do so again. This all happened because they had abandoned His way; they had rejected His standards and evil had been allowed to prevail. Many are now saying and relying that revival is our only hope.
Revival is not the several days of meetings by a church with a special speaker coming in. That is the common associated terminology. Revival is God! In all His fullness coming into a place and changing it into His likeness. The Hebrides revival of 1949, changed whole hamlets and villages, where the presence of God was so evident in such powerful mighty ways. The Canadian Revival of 1971 - 1972, spread throughout the provinces and even down into the northern tier of the US. These movements are the most recent. I could easily site the Great Awakenings and their impact on the nation. But in 1904- 1905, the Welsh Revival went global to many nations with the impact of God upon their lives and way of life. For all purposes of our current condition, a global revival is the most needed.
Revival is that which comes to God's people, the church. The church in North America is so desperately in need of revival. When I ask the question of where the church is, I remember Bonar's comment: "I looked for the church and found it in the world; I looked for the world and found it in the church." And after 150 years, since this Scotsman made this comment, it is true of us today in the US. What has led us here is not the one step decision that turned us away but many steps away from God with numerous decisions.
These decisions are political and spiritual decisions working congruently toward the promotion of Satan's desire. His desire is to undo anything that brings glory to God. And he works in and through the systems of nations, people and situations to achieve his desired end. We see historically the failure of the church and politics to curb several devices of Satan that allowed for a great tolerance of sin and iniquity among the people. Two such instances of this was 1933, following the 'Great Depression' (or should I say, in the midst of the great depression); and 1973, Roe vs. Wade. This two events in our nation over the last 100 years, has opened the flood gates to much grievous, offensive sin to provoke God. Look at the damage of alcohol upon our nation. How many deaths? How much money thrown away? How many lives, marriages and families ruined? How much time used up to waste on its consumption and 'paryting'? Give thought to the answers to these questions. And understand the connection between that step and decision and the drug culture that followed afterward. One door opened the other door.
Then turn and see the abortion ruling by the Supreme Court in 1973. Look at how much innocent blood has been spilt on the ground that we have to answer for before God. God declares in the Old Testament that murdered men, their blood must be answered and atoned for. (Deuteronomy 19:10) And the innocent blood is just as accountable. Manasseh shed the blood of the people for no reason that his own desire. And God declared that years after his death, the land was still polluted by his acts of murder. The blood was still upon them. Judgment fell on Judah because of his acts and the rebellion of Judah to do anything about it. I could very easily make the argument of our national choices, sins and war and judgments. But I pray you can follow the steps to where all this is headed.
For example: In the 1950's and 60's, rock music and worldly things became so influencing on our way of life. The techno advance of TV, radio and movies influencing lives, choices and patterns. Out of this came a mood of rebellion, sexual revolution, pressing more time for entertainment and gave God less time became a way of life. The influence of the drug culture was given an open door by these events set into motion. The young people wanted a choice of their own to do what they wanted and not what was established. Fornication, lusts, and the onslaught of every thing indecent came from these coupled steps together. Sin has always been present, but the influx and spread of the younger generation became more prevalent it seems. And as they garnered steam, we see 40 years down the road our excess of flesh, lusts, porn, and carnal ways of living daily. Not just in the world, but in the church. Cause and effect - reap what you have sown.
And now we come to this day and age, that has allowed for the sin of homosexuality to grace itself into the political, social and religious circles. This sin has always been. We know the historical accounts of Sodom and Gomorrah; the edict in Romans 1; the practices of the Roman Empire and the other civilizations that only sought to 'do wickedly continaully'. God meets every choice and decision to live counter to His ways. And every person, family, city, and nation/empire and civilization that has sought their own fleshly, sinful ways has been destroyed and removed. To think that our nation is any different is short-sighted and blinded to the reality of Who God is and what God does in the affairs of men.
If we really knew the history of our nation, see where we've come and where we are going, surely there would be a voice to say, "STOP! We can't go any further this way. We must return to God. WE must repent. WE must seek His face and mercy. We must have revival!" And that voice should be from God's Own people. But where is the voice? Where are you church? Where is the united front of God's people saying, 'Enough'?
In recent months, again all within this last year, I have sat amazed at the course of decisions and activity of my own Southern Baptist.
--First, there was the name change. Yes, they believed a priority was needed to be more relevant and have a name change that isn't so offensive. Really?? Of all the issues at hand, all the choices that could be made; we had to revolve around that one to occupy time, energy, money and position?
--Secondly, then this undertow of division between reformed Calvinism, Calvinists and Armenians. My! what a war of words. Again, the exercise of time spent on thought, energy, money and debating over one's own choice of theology. Can you not see, how Satan laughs? How this was his ploy all along? To occupy our thoughts and intents with being divisive among ourselves to keep us from the 'prize of our high calling?'
In William Gurnall's book, 'The Christian in Complete Armour', he sets before the reader to understand the ways of Satan. Know your enemy, as the old adage goes. His tricks, his devices, his ploys, his lies, his deceptions all running for one purpose, counter to that of our Holy God. And while a world perishes to hell, he keeps us preoccupied and busy with our own vanity and pride. Over 7 billion souls on the face of the planet currently, heading to eternity. One billion children, estimated of course, not at the age of accountability. And supposedly one billion Christians in faith. This leaves 5 billion souls to perish. Does it sound like the church is prevailing? Does it sound like the gates of hell shall not prevail against the church? Where are you church?
The two remedies that could restore us is removed from our midst by the majority of the church; the two remedies are: the Word of God and prayer.
I have argued continually to demonstrate that this generation has abandoned the Word of God. Recently, I had a woman that was challenged by me to read her Bible through from Genesis to Revelation. She testified that in her many years of being a Christian and in church, she had never read it all the way through. but was shocked to find that in Christian pastors in Jerusalem, that they had never read the Bible through all the way either. Many of these pastors, theologians who are raged in arguing their point of view, have never read the Bible through. Or if they do read it through, it is for their own vanity of choice in doctrine. Thus, they cannot be fed from it, for their intent is to use the Word of God for their own course, instead of God's. Where are you church?
The Word of God in its power is largely void in the pulpits, minds and hearts of the church. They do not know enough of the Word to keep them from sin, or to grant them a knowledge about how great our God is. And with that vacancy in their mind and heart, what has it been filled with? Men's words, worldly systems, organization, business means and obedience to the things established by hell. We don't even know why we are doing what we are doing. Tradition, orthodoxy and religion is our means of service. None of those things are wrong, so long as the Spirit of God is breathing upon them and in them. But if the Spirit is absent, then they are play toys of the devil to accomplish is priority.
The other thing left off that could be our refuge is - PRAYER. How corrupt are we in not knowing the power of prayer! Of all the instances of great saints, great verses in the Bible, great events that demonstrate the power of prayer, we lack any resemblance to these. The church is honest enough to confess, that prayer is largely removed from their 'house of prayer'. The confession of this is one thing, the repentance of it is another. They acknowledge that they should pray, they ought to have prayer meetings, they should do it more in their secret closets. But that is as far as it goes. They never repent, and never begin to pray. For some reason they justify their conviction of this sin and confession as enough to satisfy God. But God says, 'I look for a man'. God says, 'If My people. . .'; God says, 'MY eyes run to and fro to find a people so that I might show Myself mighty. . ." Where are you church?
Needless to say, with the Biblical examples of Manasseh, Josiah, Judah, Israel; the historical examples of Sodom, Israel, Rome, Babylon; and the political examples of courts, presidents, congress and voting, we are coming to the point of crossing that line of no return. The allowance of homosexuality in this nation will finish us. I know many are saying that we have already crossed that line. Again, I'm not here to debate every little point. Too many give themselves to that anyway. I'm here to demonstrate the significance of how late it is. Our time is rapidly eroding away. Judgment is coming, God will be glorified. Where are you church?
Church?? Where are you??
"It is time to seek the Lord"
'Return unto Me, and I will return unto you'
'Repent and do your first works'
'I would you were cold or hot, but because you are lukewarm I will spew you out of My mouth'
O church, please, understand what Satan has done to us. Understand the events of life and history. Understand the power that exists within us through His Word and prayer. And agree to exercise both, personally and publicly these two things of prayer and the Word of God.
With tears I close this appeal. . . .O church where are you??
I need you; my family needs you; my neighbors need you; my friends need you; this nation needs you; and the world needs you.
Satan has kept you occupied long enough with fighting yourself, dividing yourself. But remember God is not divided, 3 in 1. Unity is of God, division is of hell. Satan chose to divide himself from God; and now he seeks to make you follow after Him. Let us look unto Jesus and be one with Him and each other.

URGENT CALL TO PRAYER 6/5/12
June, 2012
Greetings,
And I do not
bring ‘good greetings’, just simply ‘salutations’, brothers. We are in a mess. Most will agree, that very little of the
power of God is being sought for, to counter the full out assault of hell and
its evil upon our nation, churches, families and individual souls. Never have we seen so much corruption in
headlines, in pews, in pulpits, in crisis and so little ability to do anything
about it. We know there is a power,
there is God! and ‘He is able to do abundantly above all that we ask or think’.
I thought I
was done with Broken Before the Throne.
I had no inclination nor plans to do any more. But God has spoken, and I know that Voice
that drives me, and I cannot let it lie.
I have no peace in my soul, when I wrestle with obedience, I must
respond. Broken Before the Throne is a
prayer time, not per se, a conference.
The preaching of the Word and real prayer time offered over the state of
our nation, church, and families. A time
of prayer made up of confession, pleading, adoration and anguish for His favor
in revival.
The Supreme
Court, it seems, will decide the fate of our nation over the gay marriage
debate. It is almost 40 years since Roe
vs. Wade, this allowed the sin of innocent blood to cover our land. We have to answer for this blood in our
generation. I would think, that all of
us would be agreed we cannot bear, nor would God permit us to stand as a nation
if homosexuality is legalized in this land and traditional marriage thrown
out. What are we to do?
We are to do
what they did in the book of Acts; what they did in every occurrence of
persecution; what they did in times of such evil – THEY PRAYED! They came together for they knew that there
was no power left in their means and methods; there was no power in their
organization; there was no power in their education; there was only the power
of God. God seeks for a man, God waits
for us to do what we should have been doing all along. How did we get here?
We left off
our first love. We silenced the prayer
meeting. We abandoned holiness and
righteousness. We failed God in our ways
of worship. Now let us seek and find His
mercy. Let us cry out to Him, ‘In wrath
remember mercy’. Here is a week of
prayer to prevail with God together; yes, praying in our closets, on our own,
whenever and wherever time permits. But
this one week we have together. We are
out of time. We cannot let this happen
on our watch!
Promote this
time, pray, invite, participate and prevail for the sake of His great
Name. Any future we have, will be
decided by how we prayed today. My
children, and their future; your children and grandchildren will be decided by
what we do on our knees. We cannot
afford to not prevail – WE MUST PREVAIL!
Speakers: Richard Owen Roberts; Don Miller; Ron Auch;
James Pool and Al Whittinghill;
Scheduled
for 7 days – 15 sessions. Allowing time
to be still and know God; and to wait before Him.
Until,
Dan Biser

TW Hunt; and 3. Wesley Duewel praying for me to be Spirit filled and used of God; These are Divine moments to me.
--seeking to stretch my time out for more of God; current prayer patterns of the prayer notebook stay the same; over 100 lost souls; 30 marriages; two church families; my family; worship; and then other saints and minisries; but longing to be more still in His Prsence and not so much to speak but listen and adore;
--And if you look at how many prayer times I have with ministers and churches through the week; the secret closet must be richer and fuller for these to be impacted; not less but more, leaving no time for myself or satan to find me slothful and allow sin to enter in;
--deep impact of prayer for US with this escalation of homosexuality and attack on marriage; it will all come to a head this fall in elections and Supreme Court ruling; it will either makes us or break us for judgment then revival or revival before judgement comes to consume us; I am convinced of this now.
--much more time given to the ways of Satan to destroy and keep souls captive; sins of demonic workings is more evident; much more needed power to thwart his devices of consuming families, churches, lives and our nation; somebody must fight
--praying much more to see the evidence of Holy Ghost power in conviction and conversion; evidence of His power to set captives free and save souls completely;

Two new books from WElsey Duewel - ''God's Power is for You'; "More God More Power"
Finishing up 'the calloused knees' about JOhn Smith, last few pages of his death and how he lived and died in victory through prayer; what a blessed book this has been;

Thank you so much for your prayers and support. EAch day brings us closer to Him, face to face. And I am left with a driving urgency that RAvenhill said, '5 seconds inside of eternity we all wish we would have prayed more, wept more, served more' I don't want that. I desire to spend and be spent for His glory. Oh, how much is needed in this hour for Holy Ghost power. And I aim to see it through labor of prayer on my knees.
