Profane - Pervert - Provoke
Profane - "And ye shall not swear by my name falsely, neither shalt thou profane the name of thy God: I am the Lord." Leviticus 19:12
Pervert - "For thou hast trusted in thy wickedness: thou hast said, None seeth me. Thy wisdom and thy knowledge, it hath perverted thee; and thou hast said in thine heart, I am, and none else beside me." Isaiah 47:10
"A voice was heard upon the high places, weeping and supplications of the children of Israel: for they have perverted their way, and they have forgotten the Lord their God." Jeremiah 3:21
"And the burden of the Lord shall ye mention no more: for every man's word shall be his burden; for ye have perverted the words of the living God, of the Lord of hosts our God." Jeremiah 23:36
Provoke - "When thou shalt beget children, and children's children, and ye shall have remained long in the land, and shall corrupt yourselves, and make a graven image, or the likeness of any thing, and shall do evil in the sight of the Lord thy God, to provoke him to anger:" Deuteronomy 4:25
"They provoked him to jealousy with strange gods, with abominations provoked they him to anger." Deuteronomy 32:16
It is a consistent status of nations and men that these 3 things were done and practiced; they provoked, perverted and profaned the ways of the Lord and His great Name. The practices and lifestyles of many in our nation, families, churches and personal lives are found guilty of repeating the same abominations against the Lord. Let us examine these, note them, repent from them and pray for deliverance from them before it is too late.
The current plight of our nation is that they continue legalize sin and abominations. In 1933, they stopped prohibition and legalized the sale and use of alcohol. One of the most hideous cracks in the dam of evil to flood into our society. Then in 1961, the Supreme Court set the Bible out of the public schools as separation of church and state. Thus allowing for our nation to begin a generation of illeteriate young people of the bible and its truth. In 1973, Roe vs. Wade legalized abortion and has been one of the greatest perversions of rational man kind that an unborn baby is not a living person and kill it. Then in 2013 the legalizing of homosexuality all but destroyed traditional marriage and allows for the great provoking of the Lord God. He has called it an abomination, but they have ruled it is okay. It is a sure course of destruction. And now the great push to hurry up and legalize drug use and other abominations that will finish us off.
Therefore if God does not stop us on this current course of perversion it will lead to the ultimate annhilation of this nation. We will have nothing left of worship, freedom and strength; it will all be removed due to our proking and profaning of His great Name.
