Prayer email - Feb 26

Greetings,
"I will keep Thy statutes; O forsake me not utterly." - Psalm 119:8

I'm left with this most desperate, urgent prayer for our nation and the church.  We hear so many talking about desperate, fervent prayer for revival, but it is a hard thing to find and hear in the prayer meetings.  And many would dismiss this phrase 'forsake me not utterly' by quoting HEbrews 13:5, "I will never leave you nor forsake you".  Yet, we would clearly see the high offence in misquoting and not knowing Scriptures totality on this issues of forsaking.

I shared a few weeks ago the sermon and email on God's promise, 'If you forsake Me, I will forsake you'.  NOt many are willing to deal with this reality and truth of our current plight.  Our nation has forsaken the Lord and all His ways.  They have legalized every abomination that the Lord said He hated.  And we see the judgments and dealings with our land and society because of this truth.

Yet, the church thinks themselves beyond this, a separate marker for the nation and the church.  I see the church not far off from the nations antics.  I see the whole evil of our nation directly related to the powerlessness, lack of pursuit for holiness and prayerlessness of the church as the direct result.

We should understand that the North American church is in great need of this prayer - O forsake me not utterly.  What is the effects of God forsaking us utterly: (see if many of these things are not happening, even now)
--protection of nation from enemies is removed;  remember when Solomon turned from the Lord, how He raised up adversaries;  when Israel & Judah forsook Him, He brought on enemies to afflict and assault;  look at our nations security - China bolstering itself; North Korea continues to rage; ISIS; Russia;
Enemies within - Democrats vs. Republicans; movements of anarchy and anit-government; humanism rather than rely in faith on God; selfish lifestyles garnered from vanity, greed and lusts, all destructive patterns eroding us; greed and materialism absorbing every dollar, minute and drive of nonsense;
-- family members lost;  The great cry of a generation that raised their children & grandchildren in church now filled with lostness and sin.  Rebellious generation against right; indulging and not caring they are sinking into hell.  Scores of 1,000's that were raised in church, departing and forsaking that 'good and right way' for sin.  Made a decision in VBS, baptized, SS, church now a child of the devil because  they are "clouds without water, carried about of winds; trees whose fruit withereth, without fruit, twice dead, plucked up by the roots.  raging waves of the sea, foaming out their own shame; wandering stars, to whom is reserved the blackness of darkness for ever."
A blatant choice of choosing hell, sin and self over heaven, righteousness and God.
--a multiplying factor of perverseness, evil and wickedness;  Have you heard or seen so much in perversion of rape, incest, abuse of children.  Embracing drugs, alcohol, perverted lifestyles that thrust further and further into hell.  A corruption of the fabric of a society.

And it seems to me, the voice and direction of the church does little to see, point this out and recognize it.  Where are you church??

This much is certain, we ought to start to recognize that this truth of God utterly forsaking us is upon us.  And He started it with the church because they forsook Him.  They chose methods & means; gidgets gadgets and gizmos; humanism over holiness.  The church forsook Him and His ways. 

The individual, the remnant cries out the first half of this phrase, 'I will keep Thy statutes'.  Realizing the horror of eternity steamrolling for millions upon billions, they cry out for this.  Knowing their full need is in Him, and upon Him, they have this resolve, "I will keep Thy ways O Lord".  They pray and cry out:
--keep me from falling;
--let no wicked way be found in me;
--keep my mouth from lies and unholy conversation;
--let my hands be clean and pure;

This is the true churches resolve and it comes from no where else but in deep, intimate solace with Him.  They are people of the book; constant in the prayer closet; often gazing and drawing night unto Him.  They die daily, fast oft, tell others about Him, agonize over the sins of self and loved ones.  Pleading with Him for revival, knowing eternity hastens upon us.

Oh, brethren, what a plea to cry, for this is our reality - 'forsake us not utterly'.

News:
--a local church that has a lost man in its pulpit, I set myself to pray him out;  news was shared that he is resigning;  I rejoiced for this churches sake, but unfortunately he is simply moving on to  another church;  wolf in sheep's clothing;
--Public Executions continue; These include schools, military bases, churches, workplaces and on the streets. cops being shot and cops shooting;
Kansas shooting at workplace; 4 dead, multiple wounded;
Son kills family and himself, Phoenix;
--weather; record outbreak of strong storms and tornadoes; record Pacific storm, strongest recorded, near Fiji;
--Zika; cancers; other debilitating diseases;
--missing people are increasing;  reports in numerous areas across US of missing people;  for various reasons, but still unsettling to another judgment and trend of our nation;
--over the last two months, increased reports of more teacher/student sex affairs;  I thought this was over, but the perverted practices continue;  so many childrens innocence and naiveness removed due to authority figures;

For me:
--the Lord has laid a sermon on me for Sunday, Feb. 28 - "Leave ME Alone" - Ex. 32;  this has been pressed sore on me, all week;  my recent means to ustream and upload to Youtube has been quite the ordeal;  pray that tech problems are erased and all goes well;
--continue Thursday night bible studies and leading on prayer here at home; moving to church near or after Easter;

March Prayer Targets - 2016

Considerations to pray for:  world, nation, state, county, city, church, family (families) and our own heart.

World
--revival;
--IMB missionaries abroad; recent changes, and resetting of retirees and opening for new work to be done;
--translations and labors to get the Word of God into the ears and hands for those that can read;
 --7 billion population; 1 billion children under age of accountability; estimated 1 billion followers of Christ; leaving 5 billion lost and on their way to hell;
--pray against evil of ISIS & Boko Haran; 
--bring before the Lord the huge influx and refugee crisis in Europe and other regions due to Syrian/ISIS conflict;
--persecution;
--be aware of calamities of disease; natural disasters; war etc. that requires our prayers to cover them;
--10/40 region to become huge impact of Light into darkness;

Nation
--revival in our land;
--330 million population; less than 30 million estimated following Christ;
--legislation/judicial edicts against our freedoms;  edicts brought forth to provoke and anger the Lord;
--judgments on our land through natural disasters, calamities, and death rates;
--drug epidemic ravaging our country;  entire generation hooked on drugs and destroying mental stability, life and future our land;
--selfishness and sinfulness increasing, while holiness decreasing;  pray for Him to increase and us to decrease;
--continued cops being shot and cops shooting innocents;  huge attack on our society balance of law enforcement;
--confession of sin for our nation and its actions;
--pray for leaders and courts to be used for God's glory;
--pray against evil in its places of influence; 
--preventive prayers before evil unfolds in our schools, military bases, churches, homes and public venues;

State
--revival in our state;
--pray against legislation attacking society by legalizing sin;
--1.8 million population-1.4 million without Christ;
--drug epidemic in every fabric of our state;  death rate of overdoses huge; pray for deliverance from this evil;
--families under attack; dysfunction, disunity and divided;  pray for families to be that which honors and glorifies God; 
--pray for our regions and churches and pastors to fight the 'good fight';
--city ordinances embracing transgender rights; this fight is not going to end til they are in the churches and commanding us;  fight now before it gets there;
--Religious Freedom bill passed House of Delegates, but is stalled in Senate; 


Cities
--revival can begin locally;
--issues of city ordinances embracing transgender rights; this fight is not going to end til they are in the churches and commanding us;  fight now before it gets there;
--drug epidemic;
--lostness prevails; 
--unity among brethren;

Churches
--our greatest need is for real revival to come upon the church; upon us individually and corporately;
--holiness to be our mandate; pray against carnality, false religions, lies of the enemy;
--pray for one another, burdens that we carry, pray for unity;
--eternity and spiritual mindedness in this year for our labors for His glory and honor;
--pray for the church to become houses of prayer;
--pray for the pulpits to be Spirit filled and have an unction from the Holy One;
--SBC convention in June; St. Louis; 
--Easter is this month and its great message, redemption and hope to impact families and souls for a harvest;

You
May I ask of you, how are you spiritually?
Are you serving wholly, with all your heart, mind, soul and body? 
Are you up on bible reading/study/memorizing?
Is your prayer life reaping fruit and prevailing?
Have you shared the Gospel with the lost? 
Strive to enter in, for there be few that find it. 
The weight of this generation and the hope of a future is on our shoulders.  If we fail, our nation will cease to be. 
Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life and labor for Him, Who is worthy.
