Greetings,
"And David said, What have I now done? Is there not a cause?" I Samuel 17:29
I have started to write this prayer blog, 3 times, and each time I'm stopped and redraft. IN prayer time as I prayed about this, immediately this verse came ot my mind in prayer. And even though, I have used this often, it is still the Word of the Lord. And I embrace that which the Lord leads me and you along to pray for His Name sake, and for His will and for His kingdom to be done. There are several things that I wish to share with you in this blog and ask of you to consider praying over and through. But first, let us look at this verse and consider its importance to us in the role of prayer.
what have I now done? How often I am prone to ask this of myself, what have I done. What have I done in life? what have I done in service to Him? and what have I done in offence to Him?
"what have I now done?" What have you done thus far this month for the Lord and for His kingdom? what have you done in your life for Him? What are your plans for your future in service to Him? So that at the end of your days here on this earth you may be able to say, 'what have I done for Him? Here is what I have done." What you do for Him is resolved each day to meet Him and be before Him. Therefore it is a great part of the discipleship of the Christian to always be asking, 'what have I now done for Him?'
The 4 pillars of the faith that I believe keep a Christian 'taking heed' to their ways in service and obedience is ever so important. The 4 pillars: bible reading/study; prayer; witness/evangelize; and faithful in church service. When these 4 things begin to fail in a christians daily activity sin lies at the door. But the soul active in all 4 is maintaining their walk and relationship with the Lord in holiness and obedience.
And if we have not done much for Him thus far in our life, then it is now time to seek Him for allowance to serve better. Always mindful of the opportunity that is given to grow in Him and for Him. And in this, is where the Christian matures and brings glory to Him.
"Is there not a cause?"
Being able to serve the Lord is determined by the previous question in our spiritual life and walk with Him. but this question, it is the action to be taken in this world and for this time, for what is at hand. There are several things on my heart and mind that are right before us now to take consideration for.
1. Where we are at and what is coming -- the progression of evil has been on my mind and heart for decades in our nation and for our future; Years ago, the Lord gave me this phrase, 'the progression fo evil' and I have started numerous times to write it and the remedy in prevailing prayer; but time and time again having lost it, stopped writing and moving forward on it, I have failed. But I have gleaned the truth of our plight and what is coming due to the behavior of our sinful nature in this nation. We are mirroring the sins of Israel and Judah in the Old Testament and are heading to the same collapse due to our sin against the Lord God.
I used to think that the escalation of evil was leading us to the church in an all out pursuit of revival and we would see another Great Awaking. However, I see revival but also judgement in severity to fall on us. Based solely on the fact that we have murdered 'legally' 60 million babies. And that blood cannot go unanswered before the Lord God.
coupled along with this great sin is the added blood shed of homicides, to rising stats and numbers. And greater venues of evil being acted out in murder-suicides and mass shootings. These are the remedial judgements that have not sparked a conscience of knowing where we stand before the Lord. As I have often said, 'I don't expect lost people to get this; but I do expect the church to get it'. thus we have seen increased numbers of the continued remedial judgements of death and destruction - drugs/cancers/immorality before the Lord.
all of this is pushing us to collapse. Economically, military, the family is already near collapse/marriage eroded; and the churches religious freedom and ability to finish the task is now greatly hindered. Due to the lack of brokenness and contrition before the Lord by His church the immorality that has been allowed on our watch is increasing. Laws and judicial edicts now legalize abominations. This can only lead to the Lord's hand of wrath against us.
Greater perversion and immorality will now take us to new heights of judgement, as we have seen. These judgements have been natural, death and destruction on our society., Our future is now in jeopardy with drugs and abortions to eliminate the reproduction and sustaining of a nation to continue on. We are now on the brink of extinction. The church should be aware of this plight and seek to finish while there is time. Liberals are gunning to end it all with their agenda and we are so close to that happening. A matter of fact if Hillary had won, we would almost be there.
"Is there not a cause?" Here is found our driving passion of urgency, fervency for this time of emergency on what is happening and what is to come. On this current road of ours' we are headed for annihlation. 'The prayer of the saints' are able to secure a blessing from the Lord for favor. Not a favor of self-preservation, but a favor of mercy to complete the task of reaching the nations for His kingdom sake and Name sake. But this passion is driven because of the calamities and the necessity of prevailing before the Lord. The cause is at hand, it is the very future of our existence and we desperately need God's hand of restraint, lest He 'come up in the midst of us and consume us.' Oh, brethren, it is time to seek the Lord.
2. SBC -- long on my heart and mind has been my grief over the SBC; raised in SBC; saved in an SBC church; called to ministry and served in SBC churches for over 30 years of ministry; Having known the leadership and thoroughly enjoyed the great Baptist preachers of old; sermons, books, conversations with great men and women of God that God has used in shaping and forming me in my walk with the Lord. Yet, in all this, when God sent me to speak to them of their waywardness in prayer, holiness and humanism, it was not received well. Rebuked, rebuffed and resented for simply telling them what God had already said in the bible.
Now there are other voices stating the same, yet they are not rebuffed. But their words still seem to fall on deaf ears. That which is needed to be done, is not being done, or considered. And I believe it to be simply the fact of pride. The sin of self is wedged deep in the minds, ministries and lifestyles of the church. Out of this comes humanism, the great sin of the SBC. so much of "I" and "we" are going to do this, without any time spent before the Lord for His anointing or seeking His face. They know how to do it, they just go and do it without the Spirit. 'and he wist not that the Spirit of the Lord had departed from him''.
For years the sins against our brethren over theology, ministries, money, and other things has escalated. The battles over the Bible, missions, and conservative ways unified and projected the priority. But once these things passed, then the battles over words and beliefs re-surfaced. Now with no major battle to fight this convention is heating up to be a major battle. Calls for fasting and prayer have been initiated; which is great. However, they are praying toward getting out of this conflict, not in dealing with what caused this conflict. The confession of sins, the repentance, the laboring to seek God's face for mercy and restraint against us and the churches we made our own, instead of His' will not be dealt with. God is a Jealous God and will not share His' with us. Why would He? When we put our hands on it, we defile it.
The hope for the SBC and its future is in the Lord. I believe all know this; but they are only a few that are willing and moving in decisions to guide the convention to that place before the Lord. Without the Lord, you shall not continue but fade away. God will remove your candlestick, and replace it with another that will do His will in all the earth. Woe to the SBC! if they don't recognize the high offence toward God and correct this before its too late.
"Is there not a cause?" Even now, there are many voicing calls to prayer. In this I rejoice. I am the king of 'calling for prayer'; and I have learned, what good does the call to prayer do, if the people do not pray. This is not the prayer of self preservation either. but it is the prayer of God's kingdom's will to be done, here on earth as it is in heaven. Brethren, long have you rejected the word of the Lord; now in our darkest hour, there is a need to respond rightly. Right response I have detailed time and again, may it be done in humbleness, earnestness, and contrition. He will not fail us, if we cast ourselves upon Him; for He is worthy and merciful. 'It is time to seek the Lord!"
Prayer Targets:
--drugs; epidemic numbers and annihilation of an entire generation; spiritual/remedial judgement;
--war; not 'if', but when and with who; remedial judgement; praying now for spiritual awakening among soldiers that will perish in this war for the saving of their souls before their eternity comes;
--earthquakes; unusal but a forewarning of that which is to come; natural disasters are also a part of God's wrath upon a nation that has forgotten and forsaken Him; 4 major earthquakes in the last week; all at remote areas, but definitely for precursor for what is to come in a major earthquake and hit a populate area; destruction & death;
--economy; only a matter of time as this builds for self-destruction; article on crisis in rents across our nation to cause another housing crisis; oil prices spiking;
--murder-suicides; homicides;
--mass shootings, school shootings; been very quiet and rejoice in that restraint; but not a day can be relaxed but continually engage in spiritual warfare of the minds and hearts of evil men acting out these evil deeds for Satan's agenda;
--SBC convention; humanism & departure from the right ways of the Lord are allowing and bringing to pass God's judgement on us;
