AWFUL VERSES IN THE BIBLE

Greetings,

This is probably not the best title for this blog posts, but for those that know the Bible and follow my writings, they will understand.   There are certain verses in the Bible filled with the glory of God, great promises, great deeds and works of God and filled with hope.    Too many focus solely on these verses and reject, refuse and neglect the other side of the verses and nature of God.   To focus on only 1/2 is to neglect the whole;  and from this comes a half truth.   So as many may have written, spoke, shared and brought the great verses of the Bible, here is the other half.

The 'awful verses' in the Bible are that which reveals certain realities for those that it was written about, as well as to reveal to us that there are many still in that place.   As we go down through these, may it reveal to us what not to do, allow or become.   How awful is the plight of many of these circumstances, people and situations.   May it not be said of us!   Brethren, 'grow in grace & knowledge of our Lord' and dare not repeat their folly.   Oh, that it may be so!

(This is not a comprehensive, simply those that have stopped, gripped and shamed me)
The pattern will be to state the book, chapter and verse and then a short devotion/commentary to follow.

Genesis 6:6, "And it repenteth the Lord that He had made man on the earth, and it grieved Hima t His heart."

Before this verse and after are added phrases that makes this verse that much worse.   God sees His creation of man and in verse 5, 'the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually'.   What an awful verse of the plight of man.   In verse 7, for what God sees, His response is to destroy the earth and all that is found in it.    Now many will focus on Noah and finding grace in the sight of the Lord, which is great and wonderful;  but what about the 10,000's of those that perished, and did not find grace but wrath?    This is the imbalance of 1/2 truths that I mentioned in opening.   And what should captivate us here is all that God goes through in this verses - He repents; He made man;  His heart is grieved.   Oh, my!  God's heart is grieved because of the wicked hearts of men.   should that not speak volumes to our hearts and souls when we view this wicked world today!
WHAT AN AWFUL VERSE!!

Deuteronomy 29:20, "The Lord will not spare him, but then the anger of the Lord and his jealousy shall smoke against that man, and all the curses that are written in this book shall lie upon him; and the Lord shall blot out his name from under heaven."
God declares that that one who knows the Lord's commands and refuses to do them, shall meet God's wrath.  And how severe is His wrath?  'their name shall be blotted out from under heaven."

I Samuel 10:19, "And ye have this day rejected your God, Who Himself saved you out of all your adversities and your tribulations; and ye have said unto Him, Nay but set a king over us.  . . . "

Oh, how many set in this plight this day, 'ye have rejected your God'.   Of any wisdom to be underst

I Kings 14:13, "And all Israel shall mourn for him, and bury him:  for he only of Jeroboam shall come to the grave because in him there is found some good thing toward the Lord God of Israel in the house of Jeroboam."

The epitaph of Jeroboam may also be included in this listing of 'awful' verses, 'Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who made Israel to sin'.     but this verse has always intrigued me.   What was it of this one soul out of all the family that God found one good thing?   Was he the only one that feared the Lord? loved the Lord?  served the Lord?   Was he the only one that sought his father to turn from his wickedness and plead with him to return and serve the Lord?    God always has His man.   His sole witness, pray-er, servant that is used as a witness against the wicked.
But put in context this phrase, out of all the family, he only has found good toward the Lord God.  Out of dozens, maybe 100's none was found good, but this one boy.   And for his reward of being that only one, he would die.   He would perish as soon as his mother returns to the city from the prophet and her feet hit the door of the house.   God in mercy would allow for him to perish before God's wrath is unleashed.   One good family member, one soul that God sees as only good in all that family.   All others would die a horrible death, but this boy would die the death of sickness to be delivered from that which is to come.   WHAT AN AWFUL VERSE!!

II Chronicles 21:20, "Thirty and two years old was he when he began to reign, and he reigned in Jerusalem eight years, and departed without being desired.  Howbeit they buried him in the city of David, but not int he sepulchres of the kings."

this is Jehoram, the son of Jehoshaphat.    Now there is much good that comes from Jehoshaphat, but his son did not walk in his ways.   And Jehoram did so much evil, so wicked, not because of his father, but because of his mother, this awful phrase is left for his epitaph, 'he departed without being desired'.    He was 32 years old when he began to reign and reigned for 8 years.   He died at 40 years old.   Are you telling me that with 40 years on this earth and so much that could be done, should be done, that you live it so wickedly that not one souls languishes when you die?  not one soul cares?  but rather they rejocie when your gone.    WHAT AN AWFUL VERSE!!

II Chronicles 36:16, "But they mocked the messengers of God, and despised His Words, and misused His prophets, until the wrath of the Lord arose against His people, till there was no remedy."
All the activity in this verse is bad enough, but the last phrase, is to me the worst verse in all the Bible.   It is not just for that moment for Judah and God's land, city, temple, and people;  but it is the same message for all those in hell for all eternity - NO REMEDY.    What do you do when God says, 'there is no remedy'?

Psalm 34:16, "the face of the Lord is against them that do evil, to cut off the remembrance of them from the earth."

Two horrible phrases are found within this verse.  One, that God's face is set against them that do evil.  There is no hope when God sets His face against evil ones.  Woe to them that are in this plight.   Secondly, God removes them from the earth.  And not just removes, but removes their rememberance also from the earth.  This is complete annihialtion.

Ezekiel 27:36, 28:19 - ". . . and never shall be any more."

Matthew 7:23 & 25:41, 'Depart from Me, I never knew you"

Matthew 13:58, "And he did not many mighty works there because of their unbelief."

Luke 19:41, "And when He was come near, He beheld the city, and wept over it."

Mark 10:21 - 22, 'Then Jesus beholding him loved him, and said unto him. . . . And he was sad at that saying, and went away grieved:  for he had great possessions."

JUDGEMENT - SINS OF THE ONE AFFECTING OTHERS

Greetings,

One of the things that is lightly discussed and largely unknown is the judgement of God here and now, and that which is to come.   Final judgement determines the destination of the soul.   Great, white judgement seat will judge the works of the saint and the sinner.   For the saint, it is not a matter of their salvation and eternity in the new heaven and the new earth.   but it is the bestowing, gaining of rewards or loss of rewards due directly to their works.    For the sinner, the horrors of hell and punishment therein shall all be cast into the lake of fire and there with SAtan and his angels for evermore.   Absence of God and any hope removed for ever is punishment enough;  I know not that there will or can be greater punishment and wrath in hell.

But as coming through Bible in readings and studies, there is a constant listing and finding of judgement on God's children.   This is not dealing with the lost soul, but more so, the one who professes their service to God.   Some of these judgements are needed to set before us as a warning first, and then a directive to confess, repent, and do our first works of the Savior.

One of the things that bothers me most about myself and found within the church, is the 'lightly esteemed' reactions with sin and about sin.   'The wages of sin is death'.  Much of the church has forgotten that Scripture and truth.   We hear too many excuses of those in sin or allowing of sin.   They cling to 'God loves sinners' and neglect, reject 'God condemns sinners to hell'.   There are high consequences of sin that seems it takes us the hard way to learn these truths.

Thus, as I come through Scriptures I see how wide spread these men in the bible sinned, and then how far reaching the impact went to those around them.   A very painful and sorrowful lesson to learn and glean.   But one that is much needed that we cease playing with sin and think there are no consequences to be reaped.

ACHAN

Joshua 7:1, "But the children of Israel committed a trespass in the accursed thing:  For Achan, the son of Carmi, the son of Zabdi, the son of Zerah, of the tribe of Judah, took of the accursed thing:  and the anger of the Lord was kindled against the children of Israel.

7:21, "When I saw among the spoils. . . .then I coveted them; and behold, they are hid in the earth in the midst of my tent, and the silver under it."

The Sin:   God had charged Joshua and the people as they came against Jericho, not to take or touch any of its possessions.   All was to be consecrated to the Lord of the metals and precious stones.   they were to keep themselves from "the accursed thing, lest ye make yourselves accursed, when ye take of the accursed thing, and make the camp of Israel a curse, and trouble it." (Joshua 6:18   As Achan confessed, he saw, he coveted, he took and touched the accursed thing and hid it within his tent.

DAVID

The Sin:

SOLOMON

JEROBOAM, THE SON OF NEBAT

ASA

II Chronicles 16:7 - 9, "Because thou hast relied ont he king of Syria, and not relied on the Lord thy God, therefore is the host of the king of Syria escaped out of thine hand.   Were not the Ethiopians and the Lubims a huge hosts, with very many chariots and horsemen?  yet, because thou didst rely on the Lord, He delivered them into thine hand. . . .Herein thou hast done foolishly:  therefore from henceforth thou shalt have wars. . . . And Asa in the thrity and ninth year of his reign was diseased in his feet, until his disease was exceeding great:  yet in this disease he sought not to the Lord, but to the physicians."

The Sin:     Asa had been given decades of peace and safety.   EArly on a huge army out of Africa came against him but he turned to the Lord and the Lord delivered them.   Yet, in his latter years, 30 years of reigning the next confortation comes in his 35th year as king.   Yet, in this he turned and trusted in man rather than God.   And when he was diseases in his feet in the latter years of his life, he was still angry at God and turned to doctors rather than the Lord.   And also attacked and imprisoned the prophet that declared he would have war for not relying on the Lord.

The Impact:   Treasures from the Lord's house was removed to buy off the Syrians and have them attack Israel.    Asa was so angry at the prophets words that he put him in prison.  It says that he oppressed some of the people at that time.  This was more of a personal impact, than the others that we have seen as generational and wide reaching.   Yet, his choices to sin against the Lord carry with it a huge lesson to be learned in the defiance against the Lord.   For sin and the impending response of God to judge us is sent as a work of mercy to cause us to come back to Him.   Yet, for Asa, he did not repent, nor confess, but hardened himself and wen tfurther away from the Lord.

It is the progression of such actions that teaches me the most.   For instead of sin breaking us before Him and restoring our relationship with Him, they go further away.   Its end result is not sensible or logical.   Yet, how many are seen here in their response back to God.   They harden them selves and dive deeper into greater sin.   Their last end is worse than their beginning.

JEHOSHAPHAT
II Chronicles 18:1, "Now Jhoshaphat had riches and honour in abundance, and joined affinity with Ahab."
19:1, "And Jehoshaphat the king of Judah returned to his house in peace to Jerusalem.  And Jehu the seer went out ot meet him, and said to king Jehoshaphat, Shouldest thou help the ungodly, and love them that lhate the Lord?  therefore is wrath upon thee from before the Lord.

PRAYER BLOG - NOVEMBER 20

Greetings,
"And Elisha prayed, and said, Lord, I pray Thee, open his eyes, that hemay see.  And the Lord opened the eyes of the young man; and he saw; and behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha.  And when they came down to him, Elisah prayed unto the Lord, and said, Smite this people, I pray thee, with blindness.  And He smote them with blindness according to the word of Elisha."  II Kings 6:15 - 20

Knowing God and knowing God's Word has become predominant for me this past year (s).  All the years of reading, studying and learning are culminating to these truths that are revealed about God.  Paul's words echo my earthly ambition, 'that I may know Him'.      Too much of our society, and the church preaches and teaches the half-truths of God.   They will preach, 'Jacob have I loved' and stop there and refuse to preach, 'but Esau have I hated'.    they do not preach and teach the whole counsel of God.    We must study the whole and avoid 1/2 truths.   this is what opens the doors of heresy and Scriptural errors.

But there are other phrases of importance that helps us in learning and knowing Who God is.   The "I will's of God" is a powerful, insightful study of over 2000 "I will's of God' found in Scripture.  There is 'The Activity of God'  And then there is these verses of what God does and allows by His servants and the phrase found here is, 'hear and see'.

Teach us, O Lord, Who Thou art, by what Thou seest and hearest.   And open our eyes, that we may see what You want us to see.  Open Thou our ears that we may hear what Thou desiredst for us to hear.

See in this passage the response of God to the prayers and directives of His prophet, Elisha.

Elisha's young servant is with him on the hill top.   Here comes the enemy, and fear fills him.   And he asks of Elisha, 'Alas! my master! how shall we do?"    Oh, how many when they have their eyes on the circumstances fall prey to fear and doubt.   But Elisha had his eyes on the Lord, and he knew God was there to protect and deliver.   Is God not able to protect and deliver?   Then why does fear and doubt rise up within you?   Why do you look to men rather than to the Master?   "Turn your eyes upon Jesus, look full in  HIs wonderful face"

Two phrases to gather in these passages:
1.  Call & Answer - based on Jeremiah 33:3, 'Call unto Me and I will answer you';
verse 17 - Elisha prays unto God to open His eyes;   and God heard him and answered him.
verse 18 - Elisha prays unto God to blind their eyes;  and God heard him and answered him.
verse 20 - Elisha prays for God to open their eyes; and God hears him and answers him.

Nothing is too hard for God for His children.

2.  Hear and See phrase
verse 17 - God hears Elisha and sees the need.   The servant hears Elisha pray and opens his eyes to see.
verse 18 - the servant heard Elisha pray for the enemy to be made blind;  and he saw the Lord do it;
verse 20 - God hears Elisha pray and answers him;  the servant heard him pray and saw the answer;
verse 21 - king saw the answer and asked answer for his ears to hear of what he was to do - 'Shall I smite?"   verses 22 and he answered - the king heard him;

Oh, brethren, that we may call and He will answer.   But if we do not call, He will not answer.   But how much more when God calls, that we answer.   Paul said in Acts, 'but I was not disobedient to the heavenly calling'.   May this be true of us!

And brethren, let me ask of you, what do you see?  what do you hear?   What are you watching?  what are you gazing and looking at?   Is it the world, or the Lord?   And what are you giving ear to? the things of flesh or Spirit?   Give ear to the voice of God;  listen to the Holy Spirit speak and lead you and teach you.

This is the study and the pursuit of knowing God and knowing God's Word.   Open our eyes and ears that we may see and hear Your Divine will and ways.   May we pray your mind and heart for Your glory to be manifested.

EPIDEMICS

The remedial judgements that were sent upon our nation, have impacted us for decades.   The churches failure to recognize this and deal, speak and pray rightly has allowed for these remedial judgements to escalate to EPIDEMIC proportions.   The failure during these days to respond rightly before the Lord to these EPIDEMICS  will lead us to the last stage of God' wrath - 'I will remove you from the earth'.

1.  Drugs - last year over 70,000 drug death happened in the US;   but one of the acceptable norms now is alcohol use and abuse - 88,000 died from this;   160,000 deaths due to drugs & alcohol;  use and abuse remains among those in church and out of church;   the sin of death;
2.   Cancer - surgeries; recoveries; more names added;   prominent Christians - Michael Catt; Anne Graham Lotz & now Jodi Erikson Tada;
3.    Great Evil - police officer and several others killed yesterday in Chicago;  the city with already over 600 homicides on their streets this year, 2 per day average;  BAtlimore averages 1 per day and is close to 300 per day;  school shootings has been quiet, although there has been several threats and plans thwarted;   I fear that the next wave of evil is coming in all areas of school shootings, police officers, mass shooting, church shooting and murder-suicides;
A note - I started this earlier in the week;  but revelations of yesterday are revealing that domestic deaths, and happenings are rampant on the holiday.   Another revelation of epidemic proportions.
4.    LGBT - Nevada has effective for Jan. 1 of the new year to make public schools recognize whatever sex the child wants to be identified with;   the whole state;
5.   Children - continued sexual; physical and neglect ;
6.   Natural Disasters -   CA wildfires - over 1000 still missing;  79 dead;  And now the worst is coming:  people homeless and in tents with heavy rainfall coming;  smoke in the air and breathed with create worst hazards;  and a virus has hospitalized 100's following unclean living conditions;   plagues;
earthquakes and volcanic eruptions inAlaska;  this is a rarity;

UPDATES
--A Word - excited to announce that I finally finished Isaiah chapter 56, all 12 verses;   I wanted to finish this before starting chapter 57;
--sermons from Sunday are live streamed on Sunday's from youtube live and then saved/downloaded to my youtube page;
--The Activity of God - Ruth/I Samuel  - up through chapter 11;
--still have not heard anything from church and prayer leaders;   Nothing has changed in the response of 'concert of prayer' or 'calling to prayer' to advert the next round of judgements;   I'm watching and waiting to see if the Lord says;   This is always about 'where we are' and what is God's response to our response'.    Prayer Life of the SBC and the Consideration of this has been sent.   but men's programs and holiday acitvities refuse to do anything till new year.    A surrender of 2 months for Satan to deepen his work.

PRAYER BLOG - NOVEMBER 13

Greetings,
"And she was in bitterness of soul, and prayed unto the Lord, and wept sore.  And she vowed a vow, and said, O Lord of hosts, if Thou wilt indeed look on the affliction of Thine handmaid, and remember me, and not forget Thine handmaid, but wilt give unto Thine handmaid a man child. . .  . . . No, my lord, I am a woman of a sorrowful spirit:  I have drunk neither wine nor strong drink, but have poured out my soul before the Lord.. . . the God of Israel grant thee thy petition that thou hast asked of him.  . . . and Elkanah knew Hannah his wife, and the Lord remembered her. . . For this child I prayed; and the Lord hath given me my petition which I asked of Him."   I Samuel 1:9 - 27

I have preached all around this passage the last two weeks not even really aware of it.   Preached the great worship prayer of Hannah in chapter 2 at Fox's Hollow;  this past Sunday I preached chapter 2 of "praying God's heart & mind over our heart and mind."   And now in 'The Activity of God - Ruth/I Samuel' here i am again.   Going through this broke me with great expression of heart in prayers unto Him.   A flood of issues, sins, heart cries and the recent happenings of judgement have greatly moved me, and this is coupled with everything else upon me and within me.  Would you walk with me through these prayer points:

v. 10 "bitterness of soul, and prayed unto the Lord,, and wept sore"   What was the last spiritual thing you wept over?   What was the last spiritual, heavenly thing that left you 'bitter in soul'?   Bitter in soul is 'great grief'.  And there was no relief for this great grief to be offered from this world, only by praying it unto the Lord.    I believe the Keith Green song, "My Eyes are Dry' is our truth and confession of most churches, they never weep;  and most Christians, they don't weep over what breaks God's heart.    They still wonder why Jesus wept over Jerusalem in Luke 19.   But oh, find the soul that is filled with bitterness and sorrow over the sins and evil of this world.  Filled and the cup running over with this anguish and bitter sorrow.   They see hell capture and hold souls;  to see drugs and all the fruit that comes from those evil seeds planted and nourished by this lost world;  to see it in whole families and all the while watching the church neglect and reject the prayer meeting.   And when they do have a prayer meeting, no brokenness, no sorrow, no bitterness of soul before the Lord.

I must confess, I have never gotten over June, 2013 and the legalizing of the great evil of homosexuality by the Supreme Court.   If that was my battle to fight in this world and on my time frame, I failed.  For I did see it forehand.  I saw when CA overturned it and knew it would come to the Supreme Court and knew they would pass it.   And even though I wrote and begged and pleaded with SBC leaders to rise up and fight this, they waited till the last weeks before doing or saying anything.    I hold them responsible as well, but I know it was on me largely.   This was my bitterness of soul. . these are the types of things that cause me to pray unto the Lord and weep sore.  that instance now causes me to see the hand writing on the wall for others sins and God's response for our nation and for our future.

Lost souls, haphazard church goers, religious people, no brokenness or contrition, no godly sorrow unto repentance; and all the while knowing that they come to Christ, make a decision and in 6 months they'll be right back out in the world.   They never died to self, never crucified the flesh and the world and they try to straddle the fence, with one foot in the church and the other in the world.   Such anguish over our plight today.   The remedial judgements were bad enough, but now having grown to EPIDEMICS, how much more.   Doing the stats for prayer meetings  among SBC and seeing our great sin of prayerlessness and not one word, not one response, good or bad.   This is my bitterness of soul, this is what makes me pray unto the Lord, this is why I weep sore in the night.

I am Jeremiah, 'Behold and see if there be any sorrow like unto my sorrow, wherewith the Lord hath afflicted me".    "For these things I weep: mine eye, mine eye runneth down with water, because the comforter that should relieve my soul is far from me:  my children are desolate because the enemy prevailed."   What??! the enemy prevailed;   It's not supposed to be that way.  We are to victorious;  we sing 'Victory in Jesus'; 'we state 'Jesus wins in the end'.   But what about now?   As Jesus said of Jerusalem when He wept over it.  'But you would not' and they did not.   And this is the answer to why the enemy prevails, 'you would not' --weep; --fast; --pray;  anguish.  and now your end is come.

v. 11 - Her vow and her pleading - Hannah made a vow.  Do not make a vow ever in the heat of a moment.  For the Lord will hold you to it, there is no going back on a vow to the Lord.   but Hannah makes a statement here that spoke to my heart, 'look on the affliction of Thy servant and remember me, and not forget me"    Oh, God cannot forget His Own, yea, we are engraved on the palms of His hand.   But this is a revelation of the desperation of her heart; yea, of mine for what I see and hear and know.   So desperate with grabbing hold of the horns of the altar, as Jacob, "I will not let go, till Thou bless me and answer me'.   It is the desperation of heart cry, "I will not be denied.   There is no tomorrow, no more hope, no more opportunities; only here and now,  Tomorrow is promised to none of us.   Here and here alone, this battle will be fought and won or lost."   It is urgency.  Remember me Lord.

v. 15  'but have poured out my soul before the Lord'    Ah, there are many that pray;  there are many that call upon Him;   but there are so few that pour out their soul before Him.   Do you see the level of increase here?   Phrase that I have been stuck with in preaching Sunday and in bible readings, 'how much more'.   It is wonderful that you pray, 'say prayers',  but how much more is it for the soul that pours it out before Him.    As David poured out the water of the 3 mighty men that risked their lives for a cup of water from Bethlehem' well; he poured it out unto the Lord.

I shared recently with someone, when they asked me how it was going.    You know me, I answer truthfully, no pleasant vain repetitions from me.  I answered & said, 'I still haven't arrived yet."  And I could see the look on his face.   I said, 'You ever heard of Rex Andrews?'  "no", he replied.   I proceeded to tell him that Rex Andrews prayed for 30 years and never missed a night.  Starting at 10 PM each night and praying generally till 4 or 5 AM.    But the phrase of pouring oneself out before the Lord is found in this statement of Rex Andrews, this is what I seek to find and hold and accomplish, 'I prayed till the burden was lifted'.    Oh, brethren, how we do pray; but I fear we do not pray till the burden is lifted;  till the forces of His kingdom is won.   Pray, yes;  but pray so as to prevail, we know very little of.     Hannah prayed and prevailed.  Do you see it?  How much more. . .

v.  17, 19, 20, 27   'God grant thee thy petition. . . God remembered her. . . I have asked him of the Lord. . . For this child I prayed; and the Lord hath given me my petition which I asked of Him.'    It just don't get no better than this.   'call and I will answer';  'ask and it shall be given'   seek and ye shall find';   Pray and it shall be granted.   The burden is lifted, the prayer is heard, it has come before His throne, with the incense offered from the golden censer and the prayer of the saints.   His kingdom will be done and established and His will be performed; because His people prayed with an anguish in their soul and heart;  with tears as their meat; and with a heart that nothing else can satiate that He speaking those words from His heavenly throne, 'I have heard you, seen your tears, I know your heart is broken,   Your petition to Me from your heart and bitter soul is answered."    And in one moment, sorrow and grief are replaced with joy and rejoicing, because HE IS ABLE.

Oh brethren, your praying?   wonderful, continue.   But do you know this kind of praying.
The hour is late, the need is great; pray so as to prevail.

EPIDEMICS:
1.  Drugs - 3 more states legalized drug use;  no spiritual warfare by the church continues to allow hell to take state after state;  drugs in the churches because they believe 'a little' use is ok;   There is no separation of drugs & alcohol in the church.   There are as guilty of use as the lost sinners.   It is our great iniquity as the church.
2.  Cancer - rejoice/sorrow;   Rejoicing in the answered prayers;   Beth was at Bible study last night; donna is home;  others answered prayers and recovering from surgery.  Amen; Praise You Lord!   Sorrow - two more passed away last week;  one with Christ, the other unknown;
3.  Great Evil - two suicides within a week here in Keyser;   unheard of!   this is why this section of epidemics is titled 'GREAT EVIL'   its not bullying; its not guns;  its evil;   Satan comes to kill, destroy, devastate and claim souls for his own.    And our great work is to counter that by praying for their deliverance, victory and overcoming.   'Deliver them from evil'   And it has only increased from week to week.    3 close at hand for me;  This is not acceptable.  But the church locally as nationally doesn't get it.   They do not know that we wrestle against spiritual wickedness and rulers and principalities of the darkness.
4.   LGBT -

5.  Children -

6.    Natural Disasters - CA wildfires with almost 50 dead and over 200 missing;   Drought, prevention, etc.   is what the world thinks and says.   JUDGEMENT  is what I say.   Proposition 8 is still on God's heart and mind.    LGBT agenda, Planned parenthood, Hollywood and all the other evil.   The remnant is there and upon the righteous and the wicked comes these judgements on all our land.  FL still without power, still recovering;   flooding, etc.   worse and more records and more 'historical moments' all within this last year.   Can't you see the handwriting on the wall?!

UPdates:
I will only share one thing with you.   I have sent out the two blog posts on the SBC Prayer Life and my remedy for that of praying with intent.    I have sent these out to all the SBC state executives and will try to send to as many others of discipleship, revitalization, church strengthening etc.   We are out of time folk, please pass along.
My only regret about the SBC Prayer Life stats, is that I could have gathered more info.   But time and gathering is hard, But I do feel confident that the numbers are a revealing of accuracy among all the church in North America, not just SBC.

THE ACTIVITY OF GOD IN THE BIBLE - RUTH - I SAMUEL

The Activity of God

Going through the Bible, book by book, chapter by chapter, verse by verse, phrase by phrase and word by word to give attention to the following:
--the Names of God;
--the word & deeds of God;
--the sayings of God;
--the attributes of God;

Too often the churches weakness and the Christians weakness is found in this one sin, 'we do not know God'.  We have not studied the Bible, nor Him to learn more of Him.  Seeking that this might be a help for myself and others in this pursuit that each of us 'may grow in grace and knowledge of our Lord.'

28:6     And when Saul enquired of the Lord, the Lord answered him not,    God is enquired of but does not answer;  call & answer not;
28:10     And Saul sware to her by the Lord, saying, As the Lord liveth,   God's Name is used to swear by;   God lives;
28:15     for the Philistines make war against me, and God is departed from me, and answereth me no more    God departs from men;  God does not answer all men;
28:16    Wherefore then dost thou ask of me seeing the Lord is departed from thee and is become thine enemy?   God departs from men;  God is his enemy;
28:17     And the Lord hath done to him, as He spake by me, for the lord hath rent the kingdm out of thine hand, and given it to thy neighbour, even to David.    God does His will to men;  And God said/spok;   God rent the kingdom from Saul;   God gave it to David;
28:18     Because thou obeyedst not the voice of the Lord, nor exectuedst His fierce wrath upon Amalek, therefore hath the Lord done this thing unto thee this day.     God's voice is not obeyed;   God's anger was not exectued upon the evil and the wicked;   God did this unto him, even this day;
28:19      Moreover the Lord will also deliver Israel with thee into the hand of the Philistines:  and to morrow shalt thou and thy sons be with me:  the Lord also shall deliver the host of Israel into the hand of the Philistines.    I will's of God to deliver Israel  and Saul into hand of enemy;   God foretells throguh Samuel that tomorrow Saul and sons will dead;   God delivers host of Israel into enemies hand;
Chapter 29
29:6     Surely, as the Lord liveth, thou hast been upright    God lives;
29:9    as an angel of God      God's angels, similarity compared;
Chapter 30
30:6    but David encouraged himself in the Lord his God.    God hears, knows and helps His children when they turn to him for encouragement;  He is able;
30:8     And David enquired at the Lord, saying , Shall I pursue after this troop?  shall I overtake them?  And He answered him, Pursue:  for thou shalt surely overtake them, and without fail recover all.      God hears and sees those that enquire of Him;  And God said/spoke;   God answered David's questions and gave directive for him to pursue and overtake;
30:15    Swear unto me by God    God's Name sworn by for assurances/promise;
30:23     with that which the Lord hath given us, Who hath preserved us, and delivered the company that came against us into our hand     God gave them back their family and spoil;  God preserved them;  God delivered the enemy into their hand;
30:26     for you of the spoil of the enemies of the Lord     God's enemeis are defeated and spoil taken and sent throughout Israel;
