PRAYER BLOG - March 30, 2018

Greetings,

"Awake, Awake, put on strength. . . "  Isaiah 51:9; 52:1
"Awake, Awake, stand up. . . " Isaiah 51:17

I am currently coming through Isiah 51 in my A Word blog posts.  Three times in this section the Lord calls for His people to Awake.  Now in this passages He is addressing the children of Jerusalem and Israel.  but we also know that the Lord when He speaks is not limited to time and place, but is able to speak to multiple people, places and times throughout history.   and multiple times He has come to a nation, to His Own people and spoken these same words over and over, 'Awake, Awake'.
The only reason the Lord would have to say this, is because they are asleep.

How often in Scriptures and life do we see and know this truth.  The spirit is willing but the flesh is weak.  The disciples sleeping on Jesus in His greatest hour; Christian in Pilgrims Progress falling asleep on the side of the mount and losing time and ground;  the watchmen that sleeps on the wall rather than staying alert and guarding; Jael nailing Sisera to the ground in the book of Judges;  Abner being asleep when David came in and could have killed Saul.  Over and over we see and know the times of our own life and times that we should have stayed awake, be on guard, but sloth and sleep prevailed.

The church and Christians have been asleep for decades now.  and even though the remnant is stirred up in this hour, for there are many calls to pray, cries for revival.  We still are not awake to the crisis hour we are seeing in the minds and hearts of men.  Evil is running rampant, and the church is sleeping on it guard posts duty.  Bibles are largely neglected by many of the church.  Prayer meetings are held, but little wrestling is done spiritually.  Most prayer meetings are 90 -99 % physical needs, and the spiritual needs of salvation, Holy Ghost, warring a good warfare in the mind and hearts of men is not fought.  Eternal talking is not done among the perishing, all the while the church sleeps.

Their eternity is hastening on, and the church sleeps and dreams of them being saved.  But only to awake to the reality that they are lost and separated from God.  Satan holds them with a grip that cannot be broken by such slothful men.  Awake, Awake ye men of Christ;  put on your armour and go forth and set the captives free.  Not one soul shall be saved, all the while we give more time to our beds and ease than to the causes of Christ.  Herein is our condemnation for this church age.  Look at what it has produced.

In the hours of crisis, one does not sleep nor rest.  Your house is on fire;  that phone call that your loved one is in ICU;  death is approaching to your loved one; tornado warnings are sounding -- one does not sleep in these moments, unless be counted as a fool.  But they rise and prepare, they watch, they hold forth a vigilant moment of prayer for the needs at hand.  You see it is a crisis hour and the call is issued Awake Awake.  Rise up dear Christian and see the hour of need.  We have slept enough and are as guilty as Peter, James and John for sleeping rather than watching and praying with our Lord's need.  The needs of our Lord, should be the heart cries of our prayers.

Of all the sins we must answer for, let us awake awake and not be found guilty of this great sin of being asleep when Jesus needed us.   "And that knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep:  for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed.  the night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works fo darkness, and let us put on the armour of light."  Romans 12

CRISIS HOUR

Crisis Hour

March, 2018

Desperate times; evil happenings; increase of sin; the church powerless; church void of the Presence of God; souls perishing into eternal hell;

These are a few of the phrases that should alarm the church.  The  Christian should understand the times that we are in, so as to war a good warfare.  And that there are victories to be won; there are souls to be saved; there is the work of our Lord's kingdom to be done in the midst of these troublesome times.  So in the midst of such times, are we sowing and reaping? are we praying so as to prevail? are we overcoming? are we gaining more than we are losing?

To the answer of such questions, it is to be determined where we are in this crisis hour.  It is much on my mind and heart about these things and the progression of evil.  The following is to discern what's going on; where are we headed; and what is the answer for our day.

1.  What's going on

--Remedial Judgements

It has been the unfortunate timing of our day to watch the collapse of our nation, the home, and the church.  To watch as the government, educators, and the church seek for answers to why things are falling apart and getting to this crisis hour.  And when it is presented that the simple answer to this is a spiritual answer, it is largely dismissed.  Yea, even by the church and its leaders.  But true enough, in the Holy Writ is the answer to our crisis hour;  we are under remedial judgement from God.

The activity of our day is clearly spelled out in Scripture, as God has revealed it to what shall be, and what is in this crisis hour.  And in God's Divine mercy and grace, He has spoken to make us aware of this and as well the remedy to this crisis hour.  Only fools dismiss the Word of God that is clearly revealing to us why this crisis is upon us.  We have sinned against the Lord, and have provoked Him to anger, fury and wrath.  This provocation unto God Almighty is found in His response to our actions and choices that we term remedial judgements.

Remedial judgements are a cause and affect application between us and God.  God is able to bless and curse, depending on our reactions, and responses unto Him.  These remedial judgements are sent by God as a means to correct our behavior that is not right in His sight.  The longer the duration of walking contrary to Him, the greater and more severe the judgements become.  Until at lat, the judgements reach a point of no return, in which the phrase of Scripture is rendered, 'remove you from the earth'.   Or as at the end of II Chronicles 36, "till there was no remedy".

Remedial judgements come in waves of time and subsequent increase in its implementation.  The greater and the longer the sin, there is an increase in response upon the person, the nation, or the church in these judgements.  In my life time, and especially focusing on this century, 2000-2018, the increase of remedial judgements is alarming and frightening for our time.  It also produces quite the alarm of urgency to know that these increases are pushing us to a place of no return.  When you have to convey this to the church leadership, with their refusal to understand or see it, it is even more alarming.  For then it renders to me, that the Lord is refusing to allow them to see it, 'having eyes to see, but cannot see'.  For what purpose? So that He might bring it to pass.

Remedial judgements come in numerous spheres of our nation, society, church, family and hearts.  Here are a few to see its impact:
--natural conditions; disasters, calamities, destruction, severity, loss of life, impacts over time, etc.
--home; families relationship; marriages; future generations, etc.
--government; leaders, laws, judicial edicts, godly vs. ungdoly;
--society; homicides, murder-suicides, mass shootings, school shooting, cops being shot, etc.
--plagues; cancer, drug epidemic, diseases - flu, measles, Zika, etc.
--economy; collapse, debt, financial institutions, prices, etc.
--military; war, preparation; destruction, enemies prevail, etc.
--church; loss of power, importance, influence, Spirit-less, prayer-less, unholy, etc.

These are the influences and making up of our lives in this day and time, and in this place.  It is all a by product of reaping what you sow.  To sow in sin, is to reap the curse from God upon all that we touch.  To sow to God and His ways, is to reap bountiful blessings of His provision, protection, and power.

--Status of the Church

It is necessary to hear and see where the church is and what is happening.  Now granted it is beyond us to see and hear all that is going on.  For in the midst of such times of evil, that brings us to this crisis hour, the  church has much to rejoice in of growth and advancement.  These testimonies and wonders are great encouragement and are always joyful and refreshing amidst the increase of evil.  Yet I find that many in the church seek to promote just the one side, just focus on the good news.  But this is a missing of the reality of our day.  The whole is made up of the good and the bad; the reality is blessings & judgements.  Not just one or the other; and the reality of our day is both.  The reality of our day, is that with 330 million (est.) as a population for the US;  there is estimated to be on any given Sunday around 30 million attending church with a regular status.  And even if attendance was closer to 50 or 60 million (doubling it) offering a 20% attendance, this is not the bottom line for our consideration.  Half of the population, 50%,  can be in church, attending, but that does not make them followers of Christ, or disciples.  we look at a 10%, and to some this is being generous of our status of followers of Christ, that understand the surrender required to be a Christian.  Tozer, Ravenhill and Richard Owen Roberts have quoted each other in this statement:  "What would happen or change in the church if real revival came?"  Their response, "The first thing would happen would be, 90% of the church would truly be born again."

so within this 10% of our population that are in church, they know the truth, or at least a cognitive ability of the truth, there is a movement happening.  They do recognize the crisis hour.  They are hearing of the remedial judgement and beginning to put 2 and 2 together.  But there is still upon the majority a apathetic state unless it hits in their own backyard.  Then when it hits home, they respond, or at least, stirred emotional for that moment to do something.

The issue and conversation about 'Holiness' is something in which I do not hear or see.  I believe this to be a central issue for the church today.  Christ command is easy, 'Be ye holy, for I am holy'.  "I, Whose Name is Holy, dwell in the high and lofty place, with him that is of a broken and contrite spirit".  Is this among the church today or not?  Is brokenness, contrition and the pursuit of holiness our objective and priority?   I find it hard to have conversations among saints about holiness; I find them absent from the lifestyles and daily practices of many in the pulpits and pews.  Yet, it is the highest marks that God sets as a standard to be Christ-like.  This should not be void or distant from the church, but as a sweet smelling aroma before God and before the world.

Now understand that in making a generalization of these statuses, it is not as precise as I or you may want, but it is reflective of our position and condition.  The ignoring, or the defensive position to excuse, or explain our folly away is to miss the point, and that this is also a part of the crisis.  Way too many in the church when such conversations come up immediately go on the defensive position that 'we aren't so bad'.  Brethren, its a crisis hour for a reason, and nothing short of addressing such things is necessary

And lastly, for the moment, there has been the quickening of the church to seek through prayer for real revival.  Now there is still a lot of ignorance in this conversation about prayer and revival, but the desire and seeking for it is definitely increased through the midst of this crisis hour.  But we have not reached that level or the remnant that is talking and seeking revival for holiness, and glorying unto God.  I do believe that many are seeking revival because it is an escape from remedial judgements and a return to former days of solace and increase of goods without the product of our present day conditions of harm and evil.

--Response of the people, saint and sinner

It seems that without an urgent understanding of our crisis hour, that men's hearts will fail them.  The church will not be moved enough to respond to this crisis hour, thus hastening the final response of God upon a sinful nation and disobedient people. So that as we see the response, or the failure to respond of the church, the sinner, the heathen, become more blatant, more profound in their disdain for the things of God.  Oh, how they rail on the church, with this seemingly master plan to eradicate God from all avenues and venues of our society and future.  The sinners of this hellish agenda, are pawns of Satan, and they are rapidly advancing this agenda in our day.  Unfortunately, the saint seems to be oblivious to this and in its sleeping mode, its apathy, it is allowing for it to gain momentum.

So here we are now at a tipping point, I believe in this year.  God has waited for His church to stir itself up and seek Him.  Not only for Who He is, for all Christians should seek Him and find Him and not let Him go.  But also for what we see in this day.  In times of trials, afflictions, difficultites, God's people will seek His face and hand of help for the hour of need.  But this is not the case; we are only seeking Him halfheartedly.  And with the arising of interest in revival and prayer, one would think the simply desire to see God's mighty hand work wondrously as in days gone by.  But alas! the hearts of men fail because the spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.

Now with the failure of the church to arise, evil has taken the ground.  Now God is able to 'come suddenly'.  But it will be because the Lord stirred the heart of someone and they got alone with Him and prevailed.  The very existence of our future is found in the response of the church today.  The half-heartedness practiced by so many will not avail; there must be another spirit within us that causes us to pray so as to prevail with Him.  Without that spirit of prevailing, Satan and evil will swallow up our future and our loved ones.  It is solely based on the response of the church in this hour to prevail.  Everything is at stake here and now.

It begins with me.  Each one of us, has to examine where we are and where we need to be.  Only in the corporate times is their blessings when the individual has gotten right with God.  My thoughts, my words, my deeds, my time spent must all be examined and to see, is it for me? or is it for Him?

2.  Where are we headed

If the current status of our crisis hour is not enough to cause an alarm of response by the church, and/or by the nation; then perhaps where we are headed may do so.  But needless to say, there is a warning, that as things get worse, it does not guarantee a humble, contrite spirit by men.  For in Revelation, we read that when God is pouring out the judgements of wrath in the end time, that men would not repent; but they cursed God.  It is not enough for the church to rest on disaster and crisis to get us to respond rightly.  For the hearts of men may fail and harden, just as Pharaoh did.  And just as the 10 plagues upon Egypt constricted upon the people, upon the land, upon life, so too this is we are headed in this crisis hour.  The answer is clear, we are headed for greater, more historic and epic calamities in the days ahead.

Let us examine and see the progression of evil that is causing this crisis hour to deepen into chaos, and greater sorrow for our future.

--Activity of men;  Jesus declared, 'that out of the heart proceedeth these evil things'.  As the heart and the minds of men during the days of Noah were of greater evil, so we see the increase today.  'and God saw that the thoughts of men were continually evil'.  This will increase as men multiply, sinners increase and holiness lessens.  The absence of God in our nation over the last 50 years is alarming.  and this void of God has been filled with hell.  We are reaping this that has been sown for these decades.  Therefore we see the greater destruction on our land and know the certainty, that without a Divine repeal of this course, men will grow worse and worse in their conduct, thoughts, words and deeds.

These are the reasons we see in the headlines, greater moments of disasters, school shootings, mass shootings, drug epidemics, divorce, broken lives, broken homes.  Seeing there is the absence of God, there is nothing to stop this progression and increase of evil on the streets, in the homes, and in the souls of men.  More records of evil, greater evidences of the practice of perversion, legalizing and judicial edicts to promote and increase the practice of men to increase evil. These things do not come out of no where, they have been brought forth in people in days gone by.  Paul writes in Romans 1 about the great evil of the Roman empire.  These things are brought back and introduced upon a nation, a society again.

Men grow more evil and more sinful.  All this leads to that Romans 1, 'God gives them over to a reprobate mind'.  Their evils increase, all the while the church decreases.  And I do believe that at the center of it, is the intercessors are removed from the land, thus God can send forth His judgements because there is none to 'stand in the gap' to plead with God,  'in wrath remember mercy'.  These evils deepen in the mind set, in the daily practices of men and they pervert the next generation that it only escalates in provoking God.  Too often in history and in the bible with Israel and Judah we see this truth unfold to their own demise.  Knowing this truth, one would believe that the church should respond to this crisis hour, rather than vacation and retreat from it.

--greater catastrophes;  Now again, everything of the future is dependent on the current response of the church today.  Failure of the church to respond, allows for these things to increase in disaster and destruction.  God allows for Satan and the choices of men to be played out due to their forsaking and forgetting Him.  Looking at the places of where current remedial judgements are happening, we see the increase of catastrophes to impact and affect.  One of the most central areas we have seen this centruy thus far, is in natural catastrophes.  Wildfires, hurricanes, floods, tornadoes, and drought are the biggest ones.  But this does not rule out the other things often forgotten, such as earthquakes, volcanoes, and war.  The demise of the home, marriage, impacting future generations is without weight of the impact on this increase of evil.  Satan has masterfully done this as the church not only falls prey to it, but holds no sense of urgent reclaiming of this lost Godly establishment.

--greater loss of life;  this has been one of the notable increases of alarm in our crisis hour, and there is no reason to suspect it will lessen, but will only increase; it is the loss of life.  Greater numbers of death have gone from the 1's and 2's, to the dozens, and now in to the 1,000's.  Death and dying the final assault on life; robbed of opportunity, time, and failure to prepare for eternity is the worst scenario.

--greater evil; One of the things that has been observed thus far into this century, is the great increase of evil in the minds and hearts of men.  Jesus said, 'out of the heart proceeds these things of sin/evil'.  And we are seeing in the headlines all the evil, that 30 years ago, we would never have imagined to see in our life time.  And we are now left with that question, how far will this go?  Without a Divine intervention that stops this forward progress of evil, it will increase and grow worse.  Many look to the prophecy that in the last days things shall grow worse and worse.

3.  What is the Answer for our Day

I am convinced that we are in a day of two paths, revival or judgement.  But this is not to limit that they may be the same path;  in judgement, revival may come.  Or after God sends real revival, the judgement pending may occur, as it did upon the death of King Josiah, for the sins of Manasseh.  On our continued course, as I have written above, final judgement on our nation and the church in North America is certain.  Yet, knowing God's response, reactions and reasons, He is able to change it all by Manifesting His Divine Presence.  so let us look at these two courses and see the potential of a Divine answer for our day in which God is glorified, souls are saved, the church is pleasing to Him, holiness is restored and sin and evil are overcome.

1.  Revival;  the Divine visitation by God is the needed response for the church today.  No works or men has helped, nor lasted.  No means, methods, or ministries have prevailed over this increase of evil and crisis hour.  We need God, and Him alone.  For found in Him is all that the church will ever need to prevail the evil of our day.  Failure to see God come in power of His glory for the redemption of the lost, the sanctifying of the saints, will bring us to our end.  Nothing short of God's Spirit upon the church will do, this must be understood.  Failure to understand only allows for the humanism of church leaders to continue in their humanistic approach to do Divine things without the Divine Presence.

--the prayer movement; Greg Frizzell has taught for decades now that the prayer movement has steadily increased over the last 50 years; however, we have also seen the decrease in church, baptisms, holiness and an increase in evil.  so it can be deduced that something is wrong with the prayer movement.  It is great to have a swell of numbers participating.  But the prayer movement must evaluate that in these numbers are they 'saying ' prayers, going through the motions of prayer, or are they bent on prevailing in prayer.

With the focus of many on prayer, it is of great encouragement.  But one danger is, that the focus and contentment of prayer is solely or mostly on the increase in numbers or conversation about prayer.  No, I believe with all my heart that prayer of the one or two, alone with God, tucked away in that secret closet prevails more than 2000 in an open prayer meeting that 'goes through the motions'.   When Rees Howell's wife shared with Leonard Ravenhill about her husband having that time in his life, that he was sealed away with God for 11 months.  she said, 'there's the room that he would pray 12 hours a day and the only day he missed was the day his mother died.  such groanings and pleadings came from that room.'   Ah, I believe this to be the most needed thing in the prayer movement.  How much is done by the intercessor, unbeknownst to men, but known to God!

--holiness;  I wrote above on this in the status of the church, but it is needful to address it here for it is the chief characteristic of real revival.  Watching Christians, and the church slip further into sin, compromise with the world, ungodly choices, it is quite apparent that we are not holy, as He is holy.  Now when revival comes, it will restore holiness to the church.  Too long as the church has been seduced, ravaged, and defiled by Satan, self and sin.  The striving of each Christian is to make sure the old is dead, put away and banished; and the new is embraced, followed and obeyed.  And this much is true, one of the great things of revival, God's people look and sound like God's people.  there is no more a divided stance, lifestyle or pattern of sin.

And this holiness indwelt by Christ and the power of the Holy Ghost is drastically increased into daily lives, homes, communities and the church.  It becomes a desire and appetite like none other. Holiness prevails among the church and sin and evil is put down.  Great advancements of the church is made in missions, evangelism, spiritual disciplines because we are at one with the Father.  Why the church cannot see this and pursue this today, I do not know!  But because these things are absent, yet they still want baptisms, souls saved, churches planted and grown; yet, they do not want to do it God's way.  Holiness is not sought nor restored, but humanism is the language and prevails in the plans of the church.

But during the days of revival, all that is wrong, is made wrong; sin is put away and holiness is returned to God's people as it should be.

2.  Judgement; Let there be no mistake on this.  We are under judgement right now.  these remedial judgements are coming upon us, for the sake of God's people humbling themselves and returning to their first love.  Now whether we see the whole nation, or the whole church return as in the fashion, above mentioned of real revival, is yet to be seen.  But whether revival comes or not, it is a Sovereign act of God.  but one thing is certain, God will judge America.   Abortion, homosexuality, greed, self, lusts, perversion, continuance of evil and sin; all the while, the hearts of men, the souls of men delivered to reprobate minds, lives forfeited for the pleasures of this world, all the while forsaking the hope of pleasures in eternity with Christ.  this is our world and time.  How few in the realms of our nation, of our churches are those souls  'plucked from the burning'.  'Few there be that be saved'; 'but many there be that perish on that broad and wide way that leads to eternal damnation.'

Is God not able?  Is not willing to rescue? to deliver?  Most certainly He is and He has stated, 'I would that none perish; I would that none would go away from Me.'  However, we know this is God's will, but God has allowed for the choices and the hearts of men to make that decision of saying 'yea' to Hm, or 'nay' to Him.  Just as it was in the days of Noah, that judgement was coming, and that God knew it, and prepared for it.  HE made Noah spend over 100 years building an ark and preaching to the people a warning, 'to flee from the wrath to come'.  And just as Jonah was sent by God's mercy to preach to  Nineveh that they had 40 days before judgement.   Yet, in this situation, the king and the whole city humbled themselves and repented and they found God's mercy.  But Jonah arrived preaching the same thing, 'repent, for the wrath of God is coming.'   Judgement;  'flee from the wrath to come' is upon us as a nation, and as the church.  this is  due to the souls of men,for  'their hearts were continually evil toward God'.

The understanding of judgement almost seems as it is void in the minds of the church and definitely in the wicked, lost souls of this nation.  But judgement is that God meets men in this place of wickedness and cuts them off.  Or as the phrase of the wicked kings of Israel, 'removed them from the earth'.  After giving time, after mercy, after grace, after proclamation God rises up and meets them in His wrath.  Long has God's long-suffering been with us to give us time; time in which we have squandered and missed.

PRAYER BLOG - March 21, 2018

Greetings,

"Here is the patience of the saints:  here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus."  Revelations 14:12

I was much moved at this phrase as I was coming through the close of my word/phrase study project.  'Here is the patience of the saint', from those that refused to bow, to serve Babylon, the beast, receive the mark of his evil, there is found this blessing upon God's Own.  They possess their souls for the continued, long path of life to serve, to obey, to love, to follow, to bring glory to our Lord and King.  The soul is the absolute battleground of every living person.  God has made a way for the soul, born in trespasses and sins, to be redeemed.  Satan comes to devour, destroy and own the souls of men that they may perish as he shall perish forever and ever.  He is working with a vengeance for the souls of men.  And we largely, as the church, have not countered his fury for the souls of our family, friends and nation.   But the redeemed, the called, the saved, they are preserved, kept, protected, delivered by the mighty hand of God.  Just as Jesus prayed for the disciples, for Peter, for the future church:  "Keep these that are Mine"; "Peter, I have prayed for you"; and "not only for these, but for those to come yet".   And what was the prayer?  For them to possess their souls in the patient work of sanctification.

When we talk of our testimony, it is powerful and wonderful to hear the salvation story of each redeemed one.  "How did Jesus save you?"  Great answers to prayer come from these accounts.  But that was one day lost, and then one day now saved;  I once was blind, but now I see.  And now after the lostness, after the blindness what are you doing for the Lord?  What are we undertaking each day in our walk with the Lord?  How are you doing at possessing your souls?  Are you exhibiting the patience of the saints?    Brethren, herein is the answer to warring a good warfare for our Lord while we are here on this earth.  And herein is the only way that we shall hear those words, 'Well done, thou good and faithful servant'.

Here at the close of March, gearing up for the Easter celebration, let us examine ourselves to see that within this first 1/4 of this year we are showing 'the patience of the saints'.
Have you been faithful?
Are you praying without ceasing?
Have you digested and ingested the Word of God daily?
Have you shared the 'wondrous story of old' with the lost?
Have you regularly been with the saints in their faithful times of 'coming together'?
Are you more holy now at the end of March, than when we first begun this month? or this year?
Are you growing in grace and knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ?
Can He, Who cannot lie, speak truth, by saying to you and me, 'IN you I am well-pleased'?

Oh, brethren, a little verse in Matthew 5, the sermon on the mount is found a warning against those that seek to offer compromise, short-cuts, irregular disciplines and plans that would fall short of holiness, righteousness and sanctification.    There is no short cuts, there is no grounds for compromise; either 'we is', or 'we aint' His.  And if we would fight the good fight, if we would posses our souls, have the patience of the saints it will be found in this truth of holding fast, being much alone with Him.  Remember Andrew Murray's words, 'Alone with God, will make one much for God'.    this is a life time battle, a race for our short time here on earth to prepare us for all eternity.  and whether 29 or 99 it is how we lived each day.

therefore, let us cast off all self, sin and world.  Let it not be named among us of the things that the world does.  'Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world; for all that is in the world, is enmity with God'.  Ever mindful of that which the Spirit is convicting, revealing to us that is not well pleasing to God.  May it be the priority and agenda of each one of us to be filled with all fullness of Him and in Him;  Spirit filled from top to bottom.

Seek to serve Him in each way that He offers, provides and allows for us to do so.  And know this that it is not about one time a month, that at the close of the year, we can only say, "I served the Lord 12 times, 52 times this year' Knowing that the math is evidence of our failure, for it is 12 out of 365; it is 52 out of 365; revealing a sinful, slothful 3% or 14%.   this is not acceptable by any stretch of knowing the truth.  We are to be all for Him.  'More, more about Jesus would I know;  more of His face to see'.

Now brethren, it is the last times.  Great conflict and spiritual wrestling is upon us for this year.  Now the Lord is teaching me on this more and more.  Still very much unknown to me, and definitely not mastered yet is this thing called prevailing prayer.  But this much I know, it is the higher calling upon me and you, as the remnant, to pray so as to prevail.  And I am convinced that success in this, is found from the above truths of possessing our souls, and the patience of the saints.  To be much before Him, to hear from Him, to be led of Him, to know His desire and will;  and to pray it.  He can not reveal Himself to the soul that does not possess its own self, but is manipulated by the devil and the flesh.  To him that is not patient in this race of endurance to last until the end in His sweet graces, cannot be used to prevail in prayer.  For the one thing, we quench and grieve the Holy Spirit, but much more we know that self and sin, 'gives an occasion against the Lord' as His Own.

And if there will be a revival upon the church in North America and to the ends of the earth, it will be because of these truths manifested by the children of God as mentioned above.  There will be voids of sinfulness and worldliness;  there will be a rapid appetitie for holiness and sanctification;  the saints will possess their souls in all ways of thought, words, deeds, use of time, and expression of gifts; and they will be found separate from this world, and aglow of God's rich, precious Divine Spirit upon them (And they took knowledge of them that they had been with Jesus).

The very humanistic, self-centered, wordly church that is void of a knowledge and application of the Word of God, a prayerless church and empty secret closets will not prevail in this.  God always finds a man or woman to prevail, before it is ushered forth upon the rest of the church.   And until that point, the remedial judgements are revealing His wrath, fury and anger toward us.  For we, the church, know better but we are not doing better.  And even though, He will judge the nation, the government for their folly;  we also will be judged more fiercer for 'to him that knoweth to do good and doeth it not to him it is sin.'  And we know; but are we doing it?   the recognition of the church of just how far short we are is of ever such importance to lead to brokenness, contrition, weeping, wailing, confession and repentance.  But for now, much of the church is at a place of justifying itself.

and if this point of correction never comes, it is certain that God will remove us from the earth.  'Repent, lest I come and remove your candlestick'.  We are nearing to this than what many know.  Woe to him that understands these things, knows of these things, and yet, refuses to have the patience of the saints, to posses their souls, to war a good warfare.  Brethren, for such a time as this, God has called us forth, to be the people of God for His eternal glory and honor; and to see the kingdom of God done here on earth, as it is in heaven.

PRAYER TARGETS
--Austin bomber;  such an unity prayer offered up by so many on social media of prayer and church leaders on Monday, by Tuesday, it was ended;  Prevailing;   And I am left with the question, "Why can't we do this on all the other evils of our nation and future?'
--continued school shooting; cops kill another black man unarmed; hostage situations increase; Death, Dying & Destruction upon our land.  This flood of evil is almost more than one can stand.  But in lieu of what shall be, these are only 'the beginning of sorrows'.  I write to appeal to you to be ever vigilant and prayerful against the forces of evil.  For on the horizon there is coming another evil.  What is it?  I have no idea; another mass shooting; school shooting, i don't know;  but I've been here before and know that it is ready to happen.  Stand fast brethren, he is coming; our enemy is coming; to use the agents he employs to do his evil works upon our land.  O God, deliver us from evil.
--drugs;  Trump and congress going over opioid crisis;  remedy for them is fix drug issue with drugs;  such language of humanism, no seeking God, just 'We will fight this;  we will fix this'.  Well 'we' aren't going to do anything without God;  but with God all things are possible.
--murder-suicides;  been rather quiet, yet, numerous moment of attempts have been in the news;  still higher ration this year, than previous to me;
--economy; last week hit $21 trillion in debt;  numerous other reports of the 'love of money' coming to a head soon;  and always the reports that the next financial crisis will sink the world;
--disease/pestilence; measles outbreak in Europe;  Lassau fever in NIgeria;  super bugs, resistance;
--war;  it is clear that war is coming;  my son is in the army and I have spoken to him, that in his time of service he will see conflict;  Syria; North Korea; China and Pacific, everything of saber rattling is happening and increasing with each new development.    Pray now for mass evangelism for many will die by the scores in this conflict and ushered out into eternity.  'Work while it is day; for the night cometh when  no man can work'
--Boko Haran/ISIS; my continued nemesis of evil that Satan is using to afflict, attack and annihilate the church, and people;  may evil be put down and brought to justice; may peace be restored; Deliver O Lord

PRAYER BLOG - MARCH 14, 2018

Greetings,

". . . that your prayers be not hindered"  I Peter 3:7

Most do not pay attention in the Scriptures to what they say about prayers being heard and prayers being not heard.  The false teaching, or half truth that circulates through the Sunday School classes and even from the pulpits is that 'God hears all prayers'.  And close on its heels is the false truth, therefore 'God answers all prayer'.  Well that is not truth; and if a half-truth, or not truth, then it is a lie.  And lies proceed from the father of lies, from hell itself, the devil.  These Scriptures should teach us and remind us that prayer is dependent on many things of whether it is heard and whether it will be answered.

Are we asking amiss?  Is it the Lord's will?  Who gets the glory from this prayer answered or not?  Is it consistent with God's Word and ways?  Such questions determine, by Scripture, whether we are praying aright.  Such questions generally are not asked, nor addressed.  When their prayers are not answered, they get angry with God; they blame God; they accuse God.   But God answers that by saying, 'This is not My will nor for My glory.'  Prayers are hindered, limited, restrained and left unheard and unanswered by many a praying person.

This particular section in I Peter, is that prayers are hindered because the husband was not treating his wife right.  Sin was present and engaged;  sin hinders prayer.  Psalms tells us that if we regard iniquity in our hearts, the Lord will not hear us.  Unheard prayers by God are due to the sin of men.  And if the prayers are not received by God, then there is no answering to them.  The promise of Jeremiah 33:3, 'Call unto Me, and I will answer you', is a lesson tied into this truth.  You can call as much as you want - this is for those that become defensive when they are questioned about their prayer times and life; 'I pray all the time'; 'God hears all my prayers'; or 'God answers all my prayers'.   To such people as this, I warn you, stay away from them and avoid at all costs.  For such like this, do not understand the Word of God.

But it is necessary to understand the prayers received and the prayers rejected.  And if received, why; and if rejected, why.  The charatceristics are of utter importance to a successful prayer life.  A few guidelines for our praying rightly:
--pray God's heart, not your heart;
--pray with holy, clean hands, hearts and tongues, not with defiled, sinful bodies;
--pray in faith with belief, not in the sin of unbelief or doubt;
--pray according to God's revealed will in His Word and in history;
--pray more for spiritual than fleshly, eternal than temporal;

And recognize that God's will is right, good and perfect.  If there is a reason of timing, delay, not yet you are not defiled, unbelieving, or seeing it answered, there is a reason.  Trust in God, He cannot fail.  Yet, His timing is not ours'.  Be not half-hearted, occasionally, doing it, but be resolved to daily, moment by moment, be much in prayer with a whole heart to see it done for His glory.  Too many fail in this discipline of praying because of time and energy to invest.  Prevailing prayer cannot come from weak-kneed or half-heartedness.

And understand this truth, that the means of praying is so as to prevail with God.  To be satisfied with unanswered prayer demonstrates that something is wrong.  In such a day as ours', we must pray;  and not just pray, but prevail in prayer.   Everything is in the balances of our nation, the church, families, our very own future; and prayer is the means to secure God's favor and blessings for His kingdom's work.  To fail in this, only allows for Satan to have his will and way.  Brethren, pray!  And pray that your prayers be not hindered.

Prayer Targets
--quite apparent, I believe, that war is imminent for our nation;  this remedial judgement is again a means of judgement on our nation for its 'forgetting and forsaking the Lord'; and our enemies may get the best of us again due to our sins;  But even though North Korea situation seems to be diffusing, the issues in Syria and the antagonist of China and Russia are at an all time high again.
--drugs;  numbers accumulating for 2017 and showing the numbers to be greatly increasing for emergency OD and one would believe the death rate to run with that increase; legalization of drugs for drugs as a remedy is the lack of discernment for our day;
--murder-suicides; tragically someone sent to me out of Pensacola, FL of a pastor/educator at a Christian college that took the lives of his two teenage children, and then killed himself;   in the church out of the church we are susepctible to this evil;
 --LGBT;  this evil will continue and the attacks and warfare will get worse against Christians and the church;  prepare and war a good warfare now;
--Boko Haran & Isis;  great evil still working, although limited, still killing, maining and stealing;
--New Guinea; earthquakes shook for 2 weeks this area;  complete devastation and loss of life there;
--Lassau Fever - Nigeria;  over 1000 affected;  deaths increasing at this fever that has no remedy;

Update:
--word/phrase study - 47th time through, just finishing up I Peter, 30 pages to go;  so excited;
--bible reading - 48th time through, finishing Daniel;
--sermon from Sunday service at Keyser did not record;  no uploads;  Fox's Hollow service, my two boys, Jacob and Philip stepped in for me;  nothing but praises and good reports from their job;
--A Word; only 2 verses to finish Isaiah chapter 50,  starting into chapter 51;
--24/7 prayer chain still in need of prayer partners for each week;
--no other work done on danbiser.blogspot.com

PRAYER BLOG - MARCH 7, 2018

Greetings,

"The word of the Lord came again unto me, saying, Son of man, prophesy and say, Thus saith the Lord God; Howl ye, Woe worth the day! For the day is near, even the day of the Lord is near, a cloudy day; it shall be the time of the heathen."

When you read through the Old Testament you see the progression from blessed times of King David, to their slow, centuries filled of vacating God.  In Jeremiah, the warnings come, 'You have forgotten Me, and forsaken Me;  and now I will forget you, and forsake you.'  And then into the prophet Ezekiel we go, reading of a people and the nations that are judged by God for their folly and sin.  This particular verses of chapter 30 is dealing with Egypt; but again, all Scripture, every word of it, is timeless for God's purpose and warnings.   There is a day coming for our nation, for our future, that has slowly been shadowing us over these last years of what is to come.  And as we view this time of remedial judgements now, it is a hard thing to watch unfold;  but knowing that there is  greater judgements to come it is almost too much to bear.

I have written and shared for some time on the remedial judgements happening upon our nation, churches and families.  At first initial spotting these judgements I was more prone to believe that they were simply prayer targets, something to be prayed against or prayed for.  But as the consistency of these judgements have increased and widening in their death and destruction, I know now that God's hand has gone out against us.  This flood of evil has led me to cry out in great alarm 'Woe Worth the Day!' because of what is happening and what shall happen.

but never did I forsee the increase to what is happening or  better said - "What shall be"; future judgements that will ultimately lead to our destruction.   But as time has gone on, and the judgements have widened and increased, the handwriting on the wall is becoming clearer, our time is running out.  And at moments for me, and others in the prayer movement, these happenings provoke an urgency upon us to prevail before the Lord.  A failure to prevail in this will usher the judgements, will dash all hopes of the great revival we want, and will seal the fate of millions that are damned to hell.  Much is upon the church to prevail.  A urgent, desperate message which the great majority of the church knows nothing of.

The churches primary emphasis seems, to me, to be ministry.  Church ministry, pastoral ministry, a ministry for everything and anything is upon the churches.  Now there is nothing wrong with this, except to observe and see if it be Divine ministry from the Lord's calling or initiative, or carnal ministry, devised from the minds and hearts of men.  I hear too much and see too much evidence of ministry in the churches today, carries more humanism than spiritualism; more temporal, than eternal; more carnal than spiritaul.  They garner the pronouns of "I", 'ME' "WE";  but little is heard of the unction and anointing of the Lord upon the endeavor of said ministry.   Every true ministry can testify and evidence that the Lord birthed in them and through them and God is glorified.  But ministry of 'to do something' produces none of this.

It is hard to garner a conversation about the great need and fulfillment of the following:

--You cannot talk about 'revival'; and when I say revival, I'm talking about where sin is put down, whole communities and the greater part of the nation is chastised and called to accountability.  I'm talking about revival where God shows up and says to His church as He said to Job, 'Give an account to Me, answer me'.  And Job writhed in the dust and humbled Himself in the Presence of God, as all revivals do to His saints.   People may pray and talk about this.  But the whole issue of why so much prayer about it, but still unacheived?  Leonard Ravenhill stated the truth on it for all of us:  'The reason why revival tarries, is because we are content to live without it".   The remnant loves to hear, pray and talk about revival, it is their burden; but the whole of the church has no heavenly/earthly idea of what real revival is.
--You cannot talk about Holiness.  I think this is one reason that I started this word study throughout the Bible to mark all reference to unholy and holy.  But when you reference complete sanctification, holy as God is holy; the crickets start chirping and the conversation ends.  And to discuss, share, hear talk about being holy in our daily lives, I have never seen so many Christians get so defensive, so angry at the church and their own selves being questioned if they are holy or not.   If you are doing the spiritual disciplines, and maintaining holiness; why are you so defensive on your daily living?  I would think the only ones that would become defensive is the ones not really doing it.  But for the bride of Christ, who know their Lord and His holiness, they love to talk about it, pray for it, and seek it;  but for the carnal Christian, unholiness is a norm to them - something's wrong with this.
--You cannot talk perfection.  Go ahead and quote Deuteronomy 18 and Matthew 5, 'Thou shalt be perfect with the Lord thy God'.  and the first ones to argue it is the church.  Then why did God give a clear command?   They won't even discuss it, just dismiss it.  I can think of nothing more like hell, than to dismiss the Word of God.

These are several issues to me of great importance on how the church is living daily in this world and how we are walking with the Lord.  And if we be found unfaithful to these things, we understand why the evil has multiplied.  We let down our guard, we let down our hands, as Moses did and the Amalekites prevailed.  We didn't war a good warfare, and Satan has taken full advantage of our carnal, temporal, selfish, sinful lifestyles as His church and His saints.  There is a price to pay for such living; there is a judgement for such that live like this; 'for where much is given, much is required'.   Woe worth the day!

Now walk with me over the last 20 or so years;  this century so far, we will look at, and speak your minds on this.
1. Drugs - we see the limited practice of opium and other drugs leading up to the 1980's;  but in the 1980's due to wealth increase and a society built for fun and entertainment, drugs became a norm for society.  That slow demise has swept to our epidemic today of all aspects of our culture and society.  It all started with the few and Satan edges it to consume the whole.  Death and destruction has increased with the product and the potency of these drugs.  And death is as real for every community unlike anything that we have seen before.
2.  Murder-suicides - great tragedies of this nature, were few and far between 30 years ago.  If there was one a year, I think that to be stretching it, leading up to 2000.  But since then, and especially the last 10 years I have followed this increase from one a month, or one every two months to now every week, if not at its height, every two to three days.  Again the rise in numbers, the impact on more and more communities and families.  This will become the next issue as cancer and drugs that I say, 'Tell me what family has not had to deal with cancer in a loved one, or had to deal with the drug use in a family member(s)."  Soon this great evil will be upon every household.
3.  Family - divorce rates began to increase, family unit under attack, mixed homes, now neglect and abandon, coupled with the drugs, and the older generation is raising the younger.  That which God intended has now become a nightmare for our future.   Did we ever think 30 years ago, it would look like this?  To have a grasp in another 10 or 20 years of what it will look like is beyond me to consider or grasp the horror of the American home.  But this I am certain, it will all but be extinct.
4.  Cops being shot and the rise of homicides and mass shootings - we heard and knew in the 1980's of the increase of murder by gangs, drugs trafficking, etc.  But to become so personal in schools, churches, and mass shootings like we have seen since 2000 I don't believe any one foresaw.  But where we will go in the next 10 years.  The bar is high and the numbers are low for school shootings and mass shootings;  someone will come along with a means and way to increase the impact of numbers, mirroring the terrorists and their huge numbers of 1000's.  This evil comes from many venues of violence, access, means and opportunity; and to stop those things is almost beyond the power of government or any one.  At the root of it all is evil.  Satan possessing his agents, tempting them in their pain and grief to act out in violence, and they employ their means.   Cut off the evil and the death stops.  How long before we figure this one out?
5.  LGBT - never have we seen such a plague from hell as this that is attacking minds, hearts, homes, lives and our very future.   Is this what Rome looked like before its fall?   Transgenders numbers are escalating at rates no one foresaw and this is destroying the very identity of who we are and what we will be.  Satan is having a field day with this, and the church largely is silent and powerless to do anything about it.
This may be our final undoing, the last nail in the coffin.

These are some of the scenarios of current headlines and happenings, so far in this year, 2018.  These happenings and numbers will only increase throughout this year.  For our greatest opportunity came last September and church leadership failed to respond to the moment.  Whether they didn't see it, or agree with what I was saying, remains to be seen.  But this much is sure, they refused to take any action.  Except the action they always take after the tragedy, 'Let's pray'.  In order for these things to change and be undone, it will require a prayer movement intentionally engaged to 'war a good warfare'.  And everything is at stake.  Failure to prevail, means our certain destruction and desolation as a nation.

There is a weak movement right now for prayer regarding revival.  some areas are more encouraging than others, but across the whole, there is not the solid warfare needed to defeat Satan's agenda and prevail with God for His Sovereign Divine Presence.  But this is the answer for our day, we need His Divine Presence to fall upon us and meet us.   Revival to undo our present course of destruction and give a window of 'showers of blessings' and great grace.  And much like the days of Josiah, that God had already forewarned that Manasseh's sins would not be forgiven, but the blood he shed would be required at the death of Josiah.  Twenty years after Josiah's death under Zedekiah, Babylon sacked Jerusalem and carried the land off to 70 years of captivity.   And much the same for us, abortion may be overturned, there is definitely a movement happening; but regardless, what do you do with the blood of 60 million babies already on our hands?

This renewed call to prevail in prayer is for right now.  There is no regarding for future plans next year, or end of year.  If we don't prevail right now, there may not be an end of the year.  The clouds on the horizon are definitely the shapes and patterns of world war.   And I fear that this may be one of our next remedial judgements if the church does not humble itself and confess and seek Him with all their heart.  The hour is late, and the need is great.
While there today, 'Howl ye, Woe worth the day!  The day of the Lord is near'.  yea, even now, upon us through severe remedial judgements.  And the clouds on the horizon are not favorable to our nation or to our future.  Brethren, may we enter into a renewed time of seeking Him; confessing and humbling ourselves before Him; walking after Him and with Him;  being holy as He is holy and seek for that state of perfection that is found in those that are 'well pleasing in His sight'.  Time is running out and the spirit of urgency is upon my soul.

Prayer Targets:
--drugs; new stats are coming in showing ER cases are up above 30 % increase for overdoses;  I'm assuming the death rate will be closely linked to that.   2016 - 63,000 deaths;  2017 estimated over 70,000;
--LGBT; new studies reporting that teenager numbers are growing for those that are removing gender;  The absurdity in this is revealing that God is 'giving us over to a reprobate mind'.  The generation of the yesterday is reaping greater evil than any one of us could have foreseen.  This is hugely detrimental to our nation and future.
--cops being shot and killed;  another 1 in Missouri and 2 more wounded last night;  reports of 18 killed thus far this year;  remedial judgement on order, civility;
--school shooting, mass shooting; almost a dozen other school shooting plans have been found out and thwarted since last months' FL shooting;  begging the question, how many more are in the works.   nothing has been changed in our provoking the Lord, thus another mass shooting and school shootings will be a part of our future;  and we will continue to hear the terms 'historic' & 'record' number of deaths and instances;
--murder-suciide; homicide; suicide;  This judgement is random, but consistent across the nation and a weekly happening.  The homicide rate in places like Chicago and other big cities is a daily factor of death and dying and destruction;
--ISIS & Boko Haran - figrues and labors of evil, agents being used by hell to bring stealing, maiming, killing and destruction on ways of life world wide;  terror agents;
--plague - Lassa fever in Nigeria;  no vaccine;  over 1000 cases already;  dozens dead, especially health workers;  20% death rate to those that contract;

 --religious freedom; Supreme Court ruling in June;  other cases popping up of churches and Christians under assault to proclaim, live and share God's Word of truth;  lawsuits, threats and attacks in our own land;  all of which erodes our freedom;  This is a short windwo for our freedom; and it will be gone soon.  enjoy and make the most of it while its still here.
