Considerations to pray for: world, nation, state, county, city, church, family (families) and our own heart.
World
- revival;
- our IMB missionaries, bring before the Lord those that are serving & the several hundred that may need to return to limited funding; pray for the financial support and filling of the Holy Spirit;
-pray against evil being afflicted of ISIS; salvation of these Muslims;
-pray against Boko Haran and evil in Nigeria region; great atrocities by this man against Christians, churches, women and children;
Nation
-great need of revival to come to churches in our nation;
-330 million population; over 300 million lost and without Christ;
-racial unrest and great conflict in fabric of our society;
-drug epidemic sweeping across our nation; (prescription drugs & drugs on streets)
-pray for leaders and courts;
-pray against evil that lies in wait to be used of Satan; we saw much evil in public shootings and terror attacks;
-pray for cities of New Orleans, ST. Louis, Baltimore, Chicago and Washington, DC that had record number of homicides in 2015;
State
-revival for our state;
-1.8 million; 1.4 without Christ;
-drug epidemic;
-families in great need physically, emotionally and spiritually;
-legislation to support churches, pastors in marriages against lawsuits; pray for the new year agenda of house of delegates, Senate and Governor;
Cities
-revival;
-local issues - drugs, families, schools, etc.
-unity among churches;
-pray for protection and against evil;
-murder-suicides is another epidemic that has grown in recent years affecting many of our local areas;
Churches
-our greatest need is for real revival to come upon the church; upon us individually and corporately;
-holiness to be our mandate; pray against carnality, false religions, lies of the enemy;
-pray for one another, burdens that we carry, pray for unity;
-eternity and spiritual mindedness in this year for our labors for His glory and honoe;
You
-worship of the Lord for salvation, calling, provisions, mercies and His favor;
-confession of sins and repentance of any and all sin that grieves the Holy Spirit from us;
How is your bible reading? May I suggest you use this year to read the Bible through.
How is your prayer life? 'Give yourself unto prayer'; make time(s) to pray alone and with others;
How is your quiet time? Use a good devotional, meditate on the Word and allow for the Spirit ot speak to you for this year. Make a daily habit to be before the throne.

2016 WVCSB - PRAYER
"But I give myself unto prayer" - Psalm 109:4
Greetings,
As we prepare to begin a new year, let us give ourselves unto prayer. Our world is groaning, our nation is accelerating evil, families are coming apart at the seams and the church is without the power of God to do any thing about it. The one thing that we know, is that when God's people prevail in prayer, God's power is evident in the church. We are asking you to consider to join us in making this our theme for 2016, "I give myself unto prayer".
The Christian Life Committee of WVCSB, is desiring to keep you updated on issues that are affecting us in our state, our nation and our churches. We know that each action must be bathed in prayer that will affect our future. We want to keep you up-to-date through 'prayer targets' of how to pray for issues through our legislations, judicial decisions and overall social reactions. Therefore, we will post each month prayer targets to consider for you to individually and corporately to pray for. We desire for us to be joined together in direct response to the promise from Christ, 'If two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of My Father which is in heaven." Matt. 18:19
Acts 1:8, "But ye shall receive power after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto Me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth."
The prayer targets will consist of these 5 areas of interest in relation to Acts 1:8
1. 'Uttermost part of the earth' - our world;
2. 'Samaria' - nation and regions of our nation; for us, east coast & United States;
3. ' Judea' - our state and region; West Virginia & local counties;
4. 'Jerusalem' - city and locale; this includes you respective area of ministry in relation to your church, churches (the body of Christ), associations, etc.
5. 'You' - 'you shall receive power after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and you shall be witnesses'; Your own personal prayer life, secret closet and meditation before the Lord is only as deep as your intimacy with the Lord your God. No prayer, no power; no power, no prayer; No power directly due to no prayer.
We want to encourage you to consider to implement a new prayer emphasis for 2016. These prayer target, devotions, Scriptures and suggestions are simply a means to employ to help each of us to fulfil Psalm 109:4, 'I give myself unto prayer'.

THE CHURCH EMBRACING CARNAL WAYS AND FORSAKING SPIRITUAL WAYS
THE CHURCH CONTINUES TO NEGLECT AND FORSAKE THE WAYS THE LORD HAS ORDAINED AND EMBRACES THE CARNAL, WORLDLY WAYS THAT HAS PROVOKED HIM.
I Corinthians 3:3, 'For ye are yet carnal: for whereas there is among you envying, and strife, and divisions, are ye not carnal, and walk as men?'
Philippians 3:19, 'who mind earthly things'
Colossians 3:2, 'Set your affections on things above, not on things on the earth'
Deuteronomy 18:13, 'Thou shalt be perfect with the Lord thy God'
Matthew 5:48, 'Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect'
These are a few of the verses in Scripture that draws me to consider and answer the question, 'should we use means and methods of this world to further the Gospel?' And this is directly linked to the means and methods of church and prayer leaders touting that the church by watching 'Woodlawn' could spark revival.
Could it? God can do anything, and is in no way limited. in regards to revival, God is sovereign at its coming, sustaining and allowance of its fading. But what means and methods does God use in revival. And is the watching of Woodlawn fall into that. The watching and spending of money to watch TV, movies and all other entertainments in this society has been greatly used by SAtan and sin of self to push us away from God, not draw us nearer to Him. It is a far swing to justify their statements.
Let us answer the following questions. Are these things of the Spirit or of the flesh? Are we eternally minded or temporal minded with these adventures? Are we earthly or heavenly minded? Are these means of God or flesh?
These are all very needful questions to answer, evaluate and respond to in regards to the push by the church leaders to embrace the new icon of our church age, movies to further our Lord's kingdom. There are pro's and con's to this, of which I desire to address and answer in this article.
This is not a new thing with the advance push of 'War Room' and 'Woodlawn'. I am not here to give the history of movies that the church has embraced over the years. But there has been great success with video movie used for evangelism with the 'Jesus' video. Reaching millions with the Gospel where the Gospel was not translate nor to those able to read. Mel Gibson and his catholic background led him to do the movie, 'The Passion of the Christ' in 2004. Box office profits was over $600 million. And then followed the next marker of movie making that impacted the church, 'Facing the Giants' in 2007. This movie was made for $100,000 and profited over $10million.
And the trend has continued for this generation of movie watching, entertainment style worship, and focus on flesh rather than Spiritual. Now all this movie watching has come because this is the way of our society. We have increased with technology, and our society has dictated that TV, movie channels, and computer access has allowed for increased time to watch, go to the movie theatres and spend our energy watching movies. All this happening while we neglect the basics of our Christianity in Bible studying and reading and memorizing; prayer time; and evangelism. But these that are supporting and promoting these ways of movie evangelism is arguing that they are accomplishing this through making and watching movies.
What are we gaining in the way of holiness by these movies? I believe it was Tozer that said, 'what you win them with, is what you keep them with' Meaning that if entertainment is what we seek to bring souls to Christ with, then entertainment is what will have to be used to keep them. But if the church returns to her proper position, that Christ and the Word (which are the same), is used to bring men to Christ, then He will keep them unto Himself.
But when worldly fleshly ways are used, then this is what will be needed to keep them in church, and walking in Christ. The failure to properly lead men to Christ without death to self and true repentance, doesn't help in this process. For many confess Christ; yea, 'even the devils believe in Christ', but that doesn't make them saved. Many have been baptized, with no death to self and no true evidence of resurrection in Christ. Oh, how we need to return to effective evangelism that shows great, lost men in great need of a great SAvior. And that way is told in Scriptures and led forth and converted by the Holy Ghost.

"An Open Letter to the Church Community"

Greetings,
The evil in the headlines and across our nation as greatly subsided and relinquished over the last few days. This is no doubt a great answer to prayers that met this influx of evil from Satan and hell against our land, families and souls. But what now? As the pattern has gone, we pray and rally in the heat of the moment, but as soon as it begins to abate we return to the very things of flesh, carnality, neglects and sin that prompted for God to allow these judgments and punishments. WE are such creatures of unfaithfulness and seem doomed for the path of destruction by our continued course of choices against Him.
My burden over these years has been prevailing prayer for the power and Presence of God to come down upon HIs church and sweep the population. The word that best describes the end result of this means of prayer is REVIVAL. Revival, by my own personal description, means God's manifest Presence; it means God's fullness. The reality of the church and Christianity to the greatest part of the church today is that we are 'settled upon our lees', content with just a little bit of God's Presence, just in case disaster or calamity comes. I often regard it as the fire extinguishers red boxes which states - 'break glass in case of emergency'. God is jealous and will not pandered to such immoral, unholy and low views of His Divine honor and glory.
This burden of prayer has led me to follow in uncharted waters of obedience to places and people that I had no idea at the time, but have a grasp now, of where it was leading. At the center of my ministry is Broken Before the Throne (BBtT). We designed it in 2006 to be a prayer conference to teach/preach, gather and participate in prayer times for long protracted days. Out of these opportunities I have continued to send to church and prayer leaders what God was saying and leading me to do. There was also band of others that followed and interchanged with me of about 70 that also was moved to seek in prayer the Lord's favor and leading.
What I have seen and experienced out of these prayer times of BBtT has been marvelous for furthering the Lord's kingdom. I know it to be right. However, in my own 'humanistic' way, I have sought to promote and encourage BBtT upon many as the means to incorporate to get us to where I so desperately want. All of this has been stopped at every turn. Which always keeps taking me back to the Lord, 'what would You have me do?' I always felt and still feel, this is right and needed. I would see plans, other conferences and promotions and judge them that although good, not near the depth of BBtT achieved. My response to show that we are not aiming high enough or deep enough has led to many that I am negative and my critique to harsh.
This has led me to exist in where I am now. My prayer ministry has continued through other means. Throughout all this time of BBtT I pastored two small churches, now I only pastor the one. But I took to the tech opportunites and social media to continue to promote and teach/preach on prayer. I have three outlets that I use to do this:
1. blog posts: http://dbiser.blogspot.com/ which is my blog for devotional and commentary status for those hungry and devouring the Word of God;
http://danbiser.blogspot.com/ is a blog that I use for letters, such as this, newspaper religious devotionals, addressing other issues of the day that I have sought to express the burden of the Lord on me for our nation, the state of the church and our own situations;
2. Social media - via emails, facebook, twitter, and 'daily prayer emails' which was almost daily for a period of time, now bi-monthly to continue to teach, speak to the issues of our day by the means of our prayer lives;
3. Ustream - which is a cheap, easy means of broadcasting and streaming of sermons, appeals, and BBtT and other teachings on prayer; http://www.ustream.tv/channel/dan-biser
That which the Lord has revealed and spoken to me, I simply posts and promote in the hopes of it taking root and multiplying for this desired end of Revival. It is a learning experience, of what is received and what is not, none of which I can change. And regardless of whether I see revival or not, I must go each day and step to know that at the end of my days, I will have done that which was bidden me. Until the goal is reached nothing short of it is acceptable to me. Thus the reason that I still do what I do and the way in which I do it. We are running out of time, and responses are not near what they should be for the times in which we are.
Thank you to those of you that have invested in my for this pursuit. Thank you to those that have embraced BBtT and the other avenues that I have ventured in by faith. Thank you to those pursuing and praying with me and for the same desired end. Let us remain faithful to the end.

"ALARMS ARE SOUNDING, WHERE IS YOUR RESPONSE CHURCH"

Enough is enough church!! As I left the church the other night, the fire alarms were sounding. I drove just over 2 miles back to my house, and I passed cars and trucks, volunteer firefighters, with their red lights flashing to get to the fire house. I saw fire trucks roaring out to the emergency and meet the need at hand. The alarms sounded and people responded to meet the need.
Well, for our nation, future, families, lost souls and the state of the church today, the alarms are sounding but I do not see the needed response by the church to meet the need. I believe the need is met through prevailing prayer. In my video on my ustream page, I spent over 50 minutes the other night to address the issues behind these alarms. I will not spend great time here writing about them, but state them briefly for our understanding of what is happening for our needed response.

I. What is happening?
--ISIS; a continued evil group being used by Satan for death, destruction and dread;
--Planned Parenthood videos over the last weeks have shown that their butchery of innocent lives is as evil as ISIS;
--police officers being gunned down at a record pace;
--uneasiness between police and society, leading to anarchy and increased crime in many places; a vigilante stance is coming;
--county clerk, and other businesses' and workers being sued, arrested, fired for religious freedom views against homosexuality and the legalizing of this abomination;
--murder-suicides continue;
--public executions at schools, military bases, work place and on the streets;
--judgments through weather phenomena; record heat, drought, and floods;
--judgments through pestilence and disease; mumps, legionnaires disease, bubonic plague, and brain/flesh eating bacteria;
II Why is this happening?
One simple word, sin. We know this is the reason of these judgments and great evils unfolding. Let us see these sins mentioned by name, and by recognizing them we might be able to confess and repent and pray against these evils:
--abortion, on going legalized means for over 40 years; 60 million babies and their blood filling the land; planned (death)parenthood has only gone one step more in their evil;
--homosexuality legalized after years/decades of tv shows laughing at it, knowing of it and now accepting of it; 'a little leaven, leavens the whole' now in our families, schools, workplace, sports and churches; transgender is the next step of evil infiltrating even now;
--murder-suicide, an epidemic across our land, filling the nation and families, communities with death and dying of the greatest sorrow and horror; once again filling the land with blood to defile the land;
--increased with goods and have need of nothing; a very fat, self-indulging, too rich and spoiled, selfish and humanistic attitude toward life and others;
--the 4 great sins of the book of Jeremiah that Judah and Jerusalem was condemned with is now ours
1. we have forsaken the Lord:
2. we have forgotten the Lord;
3. having ears to hear we do not hear;
4. worship of false idols
--of course these are only a few mentioned, but a specific identification must be understood by the church to enter into prayer times to pray effectively; may we be led to make these specifics known to the body, who seems to be oblivious to specific praying;
III. What is being suggested for a solution to this?
1. Monthly meeting of prayer for churches on the 4th Sunday of each month; during some time on this Sunday time for corporate, small group or individual times of prayer for revival, confession, worship/adoration of God, restoration of church;
2. One other day during the month, besides Sunday to occupy for specific purpose to come together to pray against these evils and for our Lord's kingdom;
3. Fast - a fasting of food/water/other for one time per month/or per week;
4. Protracted meetings to meet for longer than whatever has been done before. We sing 'Sweet Hour of Prayer' but most never pray 1 hour. LEt us first achieve at least 1 hour in prayer and then advance to greater depths of staying before the Lord til He comes. Protracted meetings through all night prayer meetings. Broken Before the Throne prayer times that lasted 3 - 7 days of continual time together and prayer.
5. A need to pray for where deaths have occurred and beseeching the Lord for mercy and forgiveness for the blood upon the land that has defiled it. This should take place in Chicago, Baltimore, St. Louis/Ferguson, New Orleans and Washington, DC to name a few that have seen record numbers of homicides.
6. 24/7 prayer chain; devised to combat evil through prevailing prayer; following the great 100yr. prayer meeting that 'prayed without ceasing' with Zinzendorf's group in Germany. Ultimately to have 2 - 3 people per every hour that not one hour surrendered to Satan that has not been prayed over and prayed through.
You are being asked to sign on to this and help promote this great response to meet the alarms that are sounding. This is only an outline seeking to start a greater involvement, awareness and action in the face of these times of alarms. And I am sure that there are others that are promoting and other activity that I am not aware of. I am simply saying, that I am not aware of any direct outflow to the churches to seek for local churches, individuals, groups to counter this great rise of evil that is happening. I would be glad to hear and know of these activities.

Enough is enough church!! As I left the church the other night, the fire alarms were sounding. I drove just over 2 miles back to my house, and I passed cars and trucks, volunteer firefighters, with their red lights flashing to get to the fire house. I saw fire trucks roaring out to the emergency and meet the need at hand. The alarms sounded and people responded to meet the need.
Well, for our nation, future, families, lost souls and the state of the church today, the alarms are sounding but I do not see the needed response by the church to meet the need. I believe the need is met through prevailing prayer. In my video on my ustream page, I spent over 50 minutes the other night to address the issues behind these alarms. I will not spend great time here writing about them, but state them briefly for our understanding of what is happening for our needed response.

I. What is happening?
--ISIS; a continued evil group being used by Satan for death, destruction and dread;
--Planned Parenthood videos over the last weeks have shown that their butchery of innocent lives is as evil as ISIS;
--police officers being gunned down at a record pace;
--uneasiness between police and society, leading to anarchy and increased crime in many places; a vigilante stance is coming;
--county clerk, and other businesses' and workers being sued, arrested, fired for religious freedom views against homosexuality and the legalizing of this abomination;
--murder-suicides continue;
--public executions at schools, military bases, work place and on the streets;
--judgments through weather phenomena; record heat, drought, and floods;
--judgments through pestilence and disease; mumps, legionnaires disease, bubonic plague, and brain/flesh eating bacteria;
II Why is this happening?
One simple word, sin. We know this is the reason of these judgments and great evils unfolding. Let us see these sins mentioned by name, and by recognizing them we might be able to confess and repent and pray against these evils:
--abortion, on going legalized means for over 40 years; 60 million babies and their blood filling the land; planned (death)parenthood has only gone one step more in their evil;
--homosexuality legalized after years/decades of tv shows laughing at it, knowing of it and now accepting of it; 'a little leaven, leavens the whole' now in our families, schools, workplace, sports and churches; transgender is the next step of evil infiltrating even now;
--murder-suicide, an epidemic across our land, filling the nation and families, communities with death and dying of the greatest sorrow and horror; once again filling the land with blood to defile the land;
--increased with goods and have need of nothing; a very fat, self-indulging, too rich and spoiled, selfish and humanistic attitude toward life and others;
--the 4 great sins of the book of Jeremiah that Judah and Jerusalem was condemned with is now ours
1. we have forsaken the Lord:
2. we have forgotten the Lord;
3. having ears to hear we do not hear;
4. worship of false idols
--of course these are only a few mentioned, but a specific identification must be understood by the church to enter into prayer times to pray effectively; may we be led to make these specifics known to the body, who seems to be oblivious to specific praying;
III. What is being suggested for a solution to this?
1. Monthly meeting of prayer for churches on the 4th Sunday of each month; during some time on this Sunday time for corporate, small group or individual times of prayer for revival, confession, worship/adoration of God, restoration of church;
2. One other day during the month, besides Sunday to occupy for specific purpose to come together to pray against these evils and for our Lord's kingdom;
3. Fast - a fasting of food/water/other for one time per month/or per week;
4. Protracted meetings to meet for longer than whatever has been done before. We sing 'Sweet Hour of Prayer' but most never pray 1 hour. LEt us first achieve at least 1 hour in prayer and then advance to greater depths of staying before the Lord til He comes. Protracted meetings through all night prayer meetings. Broken Before the Throne prayer times that lasted 3 - 7 days of continual time together and prayer.
5. A need to pray for where deaths have occurred and beseeching the Lord for mercy and forgiveness for the blood upon the land that has defiled it. This should take place in Chicago, Baltimore, St. Louis/Ferguson, New Orleans and Washington, DC to name a few that have seen record numbers of homicides.
6. 24/7 prayer chain; devised to combat evil through prevailing prayer; following the great 100yr. prayer meeting that 'prayed without ceasing' with Zinzendorf's group in Germany. Ultimately to have 2 - 3 people per every hour that not one hour surrendered to Satan that has not been prayed over and prayed through.
You are being asked to sign on to this and help promote this great response to meet the alarms that are sounding. FATHER'S DAY PRAYER - 2015
June 21, 2015
O Heavenly Father,
There is only one Father and that is You, my God. The Father of my Savior, and Your Son, Jesus Christ, the Lamb, Light and Lion. From You proceed all earthly and spiritually blessings. Praise You for grace, mercy and glory.
Thank You for allowing me to be a dad. Children given as a blessing and a labor for Your glory and kingdom. Where much is given, much is required. I have 8 souls entrusted for their well-being, not only in this world, but eternity to come. I have others that you have set in my midst over the years to be an impact for Your greater purpose, cause me to see and understand these things. Grant that these souls would be saved from the uttermost and kept in Your most precious hands. Cover them with the blood and keep them from spotting the white garments. May they all be at that table of the marriage supper of the Lamb, when we finally get home. Use them for Your kingdoms purposes and take them wherever, whenever and however You see fit. For there is no mistake or error with Thee.
Forgive me, Lord, for my failures as a dad. My weakness, my selfishness, my pride, my anger, my loss of purpose, will and choice, I ask of You to forgive and correct my ways. Forgive for lack of love, compassion, time, for disciplining in anger, and forgive for not seeing the greater work You were wanting to do in them, long before they was born. "Before you was born, I knew thee".
Take this family and lead us, guide us and keep us. Let not Satan have his will and way among us. Give wisdom, strength to overcome and may our witness and light shine brightly in this world of darkness. Oh, how we need Thee, every hour we need Thee, yea, every moment. Come now and abide with us, in us and work through us for Your honor and glory,
Hear the prayers and answer O Father of heaven and earth; we ask in the Name of Your Beloved Son,
in Jesus' Holy and Precious Name, Amen
